stuck in bed

I've had this dream many times before where I'm laying down and I'm stuck in my bed. I try to move but i can't, sometimes it actually feels like I'm in the same bed but than my brain forces me to wake up. it seems like every time i have this dream i wake up on the same side of the bed as in my dream. its not sleep paralysis, it is definitely a dream. Does anyone know what this means

OK, 1st Question were you lucid or non lucid ? If you were lucid, just IMAGINE moving your arms you'll probably break free if non lucid dream then it's probably because of the sleep paralysis. In your dream you're probably trying to move about but you're absolutely stuck .. the answer is to stop trying to move and let go however if you're not lucid, then you probably don't recognise what is going on and are still trying to move which you can't Maybe a suggestion as you go to sleep "the next time I find myself stuck in bed, I will recognise that I am dreaming" say this about 10 times as you fall asleep
