Hey guys,

Thanks for this forum, hope maybe you can shed some light on this one. I had this dream a couple days ago, but for some reason I keep thinking about it as if it's gnawing on me.

After I awoke, I wrote this down:

"I had a weird dream last night:

i don't recall to how i had been there. the family was kind though and decidedly gave me a place to sleep, if nothing else. there were all generations; the two older ladies must've been 60+ and they were settling down into their bed mats and conversing with each other in the main room. the children sat watching the television with wide, bright eyes in a small den. what might've been the parents of the children sat outside talking to me. i don't recall to how i had been there.

we went inside and the young woman still was debating on what we should do about myself. she wanted me to know that she normally wouldn't ask for a small fee, but times were hard. i told her i intended to be gone in the morning with no effort on their part, and continued to thank them for their kindness. i sat down as the children were being put to sleep. the parents said good night and i was left in the den with my thoughts. I calculated the distance between my destination and my current location and found that it was not but 4 miles; a distance i could easily walk.

the television was still on and i was settling into a sleep. it wasn't long after that it seemed that i was awake but hallucinating. i saw myself in the television and the next thing i knew i had reached through the screen.

i was in another world. at first i was in a courtyard with a bare, extremely tall tree. there was some sort of competition because there were two other people with me. one was an instructor of some sort and the other was either helping me or competing against me. the instructor stood while we threw knives into the tree in such a way that we started to climb up the trunk. the toughest part came when we had to climb back down. it was a staggering height and we had to let ourselves down slowly to recover all of the knives.

it gave me a sense of a race because when i hit the ground i immediately ran over to a circular stone with shrines implanted into its side. there were three major shrines with a bunch of lessers. Monkey, snake, and lastly elephant. There was some way to activate the shrines and my counter-part was struggling on his first. i on the other hand seemed to have found out the solution quickly, as i was manipulating the lesser shrines and adding a piece to the major shrines.

after i was able to complete the shrines, i entered a small and claustrophobic temple adjacent to the stone. its ceiling was too low but i refused to be slowed down. i passed the realm of the monkey and of the snake, each with their own statues and likenesses. when i arrived to the elephants lair, the statue was obscured, but i could see a human form in robes with a disproportionate elephant head on top. its tusks reached for its feet. as i approached i felt fatigue. i grew weary as if some outside force was drugging me or putting me to sleep.

in my unconciousness, i had some sort of vision. from my courtyard, i could see the tree again, and the stone, but this time the viewpoint zoomed out immensely and i could see that we were on some sort of floating isle. another floating isle rose up in front of us, in which the distance relative to us i could not tell. the viewpoint kept zooming out to reveal these marvels, and i heard a voice that said, "the one to unlock the secret of gods..." and trailed off.

when i awoke i was in a gondola on a river surrounded by forrest. instead of rowing with a long stick, however, i had some sort of spirit rope or extension that came off of my arm in a fluid manner that shot foward and pulled the boat forward. i pulled myself what seemed to be downstream, and -

the next conscious thought was being in a sort of vagabondish way spending the night at some one's house. they were a family of sorts, there were children and young parents not much older than me, and a couple of older ladies, but they were settling down for rest. I didn't recall to how I had come to be there."
