Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a nice holiday weekend! I actually took time to read a novel, and got a lot of cleaning done, and just relaxed! Fall is in the air here, and I'm loving it! Cool and crisp is my favorite weather.

Dream: TV-DVD & Emerald Girl; Sept. 6, 2009

So, this dream was lucid, and too short, and actually woke me up in the middle of the night. I saw a folded out DVD case that held multiple CD's, I'd say at least four, maybe five or six. It had a white background. That's all I saw, no pictures or anything, but the case was definitely white. It was followed by an image of a young girl/woman, quite pretty, wearing something like a body suit, I think, it seemed flesh-toned, and she was covered in swirling patterns of green stones or green glass pieces. I thought they might be emeralds, or they might be polished green glass, like dark green beach glass almost, but shiny, not that soft sort of opaque look that beach glass gets. EOD

Notes: Puzzled, I figured that a DVD with all those slots had to be for a TV series, and the only one I have that is white is season I of "The Dead Zone." That made me think perhaps the dream was related to the book I read this weekend, a novel by Julia Cameron, called Mozart's Ghost. It was a great read, funny and interesting. It's about a young woman who is a medium, having started seeing ghosts at an early age, and she moves from Ann Arbor, Michigan, to New York City, because she's hoping that in New York she'll blend in better, not be so "weird." As the novel opens, she's been in NY about two years, and encounters a piano filling her lobby so she can't get out to get to work on time. The piano belongs to the other main character, a young pianist from Maine, working on his doctorate and preparing for a contest that if he wins, will set him firmly on a solid career path. Thing is, she becomes aware that the pianist comes with a ghost! A ghost who at first refuses to let her see him, but only hear him, and then later, is finally revealed as the ghost of Mozart, who considers the young pianist as to be a protege. It's really funny in places, as she does not give Mozart the respect he considers himself to be entitled to, and so she'll be arguing with him in her head while trying to hold a conversation with someone else, and it's a comedy of errors in terms of missed signals and lost messages (mostly the fault of the medium's brother, a violin-maker), and all in all, it was good fun! A romantic comedy in the making.

I think perhaps I was bothered by the medium making so much money, and that *could* be what the emeralds are about??? Money green? I am conflicted about money for psychic or spiritual gifts, personally, for myself, but I don't actually mind what others do. It's just a thing I have, I guess. But somehow, that doesn't feel quite right here, either, as I liked the character, and liked her ethics. Maybe, too, it's precognitive, and the book will become a TV show! That would be rather cool, really, if done well. I do like TV that deals with dreams and visions and psychic abilities, and the whole topic is very popular right now, so there's a feast of it out there. It's interesting to see how the media handles these things.

Anyway, just thought I'd share the dream, as it was odd, and if it does become a series, you can maybe remember you heard it here first.

Julia Cameron, by the way, is the same author best known for her series _The Artist's Way_ and sequels. It was nice to see a novel by her as well!
