PiscesDreams Dreams... never thought i'd do this..

      So...
Here bygynneth the Book of the Tales of PiscesDreams

Whan that Aprill with his shoures soote
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote,
And bathed every veyne in swich licour
Of which vertu engendred is the flour

And I mean that in the most Chaucerian way, because I'm kind of viewing this as a pilgrimage towards an LD... I had never really thought a DJ would necessary for me because I have always had excellent dream recall, without even really trying (I do have a recalling technique that I developed myself, but I've been doing since I was child... if you really want to know, ask ). But this is my second day on the site and I thought it might be fun start a DJ, not only to improve my already decent dream recall, but also to share my crazy-ass dreams... that have been getting much weirder as of late..

Everytime I have fallen asleep for the past week or so, I have had at least two false awakenings a night... usually I will be talking with someone I know (either in person or on the phone) about a dream I had... and realize that I am still dreaming as I talk to them. I don't know if this is would actually be considered a false awakening, or what, but for now, this is what I will call it (feel free to let me know if there is actually a term for this.

I will begin with my nap today:

      1. Dinner at Denny's -False Awakening

I am at some random Denny's have dinner with my family (mom, dad, brother) and my ex-boyfriend, Josh, with whom, after dating for over a year, we went on a break. Half way through the dinner, Josh and my brother walk out of the restaurant and don't return.

As we're leaving, we are walking out of the restaurant and can't find them. This is group of several black ladies out in the parking lot talking (lol, don't know why that was in there). We get into a black limo that's all distorted and weird looking. end dream.

In the next dream, I'm talking with my brother and it is the next day.
I say, "Will, was it just my imagination, or was Josh having dinner with us last night at Denny's???"
My brother says, "Ummmm.... what are you talking about? We never went out to dinner last night......."
And, in my dream, I suddenly realize that the dinner at Denny's was all a dream. end dream.

      2. Eating a taco -regular.... w/ precog?

I am in my apartment and find stuff to make a taco (in reality, I was starving... obviously, I had two dreams in a row about eating). So I make myself this kick ass taco, with all this lettuce and cheese (which is weird b/c I don't actually like lettuce on my tacos) and I'm sitting there enjoying it like none other.

In real life, my roommate and her boyfriend walk into the apartment and start having a conversation about making tacos tomorrow night for dinner....

This real conversation then leaks into my dream because, as I'm eating MY taco, I start to think to myself, "SHIT! I'm eating her taco stuff she was going to use tomorrow night for dinner! I have to go to the store now and buy more food!" end dream.

here is where the possible pre-cog comes in... I told them this dream when I wake up and it turns out that as I was dreaming the first part while they weren't there, they were at taco bell, buying tacos. (they like tacos lol)

Wow, that is weird about the tacos....I've had something like that happen a couple of times. I'm really interested in the whole pre-cog thing. Especially when it is something so seemingly insignificant like....getting tacos. I had a dream one time that my friend and co-worker was not at work b/c of something really bad that happened. I couldn't remember what it was upon waking, but on the way to work, I remembered that she had been arrested, which is weird b/c she was a good girl who wouldn't have done anything to get arrested for, or so I thought.. When I got to work she was not there and I got a funny feeling....I asked her best friend (who also worked there) where she was and she said she couldn't talk about it at work and she would tell me later. After work I said, "she got arrested didn't she" and the girl was like, "who told you?" Apparently the cops came to her apartment b/c of a noise complaint and found some weed....it really freaked me out.

P.S. glad you started a DJ. Keep it up!!!!

      Last night

Well... I don't know if I was overly tired, or what, but I don't remember any dreams from last night.

I find that funny b/c it's first night I haven't remembered any dreams in over a week and the first night after I started my dream journal.

The good thing is that I'm starting to become aware of what is happening as I fall asleep and wake up... For example, I recently woke up (I think it was a night or two ago) with the painless high-voltage electricity going through my legs, kind of like they had fallen asleep. It felt almost as though that whole part of my bed was vibrating but it went away as soon as I became fully consious.

As I was falling asleep last night though, I did have kind of an interesting thing happen.

I've lately been listening to sounds from a brain wave generator as a I sit on my computer. I have been doing some meditation with these, but not listening to them while I fall asleep. I usually do this in the afternoon. Well, last night, as I was falling asleep, I started to hear the sound of these resonant frequencies with some sort of cycle pattern to them in my own head. (I'm wondering if I was tapping into the Earth's natural background base frequency or something... go here for some more info on that: http://www.2012.com.au/SchumannResonance.html... either that, or I was becoming aware of my own natural alpha and theta waves beginning to occur... go here for more info on that: http://www.bwgen.com/theory.htm). It was multi-pitched, with one lower and one higher and kind of moved back and forth from one ear to the other. It very well could have been just been some sort echo from listening to sounds like this earlier in the day...

But basically, I started to focus on this sound I was hearing and kind of meditate on it when a few weird things happened. First, I heard the sound of a rusty screen door swing shut. Then, in my right eye, I began to see some interesting light patterns which I assume were HI. When that happened, I opened my eyes to see if a car drove by outside my window or something... but nothing... and it continued when I closed my eyes again.

Then my roommate got up and started banging around the kitchen and I had to ask him to shut up and it was gone.

I think I might post some of this on the "Beyond Dreams" thread to see if anyone has any ideas...

      Teeth and Fire Works

      Some dreams I've had recently:

1.) My teeth begin to come loose and one by one, I realize I can pull them out. Then........... false awakening... I try to check my teeth to make sure they are okay (like everyone does when they wake up from those dreams) in what I assume to be real life and they are STILL loose.

There are many intrepretations of dreams in which your teeth fall out... it is my opinion that dreams like this are nothing more than echoes of the fright of loosing teeth in the formative years between ages 5 and 7.

2.) I'm sitting in the passenger side of a car with the windows down watching this incredible fire works display. One of the fireworks fall in through the window and gets tangled in the back of my hair.

One would think that this would set my hair on fire, but it seems like I am unable to dream about fire so my hair just became a tangle of sparks.

3.) I am at what I assume to be lunch in the cafeteria with a bunch of "cool" kids from high school. They are ignoring me at first, but after beating the crap out of this one kid who was making fun of me and sticking him in a trash can, they start being really nice to me and are proud of me for doing that. Then I realize we're at this wedding party. One of the "cool" girls is the bride and completely drunk. She falls over, half under a table, and everyone just ignores. I just kind of watch to see what happens. One of the guys tries to non-chalantly help her up and she ends up smacking her face on the bottom of the table because she was under it and falls back down. He gives up and walks away.

Why is it, almost five years later, I still dream about random people from high school?????

      the death of a puppy.

Well, I'm just going to get right down to it.

In december, my boyfriend of a year and half broke up with me. A few days before he broke up with me, I had a dream from which I awoke in a panic attack. Long dream short, I was in a house and his puppy (who I love very much) was torn in half by lions. Somehow, she was still trying to walk with her two front paws, with blood and guts dragging behind her. That dream f-d up my world for days, not to mention him breaking up with me two days later. At the time, I just thought it was a seriously messed up dreams (I never, in my entire life, have had a dream like that).

Fast forward to February, we get back together. Fast forward again to April, he breaks up with me. Again. I have another dream about his puppy, but this time, she is old and pretty much decaying. Once again, I awake in a panic attack.

Finally, after much thinking, I realize that the puppy represents our relationship both in my dreams and in the real world, because we both loved her so much and took care of her. This puppy, who needed to fed and loved so she could grow, was alot like our relationship, which was dying. The puppy still lives, our relationship does not. Such is life.

      Prophetic Dreams

I have been having alot of dreams that have felt very prophetic. There is a specific one that I want to write down so that when it happens, I have proof that I had the dream about it first.

I am standing outside with someone (don't know who). It's nighttime and we are talking. I look up at the sky and see a meteor... and then hundreds of them just light up the sky. It was a HUGE meteor shower, so I tell the person I am with and we sit in there in awe watching it.

Kind of pointless, but nonetheless, it felt important.

      The Atomic Bomb.

I am standing in a building talking with some people and everyone starts screaming and looking out the window... I rush to the window just as a mushroom cloud from an atomic bomb appears over the horizon and it's shock wave begins to rush towards us. I'm starting to panic, not knowing what will happen when the shock wave arrives... it reaches us, blows away the building, but somehow, most of the people (including myself) are left standing. Around us, lava is starting to flow over the ground. I fall in it and my skin starts to bubble and crack from the burn and I am screaming from the pain. Someone tells me, "Oh, you'll be fine... Those burns will heal in 2-3 weeks"

I had way more dreams than this (as always) but this is the one that I can remember the most.

      In other news.....
I came very close to an LD last night... I remember realizing it was a dream, trying to really hard to fight all of the illogical events, and ALMOST coming out on the lucid side of the dream, but... no...

I'm going to go watch waking life.

      Weird Sex Dream

So... I'm a straight girl. A few nights ago I had a sex dream about my best friend... who is also a straight girl. Is this weird and totally abnormal?

      ugh... another one...

Had another dream last night about my ex-boyfriend. damn. this could mean one of two things: I still love him or I'm really worried about having to see him in the next few weeks.

The dream began where one of my old college professors (who was english) asked me to introduce him to a class of law students. Well, I get up at the front of the classroom, in front of about 200 people, and I look out in the crowd for him before I speak and he isn't there.... So I start totally freaking out after I had started to introduce him and just start to pretty much say random things ("lovely weather we're having") and make bad, awkward jokes. Finally he shows up and I go into this other room and sit on a couch. There is a knock at the door, so I go up to get it and my ex-boyfriend and some chick come in with only underwear on. They're trying to pull on their clothes as they walk in and they're laughing. I look at them, give a little laugh, introduce myself to the girl, and run out of the room before I burst into tears. The ex follows me and grabs my arm and starts apologizing saying he was "just kidding..."

      Whatever all that means...

      stop the insanity...

yet another dream about the ex.... i'm so sick of these...

saturday morning i dreamt that he and i were back together. we were cuddling on a couch. all of the sudden, we hear a bunch of noise outside. i go to the window and see that we are staying right on a beach. a ways down the beach, i see some frat guys that hated him ripping the car doors off his car. i start running towards them and scream "f-ing assholes! get the f--- away from his f---ing car!!" and they just leave.

when i woke up and realized it was all a dream, i began sobbing.... because i miss him

      light switch

So last night, I had the first dream ever in which I found a light switch, tried to turn on the light and it wouldn't work. It was dark in the room and I really need to see in this drawer to get something, so I began to panic and tried the light switch a bunch of times but still wouldn't work (because I was dreaming, of course).

This had never happened to me!! I have never even SEEN a light switch in my dreams before... and of course... it finally happens and it doesn't even register when it doesn't work!!!

I'm so mad!!!!! I could have gone lucid right then and there!!!

Well it seems like you have some sort of unresolved feelings towards you ex. which is probably not really that surprising. I've had those dreams too. Maybe you should talk to him... just my suggestion. Interesting about the pre-cog thing. I think i've done that too before, i once had a dream about a girl i'd never met but reminded me of two different girls that i did know. The next year when i went to college i met a girl who reminded me very much of that dream girl.... weird.
