not sure what to make of this.......

I'm not really sure if this is the place to be asking, but I'm hoping someone here can help. I have never really remembered dreams much before, maybe once every couple of years.

So this is a little new, and a little odd to me, but here it goes.

A few nights ago, I had a dream, where I could not tell if I where dreaming or not. Sounds like a lucid dream, except I had no control over what happened.

Started out as an awsome dream, but near the end turned into what I would have to call a dramatic nightmare. Right before I wake up I am seconds from being killed.....and then I wake up not knowing what it was that was trying to kill me.

Every night since then I've had a different dream.....but it all ends turning into a nightmare, with me waking up seconds before I would have been killed. All different dreams....but all having the same aspects where I do not think I am dreaming, and have no control over even myself.

I'm curious why I am having these out of nowhere, after a lifetime of not dreaming whatsoever.

But I'm also curious how to make them stop....I am at the point where I am somewhat afraid to sleep, and I dont want that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as soon as possible....hopefully before I go to sleep tonight.

      thank you in advance.

Well the best help I can think of is to recognize that all things in your dream are aspects of yourself. Everything in your own dream is you. That being said, I think you should make that a mantra before sleep so you can allow the death. (My own perspective of course) It seems you are ready for a change, an aspect of yourself is ready to die. If you recognize the one doing the killing as yourself and the one dieing as yourself it should help. Reoccuring dreams usually mean change is needed and a little bit of partisipation too.

It could also be a test of confidence, to stand up to the one who is killing. Perhaps if you have a tendency to self doubt or disaproval, this could be the issue. Again if this speaks to you, recognize that every aspect of your dream is yourself. So either way that self doubter will either stand up and become strong or die, both ways will probably work. Best of luck and always come up with your own prediction, these are just ideas to help you get an idea of how it might work. - Flowstill
