      This might be interesting.

      So, after having a dream last night, I decided to get some imput.

      It began a basic nondescript dream, I can't even remember it.
      Then, a figure appeared in from of me, with the head of a raven and wrapped in a cloak of raven feathers. Pinpricks of blue light came from his eyes, and the background was blue with lightening.

      He was not threatening, just watching. I got nervous and waved my hands in front of me like I was pulling down fabric and it broke away in feathers.

      I was not watchig anything before bed, and the only things I have been reading is a very dry account of the Visigoths.

      Who is he?

      I've had a similar dream of myself at a cross roads, with a little man with a crooked leg, cane and hat came and sat down next to me and chatted. I knew who he was, and that in itself was a little off putting.

      Why on earth do I keep having legitimate dreams of other peoples' gods?
      Its like something that crawled out of the depths of a charles di lint novel or something. :/

      While you may be regarding your unusual dream images simply as reflecting ‘other people’s gods’, these images like all other images in your dreams illustrate aspects of yourself and the ideas you have in your own mind.

      The male figure with a raven’s head basically represents an idea you have which is supposedly rational (since it is a male human figure) but the logic pertaining to it is really ‘for the birds’ – a bit ridiculous and simply emotional in nature. It can also suggest an idea in which the intent is to convey some spiritual logic, but this is logic coming of a an instinctive and emotional nature (from a bird’s head). {Based upon your comment referring to ‘a basic nondescript dream’, the idea seen as the raven headed male could pertain in part to this comment because even a nondescript dream holds important information and self knowledge.}

      In your mind the idea you have, one that reflects an emotional spiritual concept, is being seen in a spiritual context (the background was blue) but the light - the knowledge and intelligence – coming from your higher consciousness or greatest intelligence is not straight (as lightening comes in a jagged line), meaning it not honest, legitimate or the truth. In this context you see the beliefs pertaining to your idea as reflecting intelligence and knowledge that is spiritually approved. (blue light came from his eyes) The pinpricks of light from the eyes suggest that the belief system your idea functions upon has ‘gotten the point’, but the point in this case does not provide great light.

      The cloak of raven feathers suggests using an idea about which there is some conspiracy or intrigue. {What the cloak is hiding or covering up is the fact that there is a human body under it which is not being governed by human logic.} While you do not feel any threat from this idea you have, you could feel some nervousness about it and waive it - renounce or give it up. (waved my hands) It is just a light weight idea of no real significance. (it broke away in feathers)

      Because you might be associating the raven headed male with a raven god of myth, the dream also implies that a spiritual concept or idea you could be using is simply more myth than reality.
