      Recurring themes in dreams.

Well let me start off by saying hello I'm new to the forum and have been having great difficulty with my dreams all my life so I decided to actually go on the internet and search and I found this forum so hopefully I'll be able to get some answers.

As of late I have been having recurring themes in my dreams. Now I have never in my life had any sort of recurring dream or themes of any sort. This is why I am greatly concerned about it. I've had three dreams that involve the same thing, a person I know, partially unshaven legs & the colour gray.

The first dream was simply him just looking at my legs, I knew they were unshaven but he didn't seem to see it until he grabbed one of my legs and looked disgusted when he did noticed I had not shaved them.- the colour gray could have been in this dream but I simply didn't notice.

The second dream he unexpectedly showed up at a party wearing a gray hoodie. He had the hood up and I couldn't see his face I could only see his smile so i'd know it was him. we made arrangements to meet later and when we met at the place and the first thing he asked me is if I had shaved my legs? I thought I had but then halfway through the dream I had noticed they were only partially shaved. - The hoodie scene bothered my alot. There was something off and spooky about him wearing a gray hoodie.

The third dream I had again noticed my legs were partially shaved and the guy was wearing a gray suit this time. The thing that particularly bothered me about this dream was as I was listening to him talk about his regrets in life his hand started to become disfigured and weird.

During the third dream I said to myself in the dream: What if this is real? Or am I dreaming? Yup i'm dreaming. Now when I figure out that I am dreaming I control the rest of the dream from there on out. I NEVER let the dream play out as it normal would but I didn't take control that time which is a first.

Now this guy in the dreams has never seen my legs or anything and I have analyzed this dream only to come up with partial answers. I would like some insite into these strange dreams please. I feel extremely embarrassed in the dreams for having unshaven legs. And if Im wearing shorts i'm not going to forget to shave my legs so it must have significant meaning.

I would appreciate any and all insight to this dilemma I am experiencing. Please and thank you.

Hey there, welcome the forums. I'm new myself.

I don't know much about dreams myself but as long you don't look like Bigfoot running around in the backwoods of Vancouver, but since a dream, why you should you give a damn about what he (or anyone else for that matter) thinks about your legs?

I can't say for sure, but it sounds to me like you're very self-concious about whether anyone sees your legs with hair, especially this person you know.

I don't know anything about him in real life because obviously I haven't met him but it sounds to me like you're unsure of this guy's intentions and judgements. Like you don't actually know if he would be disgusted or not but your mind has been anxious about it... do you like him?

Also sounds like your mind isn't sure if he would be healthy for you too.

That's not to say he wouldn't be! Because dreams are more of a reflection of our subconscious than they are of reality. But you'll know if that worry is there or not.

I could be wrong... it could have a much deeper meaning. Your unshaven legs exposed for all to see could be symbolic, maybe you're afraid of letting someone (this person you mention maybe?) see the raw, inner you just in case you are rejected for who you fundamentally are. Even in real life, I believe the act of shaving legs out of self-conciousness (and not say, comfort or style) does reflect a similar anxiety as covering up the real you out of fear of rejection.

(I'd just like to say, if that is a real issue for you, then I sincerely hope you can resolve it. You probably don't need that added stress. Some people can be incredibly shallow in this world and deny you friendship just because you don't conform to certain fashion standards or interests, but just think, would you really want to be accepted by such people anyway? People who spread negativity via rejection and disgust towards others to boost their own petty ego?)

Take all that with a pinch of salt, I'd hate to place ideas into your head that don't resonate with you, so only take what has meaning to you. You know best what these dreams mean, even if it's not clear just now.
