I'll start with my lucid dream: Last night I decided to try the WILD technique. Before last night I didn't exactly know anything about lucid dreaming, only that I do it often by realizing I'm dreaming by the weirdness that happens. Awake: I'm lying in bed. My room is as black as a cave to start out with but my eyes start getting used to the lack of light. I'm so extremely tired but I know that I really want to try and stay awake, if not just to feel the weird sensations people were writing about here once you're paralyzed. Maybe awake, maybe dreaming: Laying in bed I start to get some weird sensations, I'm not sure if I'm asleep though because I started out laying on my back and somehow I'm on my side. I hear some breathing, it could be mine, and out of the corner of eye I see the outline of what I think is a person or (what I think one might look like) a demon. After a few minutes of being scared out of my wits I realize its only the cover forming a weird shape right next to my perpheral vision. I'm getting some extremely insane sensations all over my body. Dreaming: I decide that I must be dreaming and get up and try some reality checks. I was going to wait longer because I didn't want to mess up the process of WILD. I lay up and look at my hand. This is a VAGUE memory and I'm not sure if the hand reality check is a memory or me just adding it afterwards. The rest is a not vague, extremely clear. I walk out of my door (which leads directly outside to our driveway). It's extremely dark, well we can't have that can we, I remember thinking. I lift my right hand, point towards where the sun would normally come up. I feel powerful, the sun starts rising. I can't see the sun, and never do, but I see everything getting brighter and brighter. Wow. I look in front of me and see the grass with snow on it. I decide to test my powers again and melt the snow. It disappears in an arc on the green grass floor. After that everything is a haze, I'm quite sure I stopped dreaming. Comments: I found and read about this website last night, as well as the forums. I really wanted to try some of the techniques describe in the tutorials. I guess I'm quite lucky to have succeeded on the WILD technique my first try on the first night after finding this website. I also have a non-lucid dream where I have spidermans powers and we're (the city) is being invaded by hang gliding weird people. Not a normal dream for me. I end up losing my powers and can do nothing to stop what happens. Thats about all I can remember from that. I would LOVE to hear anyones thoughts on my two dreams or what happened before my lucid dream. Thanks so much! Todd FIRST DREAM JOURNAL! :-D

Very cool, Frogger, very cool! You know, most people's dreams start out or come to their bedrooms or their houses -- mine rarely are. That must have been totally cool commanding the sun to rise. Wish I'd seen it. Your non-lucid sounds like it was pretty coherent, and also awesome. You did save the city right? So it sounds like the WILD worked for you, yes? If so, that's great! Some people can't do it on their first try, so kudos! Keep up the good work!
