Question about a dream/nightmare I had

I just found this forum through a google search, and I was hoping that someone could give me some insight. I just had a dream about an hour and a half ago. It was night time and I was sitting in an older lady's kitchen. I was facing a window that allowed me to view a carousel outside. The older lady wasn't saying anything. I believe she was sipping coffee or some kind of drink. Then she froze along with everything else. I couldn't move. Its hard to explain how extremely still everything became. It was an eerie kind of still, mechanical like. The carousel outside began moving in the dark, extremely fast. It was the only thing I could hear, but I still saw AND FELT that everything else was still. At this point I realized I was in a dream, and I started to gear my thoughts to wake up. I did wake up laying on my side. Does anyone have any suggestions? What could this mean?

Heh, well a technical congrats on the lucid, and welcome to DV. The elder slady sounds almost maternal, could she represent your family, or someone else close to you? Try and find your own meanings, don't relate on other resources to do it for you. How was your life been? Did it seemingly come to a halt, only to swing back up out of control? How did you feel in the dream? That can often tell more than the dream itself.
