And so it begins...My Dream Journal

The other night I had a dream. During the dream I realized I was dreaming and became really excited. Almost immediately my entire dream world began to disappear. I felt desperation as I tried to communicate with the people around me and fought in vain to stay in the dream. It was to no avail, and I woke up frustrated.
I decided to do a little research to see if there was a way to stay in the dream. I found many sites, and for now I feel this is the best for what I'm interested in. So here I am.
My first memory of Lucid Dreaming was when I was a teenager. I had a dream in which I was at my aunt’s house. I went outside and there was a police officer who gave me a Delorean sports car (back then they were very cool). Anyway I ran back in the house and told my best friend (at that time in my life) Tony. We took off up in the mountains driving fast and having a lot of fun. Suddenly I realized I was dreaming and I pulled over got out of the car and look out at the mountains. Tony asked what was going on and I told him that I was dreaming. He didn't believe me. So I said watch this. I pointed my hand at a house on the side of a mountain levitated it up several hundred feet in the air and exploded it. I don't remember much more about the dream, but then that was over 20 years ago. It's amazing though how vivid those images have stayed in my mind after all these years. I also remember having a strange wonder of whether my dream world was only in my mind or some sort universal dream world. I lean more toward the idea that it just in my mind.
My next memory of LDing was a few years later. This time I was walking down the hallway of school. Again I saw Tony. This got my attention because I hadn't seen him in several years. I pulled him aside and we went into a room. I told him I was dreaming. This time though I tried to see if I could somehow connect or communicate with him through this dream into maybe his dream, but then a strange thing happened. There was a window that drew our attention and through the window there was a beautiful angel looking at us. I seemed like it was trying to stop me from trying to connect with him. All of a sudden the angel turned into a demon and scared me awake. Strange
There have been a several more LDs that I can’t recall to well where I have levitated stuff and flew. Although I remember feeling scared of falling while flying. In most of my lucid dreams though I seem to get to excited cause I know I'm dreaming and I wake up.
For the last two nights before going to sleep I’ve told myself that I would remember my dreams. Last night I woke up, and instead of going right back to sleep I realized that I had just had a dream. I began to trace backward through the dream to help remember it which I had done years ago and reread on this site. In the dream I was working in a restaurant. Now something strange seems to have happened during that part of the dream but I can’t recall what. The next scène I go into a conference room where some guys which I think are coaches are talking about some changes there going to make or something. I don’t recall what they were talking about I just remember feeling really impressed with them. The next scène I’m walking threw a school. That’s all I remember. It wasn’t a Lucid Dream I just mentioned it because it’s part of my steps toward learning to control my dreams.
I can’t wake up and write down my dreams then because I don’t want to wake up my fiancé. So I’m writing it now. I'm going to make writing my dreams in this journal a habit so any feed back or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

      Today 7-13-06.
For the last 3 weeks or so I’ve been trying to create a lucid dream with no success. Every night before I fall asleep I repeat in my head over and over “I will have lucid dreams tonight and I will remember them all”. I've been able to remember parts of my dreams up until last night which I had an interesting experience. I believe it was the beginning of a WILD. I woke up from sleeping I usually do every night and some nights several times throughout the night. This is when I’ve been working on recalling my dream. Anyway I was having a hard time going back to sleep because I was stressed out over something going on in my life. I decided to try the 61 point relaxation technique. It seemed to take a very short period of time to get into a really cool state of mind. I watch all the images flow through my head and just tried to maintain the whole awareness thing I've read about. My awareness state seemed to fade in and out though. I felt a strange sort of vibration, that part is kind of hard to describe. Then I found myself in sort of an awake and a dream state. I knew I was in my bed, I could feel myself lying down and yet I could also see and feel myself in a stairwell. At first I got really excited and then dream faded out but then I decide to try and get it back and I was right back there. I looked up and saw an exit sign I turned away and looked back and sure enough it changed into a sort of neon sign. I decide to get up and I could feel the right side of my body float in the air which was a really cool feeling. There was also a sort of foggy state to the whole experience also then I heard something and felt like I was having trouble breathing. I got scared and decided to let the dream state go and I woke up. I realize pretty quickly that I had been woken by my own snoring. It’s funny now but at the time it was pretty scary.

      Flying

      7-14-06
Well last night when I woke up from my dreams I didn't have the energy to focus on trying WILD. I did have flying dream which is really cool on the one hand but at the same time it wasn't a Lucid Dream. Strange that I could fly and not realize I'm dreaming. I guess I still have some work to do.
