Am I Lucid Yet?

Welcome to my Dream Journal. I haven't been at this for more than a few days, but lucid dreaming is something I have always wanted to eventually master so I am very dedicated to achieving this goal. Similar to another member on here, I might be using some of these entires in the future for creative inspiration in my writing. Therefore, according to the Berne Convention and other applicable copyright agreements, please treat every work here as copyrighted unless I otherwise say so. The dates of my entries are going to reflect the date when I fell asleep not the date when I woke up and wrote them down. Also, I will signify if the dream occured during a nap, but not during regular sleep. If nothing else is written it can be assumed that it occured during regular sleep. 9/30/06 - Nap Specifc Sleep Supplements Taken: 100mg Vitamin B6, 5mg Melatonin Other Details: Decided to take a nap. Used some classical music and a very quiet alarm to wake me up periodically to help with dream recall. Blue Crush Waterfall A green minivan was driving along a street in what appeared to be Colorado or Utah. I say this because I recently went there on a road trip over the summer, but also because of just how the scenery looked. I was talking on a phone to someone and was joking around by acting desperate to be his friend. I remember saying best friend often in an overly desperate manner. There were times in which the person whom I was talking to wouldn't say anything because I remember seeing a close up view of the phone and looking to see if I was still connected. I also remember seeing the time on the phone of how long it lasted. The backlight on the phone was orange I believe. I was going to turn onto the highway and was edging towards it in preparation of my turn. My memory seems to skip to me being on the highway with a rock formation blocking the road; however, there was a waterfall that took up most of this rock formation and I couldn't see past the water. It wasn't water as it was such an unnatural blue color, almost like a sports drink, but I was headed straight for it. I heard a scream as I and at least one other car went through the waterfall. I ended up in a white water slide that was enclosed all around me except for in front where I assume I would slide down. The thing is the same entire car was on this slide.

9/30/06 Specifc Sleep Supplements Taken: 5mg Melatonin Other Details: Regular sleep. Woke up in the middle of the night for this one. Smiling Woman A middle-aged woman was giving me a very strange smile. The image was a close-up of only her face. There was also a website about movie reviews. There was a link about a review for some movie being released 10/7/2006. Maybe the woman was the reviewer in question or maybe she wasn't. I am not quite sure. I am also not 100 percent sure that is when this movie was to be released, but I do remember that being the date of the link.

9/30/06 Specifc Sleep Supplements Taken: 5mg Melatonin Other Details: Regular sleep. The last dream I remember from the night. Also, woke up for this one but it was pretty close to the end of my sleep for the night. Saved by the Bell The setting and characters are of Saved by the Bell; however, at different times the setting was similar but I am pretty sure was a little different than what I remember from the television show. The scene begins with a an even dispersement of people in the room and it appears that people are exchanging rings of some sort as an invitation to a dance. This dream centers on AC Slater, Zack Morris, and Kelly Kapowski. Unfortunately, Samuel "Screech" Powers was nowhere to be found. Kelly seems to be talking about how she can't find her ring and Zack is telling her to stop acting like she lost it so someone will ask her to the dance. She insists that she must have left it somewhere so AC leaves to go try to find it downstairs. Zack takes advantage of this golden opportunity to ask Kelly himself if she wants to go to the dance with him. She accepts and AC comes back only to find out what has happened. The last thing I remember is that Zack either ran or hid from somewhere in the room from an angry AC.

10/1/06 Specifc Sleep Supplements Taken: None Other Details: My WILD attempt. Failed WILD Attempt I set my alarm to wake five hours after I went to bed and I was able to get up. Unfortunately, I must have been too tired as I eventually just went to sleep too soon apparently. I do not remember ever falling asleep but I obviously must have. I woke up about forty-five minutes later to try the FILD technique but that wasn't seeming to be working either as then I could get very relaxed but not fall asleep. So, I abandoned everything and just went to sleep for the night. No dreams were remembered.

10/2/06 Specifc Sleep Supplements Taken: None. Other Details: Power was out so I am not sure when I went to sleep and when I woke up to remember this memory. There was another dream that I remembered but I forgot it pretty fast. It seems I have a lot of dreams that are just on the tip of my tongue as they say. The Sawdust Chronicles This was by far a very strange dream. It involved random people from my high school. It started off with people doing manual labor in a very systematic fashion. Seemed like they were hitting logs or wooden platforms so I threw stuff onto whatever they were systematically hitting. Was it sawdust or was it something that was bigger? I have no clue only a vague memory. One of my former Spanish classmates was holding some sort of a sign. Also, over in another area there was a guy who seemed to possibly be chopping wood. All of a sudden it was some sort of game going on outside with a bunch of people. Not sure if they were the same people or not. It felt as if I was going to get out by getting the ball thrown at me by one of my highschool classmates. Was this some sort of dodgeball? So, I asked the girl to throw the ball to me as if I was one of her teammates. She mistakenly did and I wasn't her teammate. Everyone made a loud yell of laughter and excitment as my trickery paid off. I then ran to one of the scattered bases, the ones in physical education class which were basically dusty pieces of thin rubber in the shape of bases. There were way too many scattered bases for this to be even remotely similar to any game I have every played. This was a really weird one.

10/3/06 Specifc Sleep Supplements Taken: None. Other Details: Once again the power was out. Getting weird now having to always go to the library to use the internet and reading by flashlight from eight onward. I do seem to wake up from my dreams often then go back to bed and continue the same dream. I know I have done that several times and I have tried to remind myself that it is a dream so I can become lucid, but to no avail. Curious Yet Friendly Strangers Lost a little bit of the memory of this dream before I could write it all down. I am outside talking to this group of people. It is apparent that I am the new one in the group. Suddenly, I am inside talking to them again. We seem to be in some sort of fancy room. Seems like a hotel area reserved for guests. It is a small room with open doors to a public hallway. Maybe a meeting room of some sort. Anyways, everyone wants to go to some hotel but they can't decide. So they ask me. I realize being a part of this group is a short lived thing. I think I had just met them travelling and was soon going to leave so was confused why they wanted my opinion so much. I told them this. That is pretty much all I remember of this one.
