Please help me understand this dream..

Hi! I am new here!! I am hoping that someone can help me understand this dream I had last night. My husband and I (and our child together, I have 2 from a previous marriage) were in a parking lot. He was looking in the back seat of a van, and some stranger came up to the van and stuck his head in the front seat saying something to my husband about the van, my husband quickly said "It's cool buddy, I can handle it" at that moment, this guy grabs a baseball bat out of the van and starts hitting my husband with it. Now this is odd, because my husband is a strong burly dude, someone comes after him with a ball bat, he'd grab it from them and hit THEM with it.. you know the type.. so this guy hits my husband with the bat, I run into the store, which is like Home Depot and try to call the police.. when they answer, I can't talk.. then my dream fast forwards to us in a house and this guy is holding us hostage, and he's going around and loosening all of the screws on the doors so we can't lock them.. then he acted like he was going to leave, went up to my husband and acted like he was going to shake his hand, then he stabbed his arm. He came over toward me and our 3 yr old and ran the knife near my son, and then the dream flashed forward again.. I saw his car, it was an old beater that was white with red fenders and he was leaving.. I looked out the window.. his car was gone.. I went to call the police again and he walked back in the door. Then I woke up and couldn't go back to sleep. We don't have any crazy things going on at home.. the only thing that is off is that my hubby is working out of town for a few days.. but no big deal. Thoughts? I appreciate your time and input! Thanks!

Hi there. Wow, that's a pretty scary dream. I would say that the stranger represents some "unknown danger". To me, it seems that you are worried about something, specifically about protecting your family. Neither you, your husband, or the police were able to do anything about this guy -- like, nobody could protect you and your child. This might not be related really to crime -- in fact, with the way dreams work, it's probably pretty unlikely that it would have anything to do with an actual physical threat. It might be financial. There's also an unpredictable element to the guy -- his car is not there, but he comes back -- you think he is leaving, he doesn't. So, it might represents problems that you feel are coming out of nowhere or that you feel you can't prepare for because they just happen. Or even though it's not a big deal, maybe your husband being out of town is making you have a little more stress since you have to do it all yourself, even if only for a couple of days. I know how 3 year olds can be! Lots of energy!

I agree with Harper 100%. I encourage you to pray with your husband and begin rebuking ans binding the enemy off of yalls household.
