My Dream Thread

I'm unable to recall most of the dream until a certain point... all I remember is riding on a go-kart which is much too small for me so my legs are scraping the ground which I found to be very uncomfortable.

I put on a silly looking pair of glasses and a friend and I head to down to another friends house... I remembering seeing Laura's face, no more.

Then suddenly I'm aware that I'm with my exgirlfriend. We're engaging in some foreplay and I become so aroused that I wake up...
After I wake up, I don't even bother to re-collect the dreams before, I just want to fall back asleep so I can continue where I left off.

Next I find myself chasing someone around. We are both driving gokarts and we're zooming down back-alleys and sidewalks in what appears to be a largely deserted city. Most of the buildings are red brick and I got the feeling that it was a very smelly place. The person I am chasing is someone I know... not sure who, but in the dream they are kind of short, fat, ugly and stinky. I eventually caught the person and we engaged in some brief dialogue but I can't remember what happened now.

I know there is alot of this dream I'm missing but I can't recall.
I'm inclined to think that in the beginnning of the dream I was with my friend Jake... he is in my dreams frequently and we are usually in some sort of arena/stadium or a large building of some sort but I can never figure out exactly what it is.

I also have been having lots of dreams where I will see Laura's face for a second and will not remember anything that came directly before of after seeing her.
In one dream I became semi-lucid and then Laura floated up to me, I kissed her and then she floated away, and then I became unconscious again. Strange.

I will usually also have at least a few dreams a month that involve me and my exgirlfriend. Usually we are doing something of a sexual nature but it never turns out to be satisfying. In one dream, we were about to have sex when suddenly I find her asleep on the other side of the bed, and then next thing I know, this kid is choking me. In another dream she and I are laying down on the floor in some sort of convenience store watching tv. She gets up when her friends show up and for the rest of the time she ignores me.

I really wish I would stop having dreams about her... I used to spend a lot of time thinking about her or who I wanted her to be and eventually I realized how destructive that was and I stopped, but it still comes through in my dreams.

I think I have a bit of sexual frustration here, no?

I only remember the REM stage of this dream, maybe a little bit before...

My friend Matt and I are walking down to the edge of the river... to smoke I think.
There's a large wooded hill leading down to waterfront and once we get there, the scene is very familiar... With the woods behind us, there is a large limestone cliff on the right with the river running parallel to it on the left. I've been there in another dream which involved speeding down the river in a hydrofoil. So we get to the river's edge and sit down. I remember that the sun is realllly bright and I have to hold my hand in front of it because it's hurting my eyes. Next thing I know, we're in Matt's car, he is driving, and it starts snowing. We mention how wierd it is that it's snowing because it was sunny and warm just a little bit ago. (obviously missed that dream sign) and then it gets a little fuzzy. in the next part of my dream I am a young girl and I am part of royalty. There is an older woman who is there to protect me. We are on a wooded hill seems like the same one from earlier... but down below us there is no cliff and river, instead it is a deep canyon. There is a ledge running around the entire circumference, a castle made of dirt in the back left corner, and in the middle there is some wierd looking structure made of thick tree limbs... at first it just looks like a pile of dead limbs laying there. There is a man on the right ledge of the canyon and he has a wolf that is standing on the middle structure sniffing around, apparantly looking for us. I jumped off the hill down onto the tree-limb structure (which now seems a lot larger and like its moving around, trying to knock me off) I finally decend limbs until I am at the base of the structure on the floor of the canyon. The wolf is still sniffing around very close by where I am but he doesn't notice me yet... Next there is a lot going on in a very short amount of time, so I don't remember details. The wolf spots me, my 'protector' figure leaps down from the hill and swoops me out of danger. I find out that the dirt-castle belongs to a greedy king and he is searching the canyon in hopes of capturing me. There's alot of fighting which I don't take much notice of but in the end the king is defeated and I am rescued... the end lol
You ever notice how rushed the last few moments of a dream can seem?
Somehow the dream knows you are about to wake up, so it has to show you the rest of the story quick before you do.

This dream was very wierd...
I'm down at my friend Scott's house with him. His sister and brother are there also. His little brother and I are playing a video game where I have to shoot little things out of the sky by touching them with a pointer on a little handheld screen... eventually the ex comes over and we exchange few words.
I'm in the Scott's house still but instead of Scott's family being there, now it is Matt and his family... It's some kind of event because there are lots and lots of people inside and outside the house. I'm helping Matt pick up garbage and somehow I manage to accidentally somersault through a wall while doing this. lol
I feel like an idiot and everyone at this party is giving me a hard time for my stunt.
I get pretty upset about this and decide to leave...
There are two people walking with me, I forget who, but it is a guy and a girl. And maybe we are walking a dog? I think we are because I vaguely remember watching a dogs shadow on a wall morph and distort all crazy like. We're walking in some town, it's night out, and the blocks are arranged very strangly... I think that there was a road running between every single house, so that each block only had one house on it and they were not really lined up straight or anything. I noticed that the house in front of me was very large, white, and it had tree's that had grown right in front of the house, and they were painted white and it actually looked like they were just part of the wall. I said something about this to the girl and she said something like "Oh my god! all of the houses are like that, look at them all!" I looked around... every house was two stories tall, white, and had statues or carvings of religious symbols in the front...
The one that sticks in my head the most was seeing Jesus on the cross with two serpents coiling around him. I'm pretty sure we started running...
We end up in some sort of crazy labrynth... there lot's of long hallways, doors, spiral staircases, and torches on the wall. I get the strange feeling that I'm being toyed with, like I'm in a movie without knowing. Eventually we go into one door where there are people sitting on couches watching movies... the room is just like the living room in Scott's house, but it is mirrored. Some crazy intense in-my-face guy is telling me to re-inact the movie Mortal Kombat with him... I told him I don't know the script, and that I just wanted to go home and go to bed. Then I woke up.

I really have no idea where this dream came from... but I do think that I've had a dream before where I was in some of these places, especially the labrynth.

In the following account I am going to try to recollect a dream I've just had.
I was asleep for roughly 3 and a half hours... all of which I was in REM.
I became lucid a few times throughout the dream I'm sure. Some parts are still hazy so I feel like I am going to miss a few points that I will have to come back and add later maybe. But for now I am going to include every little detail that I can remember, although they may be out of order a little bit.

The dream begins when I find out that I have been transferred to work at the Pizza Hut in either Davenport or Rock Island. (I work at a Pizza Hut in real life.)
I am dropped off by a family member. This is a pretty strange place for a Pizza Hut I think to myself... It is in between the Highway and the Mississippi River, kind of set down in a valley... Everything is green and wooded and there is a darkness that seems unordinary now that I replay the scene.

I walk into the Pizza Hut and there are six or seven other people there. We are screwing around alot, not really doing our jobs. Instead we are just talking with eachother and joking around, chasing eachother around the store... I distinctly remember that there was two different kitchens which really confused me. There was one girl that I knew... but her face was different. There is 2 older girls and one older guy who are around my age and the rest were apparently younger than us. Pretty soon though, the boss shows up.. everyone gets right to work.. I remember feeling VERY awkward as I introduced myself to him. I shook his hand and he made a comment about how I FINALLY shook his hand, and I should've done that right away. This was confusing too. So we are all working very hard as to not upset the boss... he seems like an easy going guy but I could tell that he was something else underneath his nice friendly guy attitude.

Soon enough we are off work but for some reason I felt like we were running out and hiding from the boss. But the kids ask me to follow them and come hang out.
We all bolt out of the store and we are running somewhere very fast. I am in the back trying to keep up. There is a kid who is my age running next to me and we both litterally slide down a set of stairs on our feet going really fast. I ask him if he skateboards, and tell him that he should if he doesn't. We'll start calling this kid Tim since I think that was actually his name.... I find out one of the girls with us is his sister too. We'll call her Jen.

So we are heading into a town, not sure what town, but it looked very industrial and run down. We get to a house and the kids bring me inside. All of the sudden everything gets very sober and quiet. The kids start to tell me a story....
They explain how they do not work at will, but they are forced... by their father they tell me... and I find out that their father is the boss and that he is pure evil.
Then they tell me how, when they were young, he murdered their mother and maybe a younger sibling in cold blood and then forced the rest of them to work for him. I am really shocked at this point and I'm filled with a terrible sadness. The other kids go outside and Jen and I stay inside to talk... she tells me how she remembers her mother amoung other things... I felt so sad for these kids but I didn't know how to help them.

We go outside to leave. From behind us comes a black dog that starts chasing us...
This dog was evil to the bone, I could feel it. (In a previous dream, I encountered a dark man surrounded by dogs and I got a terrible feeling from him and his animals. I tried to fly over them to avoid them but ended up landing right between the man and his dogs.. this was followed by several horrible nightmarish dreams)
I got the same feeling from this dog that I did from the man and his animals in the previous dream and instantly I was glad that I remembered that I could fly

O what a joy flying is... I have been able to fly away from enemies in my dreams for a few weeks now, which makes me really happy.

So I'm flying above buildings and I lost track of the rest of the kids.
Somehow I ended up back outside Pizza Hut. I am heading to the door when I hear the boss... He says "I see you met my (Insert name of dog here)" It was something long and creepy.. demonic sounding. I try to play it off like I don't know what he is talking about, but I know that he knows. So I decide to turn back around and walk with him... he tells me something along the lines that his kids are liars and that he would never do anything horrible like they said. I don't know whether I believed him or not... but then the dream suddenly takes a 180.

I don't remember what happened really..
I do remember being scared to death and floating in darkness for awhile.
It becomes pretty obvious that the Boss is something like demon and I am fearful for my safety... at this point I become completely lucid and WAKE UP. I come downstairs and explain this dream I've just had to my mom since she is very experienced in interpreting dreams and overall she is very enlightened spiritually.
Everything is better now after talking to her....
But I am still dreaming... I did not escape from this entity yet!
Suddenly I am back in the house the kids took me to.
The boss is in a VERY different form now... not a normal looking man to say the least. Now this part is very confusing and hard to remember but I will try....
Either both me and the boss had a multitude of arms reaching out and struggling with eachother, or maybe it was just me fighting him off... but either way... I remember the rooms being filled with long tendrals coming come from one of us...
I am struggling very hard and I feel like the boss is taking me over... I call out for my mom to help (which was completely wierd because I have never done that I don't think) and suddenly her arms reach out and I connect with them... the boss no longer has ahold of me, he is gone. I remember lots of light... and relief, joy, happiness... all over good feelings.

Now the dreams continues for some time, but I don't remember any of it except one part for now. This part was reallly wierd too....
I become semi-lucid, floating around somewhere... and then my sister is next to me... I tell her how I am dreaming right now and it is very odd that she can be in my dream right now... ? Then I asked her if she knows that I'm crazy and she says she knows and I am suddenly in tears screaming about how crazy I am.
lol so that was wierd.

But let me tell you... I have had a hard time conveying the emotions that I felt during this dream....
It was by far one of the most emotionally intense dreams I've ever had... the terror was blood curdling, the melencholy was the saddest ever..., the relief was like being born again....
And the wierdest of all... the normal parts were extremely normal.. like someone was trying to convince me that I was actually awake the whole time.
The boss was evil..... pure evil... and I don't really know if this is an archetype of my own mind, or an outside presence coming into my dreams.
The kids were the embodyment of all the grief and pain that i have ever felt for my peers... but they were still able to be happy and playful! I'm pretty sure the kids were actually me.
My mom was like an angel... she saved me.
And the part with my sister was confusing to say the least... I know that I have been thinking alot about talking to my sister about some things... spirituality wise.
But I don't know about that one yet... I will have to figure it out in a future dream I would imagine...

You know how some things in dreams are reoccuring because they went uncompleted before... and in some dreams some things are finally resolved.. both in your dream and in waking life. Well that was what this dream was allll about...
I finally battled this 'demon' with the help of my mother and now I am relieved... but I still there are still more issues to be worked out. I know that this is only the beginning

. So let that be a positive note to end this account of a very intense and dark dream.

Around 3-4 I was chatting with LucidOne... we were mostly just talking about dreams, and duality, intent, etc...
I experienced a line of synchronicites that were to obvious to miss...
I said farewell to LucidOne and told him that I needed to get something done...
So then I proceeded to go straight to my room and lie down.
My ego remained in the drivers seat for awhile... then I found myself in a few strange dreams, which I can't recall right now...
I woke back up a few times, but without opening my eyes... and I could still see the room... and I knew instinctivly that it was a good time to start experiementing...
So i tried to imagine seeing the whole house and yard... I got a few flashes of outside perspectives.
I fell back asleep
Soon enough I found myself across the river at eagle point park... and I had the feeling I was supposed to meet someone... but no one was there except a car that was parked, oddly enough, next to an off-limits path going into the woods and down to the river...
I start going down the path... then faster, and faster AND FASTER and then... I became more lucid than I have ever been before
I was back in my bed with my eyes closed... I could still see my room but there was a mirror that was on the wall but beginning to creep onto the ceiling above my bed.. that's not really there but I didn't think of that. I thought "A mirror... that is how I can get out of here" or something like that.
I felt an incredible flow of energy... similar to my other lucid experiences... but this was beyond that... this was about to be my first REAL out of body experience without the use of drugs.

And what do you know... my legs start to float up off the bed...
Just my legs... and then my torso... and at this point my legs were pointing directly up... but my shoulders and arms and my head stayed planted firmy to the bed...
There was a bit of a struggle... I was so in awe that my bottom was floating and I couldn't even think about my top at this point...
My eyes snapped open... I recapped the experience to make sure I wasn't tricking myself... I wasn't.. it happened.
I closed my eyes and tried to picture the mirror and the room and my legs floating off the bed... didn't get anywhere for a few minutes.
I decided I probably wasn't going to be able to do it again right now and I got up.

I'm going to bust out my dreamlog and look for animals...

10/27/04 At one point I'm in a downtown area w/ lots of red lights... Chinatown?
Then I'm in a decrepid house where people have talking animals. There's one turtle that doesn't like me and keeps giving me dirty looks...

That one was wierd... never been stared down by a turtle until then.

4/05 Walking down the aisles of a dimly lit 'pet store' or zoo with animals in tanks on shelves. Most of the tanks are very dark and I cannot see what they contain. I am looking for a pair of owls. I remember some sort of menacing charactor.. at first it is something following me, then in the form of monkeys in a cage mocking me.

4/05 ..........we decide to go for a walk. the others start to fall behind and I look back... it's just Laura... and next to her on the sidewalk are two huge 'animals'. one looks like a giant kangaroo... I turn back around and under the street light there is a man with dogs around him. He's not the kind of guy I want to talk to so I decide to fly over him.. but then I end up landing right in the midst of him and his dogs... he gives me a VERY evil look and continues to walk. Soon we are at a house, there are several people I don't know..... There is animals all over the house.... A giant green iguana walks out of a closet..(almost a dinosaur, lol) Matt kicks it square in the gut... I notice that the animals have human-like faces which start to scare me a little bit. I pet a sheep on the head and it gets really pissed off and starts pissing on the floor... I start to walk around it and it jumps up and bites my hand... and it's still pissing on the floor... wake up]

I have a lot more dreams than this about animals but these ones were written down... I always have this black dog growling and chasing after me but I've learned to just fly away when I see it...
As for helpful and kind-spirited animals... I don't see too many of those anymore.
I wish I did though.. animals rule.

(lot's of dreams I don't remember) then...

I'm riding in a truck with a girl who's mom works for the fire department.
I tell her that I remember seeing her at all the fires.
We rear-end at least two cars, and she keeps driving off the road to avoid hitting cars.
Eventually I'm on a bike and, then I go into Wendy's WITH my bike.
There's people everywhere and they all look zombified, or in a concentration camp.
I'm trying to get out as fast as possible but I end up walking into a little room with 3 bums and they tell me to leave... i turn around and go out, end up getting stuck in another little room..... there's a computer, and a poster on the wall of some girl band and I stare at it forawhile. This is some of corporate office or something....
I start going through the drawers and I find a HUGE candy stash.....
This part is wierd.... The candy is labled with bands names.
Then I find a note which says sorry you're stuck in Wendy's forever...
