I guess I'll kick this off with the dream I had last night. I didn't remember it right away when I awoke, but in the shower, it came back to me.
I am driving home on my lunch break. I'm about a mile away from home when I turn east at an intersection. I notice the correct gas station on the corner and the carwash behind that, but the next thing should be a day care, but it's just a house. I turn in there and park. I was having some difficulty with the breaks and the steering and my brother is suddenly standing by the front left tire of the car and asks if I can smell something. I can't, so Mike tells me that the oil pressure in my tires is too low and that's why I can't steer or break very well. I then head for the house. I have keys to this house, so I go inside and I speak to the older married couple who live there. They were expecting me. I'm there to balance their checkbook so I head for the computer and get to work. I finish the work then head for the kitchen to get my lunch and another woman who lives there, but is not related to the married couple is getting a drink. As she walks out of the kitchen, she spills her tea all over the floor. It was just a small glass of tea, but there is suddenly 3 inches of water all over the kitchen floor. I start to sop it up with a towel and my cousin, Jessica, and her 9-year-old son, Jordan show up. I don't think they should really be there, but Jordan gets out this huge towel and has the mess cleaned up right away. The mess is all cleaned up and I try to make a sandwich for my lunch when Jessica interrupts me and says that they came to me because some guys were chasing them and we head for a back room.
Time skips and I'm in the back room sitting on a bed and I make half of a peanut butter sandwich, half of a jelly sandwich, and half of some other sandwich, but I don't know what's on it. Some little kid comes into the room and says she is hungry so I give her the third sandwich. When she leaves I get off the bed and watch her go down the hallway that ran behind the wall that the head of the bed was against. When I return to the bed, the sandwiches are gone and I know they were stolen by a person.
I head outside and I see my mom and some guy running around the corner of the building and it's like a big storage building. There is a set of portable stairs beside the door I came out. My mom and the guy head up the stairs, but they get to the top and they can't reach the roof. They come back down and can't figure out why they are back on the ground. Then, the guy sees a sliding ladder attached to the stairs so they go back up the stairs, extend the ladder, scramble onto the roof and take off.
The warehouse transforms to the back of my brother and sister-in-law's house. Jessica is beside me and we watch as my nephew, Tyler, and Jessica's son, Jordan, walk out of one door and turn and go back through a sliding glass door. The boys are saying something about getting away, but they don't sound scared. As he was walking, we noticed something wrong is wrong with how Jordan is walking and Jessica asks him what's wrong with his leg. Before he can answer, he falls down and I run to his side. Somehow, his whole body is not shrunken and crammed into his shoe.
(I think this is when I start to realize it's a dream and start to think about what's going on, but I don't have complete control of the dream. I follow a story line, but I'm making decisions about the story.)
I pick up Jordan's shoe with him in it and casually ask Jessica if she wants to take him to the minor emergency clinic. We get in the car to go to the clinic and we are speeding, doing twice the speed limit. We pass a cop, but he does nothing. We turn a corner drive a half a mile and pull into the parking lot of the clinic. As we are walking up to the clinic receptionist at the desk that is outside, I keep looking for the police officer. Finally, I see him turn the corner toward the clinic with his lights on, but he then turns off the street and drives through a Homeland (grocery store) parking lot. I know he's looking for my car, but I decide I don't want to deal with it "because the oil pressure in my tire is low". So, when the officer pulls out of the parking lot, the police car has been turned into a Homeland security guard car and he drives away.
Jessica and I are checking in with the clinic receptionist and Jessica is saying that she was the one who discovered the problem and that the shrunken Jordan bit her. I know this is wrong, but I don't argue with her about it. The receptionist tells us which room to go to and we walk through the halls looking for the room. They have "Dog Medical", "Cat Medical", and "Horse Medical" sections. I tell Jessice that you would think the area for humans would be called "Hunam Medical" but instead it's called "Health Care." That's when I tell Jessica that "I sure am having a strange dream." She does not react.
We find the right place and the doctor greets up as the door. He takes Jessica and Jordan through another door and I sit in the waiting room. Then, my brother, Mike, comes in carrying flowers. He asks me if I have taken care of the oil pressure in the tires. I haven't, but I say yes. He tells me not to lie then he tells his son, my nephew, Tyler to stay with me and Mike heads through the door the doctor took Jessica and Jordan through.
Then, I woke up.
