Adventures in Dreamfollowing

I've kept a dream journal for ages but I thought I'd start one here. I usually remember at least one dream a night, and they're usually pretty bizarre. I am on a quest (like all of us, right?) to attain longer, more frequent lucid dreams. feel free to read and comment! Hiding Out. I am in some kind of prison complex, and I'm going to escape. I'm walking down hallways and I discover J (my husband) is following me. I go down a long hallway with a toilet at the end. J asks what I'm doing, this is the men's restroom. I say I'm going to hide in here. the wall behind the toilet is open to the outdoors and we go through. there are rows of small buildings that are bathrooms and a tall fence all around. I run over to one, the two of us are trying to get to the same one first. we both go into one building. It is empty and we talk about how we will have to hide our stuff so that no one will know we're there. and we'll only come out at night. we go into a room there that is a library. I think, great, if I have to hide out in a bathroom, at least we have access to a library! we hear people coming and hide behind shelves. I am looking out trying to see who's out there. a man and a woman(someone I know?) are there. the shelf I'm behind starts to wobble and falls on him. the woman motions for us to hide. I get behind a desk and cover up with a quilt back there. J is there but has turned into a girl I used to know. we keep down. a bunch of women come in and sit down to eat lunch. we hide for awhile then realize they know we're there and don't know we don't belong here.

Early in the night, I remember images of gardening, and being lucid? Not much. I should have woke up more after this so I'd remember more. Sting Concert Later J and I are watching a Sting concert. (we're at the concert, but not. I have a lot of dreams where I'm somewhere watching what's going on around me, but it's more like I'm watching a movie or something.) He is on stage facing the audience behind a huge glass panel. He starts writing words backwards on the glass so the audience can read them. He skips around drawing different parts of the letters and then forming the whole word. I think one of the words he writes is innovation. I say, I really want to go to a Sting concert some day. We leave and find a table of snack food and desserts. We are both stuffed from eating earlier but we start grabbing stuff anyway. There is a pie thing made with sushi that is really good. I also grab some sugar cookies. I go into another room and ellen and rebecca are there showing people these black books of stickers they bought to share for their kids. Rebecca refers to her husband as ex, she's divorced him. I think, well she's young enough, she could have more kids with another guy.

Painting in the snow. I am at my mom and dads house in the front room looking out the window, it is snowing. I am painting. then I am outside in the front yard at a table painting. I am working on a tiny dollhouse I made. a kid who is the younger brother of Danny, a boy I went to school with, comes around and starts bugging me and being a jerk. he grabs a little doll from my house and throws it. I grab him and shove his face in the snow, yelling that he better get out of here or I'll call his mom. then I throw him aside. he runs off snickering. I get my doll and sit down again but it's raining so I go inside. I am looking down at the driveway from the second floor. I see a girl drive up in a limosine and park it in the garage. she then steals my mom and dads car and drives off. I find my dad and we go out there. she has hooked up their other car to a crusty truck like it's stealing gas or something, so that if the cops come it will look like my dad should be in trouble.

I had another WILD this morning! It was crazy, like some other force in my head kept interrupting what I wanted to dream about. This morning I woke up when it got light, but instead of getting up, I just lay in bed thinking about lucid dreams. I was sort of slipping in and out of sleep, random music kept playing loudly in my head. at first it was a drum beat. as I fell asleep, I was thinking of standing in a forest at nighttime with J, moonlight shining down on us. I immediately was dreaming and knew it, but instead of my forest, I was standing in a big plowed field. I could see the forest at the other side, so I started walking towards it. then I thought, I'm dreaming, I can fly over there. I started floating that way but it was more like the force was carrying me, flipping me over upside down and causing my vision to blur. I tryed shouting "clear sight!" a few times in my head like I've read but it didn't work. then it dropped me on the ground about 100 feet from the forest. I stood up and walked to the edge and a door appeared there. I went through the door and was in a square, green room with a door in two opposite walls and a bathtub at the other two walls. through the other door I could see an entry way painted light blue, the paint was cracking. people were in there talking. I thought, this isn't right, I need to get to my forest. the man there called to me saying hey there's someone at the door for you so I went to the door and took J by the hand to go to the forest. everything got dark but I could feel leaves around me. finally I saw the moonlight shining down up ahead but then I started hearing loud music in my head again. it started out slow and romantic then Cat Stevens' "Cant keep it in" started really loudly. then I woke up.

this is from saturday nite... I dreamt J and my mom went together and bought me a little mermaid statue. it was her, sitting on this big dragon head and the whole thing was supposed to be mounted on the wall. ariel was removable and I was looking at her, she was sort of a little kid version and the paint was faded. even in the dream I thought it was kinda weird. later, I was at some sort of church service but they were having a performance by some tribal dancers, three huge hawaiian looking guys were in front playing drums and chanting. there were painted dancers in the back with native costumes and headdresses. I went out into the hallway and jennifer aniston was there interviewing one of the dancers. she had that same sort of worried look on her face she always has. the dancer was a man, he had a thick accent of some kind and was hard to understand. Jennifer kept asking him stupid questions more like jokes and making fun of the fact that he was hard to understand.

from Saturday: floating pyramids. I am standing in a row with some other people outside under some kind of awning. it has been snowing and my feet are bare. I realize I'm dreaming and try to will shoes onto my feet. it doesn't work but my feet aren't cold anyway so I forget. there is water in front of me and floating in it are some aztec style pyramids made of cinder blocks, about 4 feet across. I jump across and land on one. each level has plastic doll parts inset in it, one has arms and legs, the next, heads. the very top level has grass planted on it. I vaguely wonder how cinder blocks are floating. I jump back across the water and land next to J, who looks like magnum PI. we make out, then we are at some sort of motel, on the second floor balcony. gypsy (my dog) is with us and she gets loose and runs away, but comes back later on her own.

this is my longest lucid yet! It's starts with me in a bathroom. there is no door and the walls on either side are low, and people are on the other side. a guy starts talking to me and I feel really uncomfortable obviously, so I pull up my pants and leave. when I walk out in the hallway I realize I'm dreaming (bathrooms are a common dream sign) and I see a more secluded bathroom but instead I go into an office type room with some plants and flowers sitting around. I try to remain calm and just observe everything around me. I look at my hands closely and smell some of the flowers (they don't smell much, like most store bought flowers) I go outside and to one side is a parking lot and cars driving by. to the other side is a field with grass and trees. I head toward the trees. the grass is long and it is windy. on a brick wall of a building is a note. I think oh, I can read this and see if it changes! so I read it. It is a handwritten letter on old parchment to someone named selina. I blink and the writing gets smaller. I blink again and it gets larger and the words are different. I walk away, all the time saying to myself, this is a dream. I'm not trying to change anything, just stay lucid and stay dreaming. I think, I should find J though. I come to a really tall, like 50 foot, slide. I walk around the side and see someone on a bike riding down it very slowly. he gets to the bottom and I see it is Tom Seleck. ( I dreamt about him a few nights ago and then saw him on the Daily show. ) He waves to me and says to try out the slide. I start climbing the long ladder, this part sort of fades, like Im imagining it. when I get to the top I feel a little dizzy cause it's so high. I go down and land in the grass next to Tom but now it's J. I say I was hoping I'd find you. we walk to some other tall slides nearby, these are all twisty and wrapping around themselves. other people are here. we decide to climb one to the top. we go up the slide part. J goes ahead of me and I get to a part where I can't get to the next level. I think, well Im dreaming, if I fall, I can just fly to the top. It starts raining and I can feel it on my face. I wonder, wow that's very real, I wonder if my face is wet in real life. then it starts to go black and I wake up. I feel my face and it is wet. I think I was still dreaming at that point though. I go back to sleep and don't know I'm dreaming. I am at my aunt and uncles house only it doesn't look like it and no one looks like themselves in real life. they have about 13 kids instead of 5. we are all in the kitchen and I decide to make a cup of tea. I look in a cupboard and find a tea bag that's plastic with tiny holes in it. I also find a small glass that's supposed to be a measuring cup. my grandma is boiling water in a coffee machine so I ask her if I can have some before she adds the coffee. she puts a siphoning tube into the water and sucks on it. it starts running out and she puts some in my cup. I go to sit at the table but the only chair left is one where my aunt usually sits. she is gone so I sit there. I notice one leg of the table is cut off short and balancing on my chair. I try to sit without disturbing it but I move too much and the table starts to fall apart. everyone grabs it and we get the leg back on the chair again.

I'm in the army I am a guy in army training. I am one of the only ones left, all the other guys who started with me have dropped out cause it was too hard. An officer tells me to go through this tunnel and points at a red plastic cylinder nearby. I go crawl in and a little ways in is a tunnel going down through the floor with a ladder. I start going down, it is a tight squeeze. I think, I guess this type of thing is what those other guys who left didn't want to do. I drop out the bottom and Im in a hotel lobby near some stairs. a man on the stairs gives me a funny look. then a girl with long dark hair in a hawaiian shirt and skirt comes and says Im here to take you to lunch. we go outside and walk a few blocks but end up back in the hotel restaurant which is a seafood place. kitten food later, I am at my aunt's house again, it is a big square room with a large separate room in the center that is their bedroom. all around the edge thinner rooms are all connected. I go to the door and it is night time or early morning and raining. I call for my kitten to come in and several cats come in. my kitten (a small white and black one) comes and jumps into my arms. I start looking for some cat food for them. I check several cupboards but none of them have cat food. I look into the bedroom and it's dark in there. I try to turn on the light but is a very dim spotlight. someone says, they're sleeping in there so I keep looking for food. the kitten is still in my arms. then I come around a corner and my aunt is there with a small white cupboard on wheels where the cat food is.

bus from work. I am on a bus riding home from work. I feel down the side of the seat and there are black buttons stuck there. I start pulling them out. they are all different shapes. one of them is a rock shape and has a quote about a rock from someone famous. a girl in front of me (jill?) turns around and starts talking about a garth brooks song where a guy hits a rock driving in his car and dies in a crash. she starts singing it and I realize I know most of the words so I start singing along. by then I have a handful of buttons from the seat and I put them in my bag. I get home only it's more like an office building. all the rooms are dark. I start looking for J and calling him. he is in a back room/ closet going through all his clothes. He has a big pile to get rid of and only like 10 shirts still on the rack. I say are you sure you want to get rid of all these? he thinks they don't fit but hasn't tried any on. I get him to try some on and he decides to keep a light green large plaid one and one with orange watercolor leaves and a bicycle on it. later, I dream that I have to go to J's work to help them all with some project. I'm supposed to be at my real job but they beg me to stay. so I try to figure out some cover design theyre doing and D has emailed some copy he made in photoshop to put on it. then Jand I are walking home but we're in CG. J is really short, like a dwarf, and I make him taller, but I'm not really lucid.

herding beetles I am in some kind of science class and we are outside near a forest. we're trying to herd thousands of beetles off of this road into the grass. the beetles are about nickel size. some larger snake like bugs are trying to eat them, but they won't follow them into the grass. I have a rake and I'm trying to scoop the beetles off into the grass and towards the woods. nearby is a log where the beetles hibernate. I start removing layers othe the log until I get to a soft wet layer. I can see movement under neath. I see a shorter route to the forest from where I am and say to a woman nearby, we should herd these right over this path instead of the long way around to where the others were. she tells the teacher this and he gets upset. he says this side of the road is a nature preserve and that side is new york. he is adament on doing it a certain way so we agree with him.

mom kidnapped. I am in a large sanctuary of some church with calli, a girl I work with. a republican guy comes and asks us to take a survey. wendy t. is also there. we answer some of the questions, one states that breast implants are made of 50% latex, in my dream this was poisonous. he says to just skip that one and laughs. afterwards, wendy says she answered that one. we can't believe that they know this and don't want to tell anyone. I say well if it did get out, either 1. people wouldn't know it was bad, 2. they wouldn't care, or 3. it would make the republicans look bad. I try to find where we were sitting and find my stuff. I go outside and look for my car. I am carrying a bunch of stuff and start dropping some of it. I stop on a grassy island and start shoving it into my bag. it doesn't all fit. a car pulls up right next to me. I pick everything up and walk off. then I am at my mom's apartment. (?) I think, she should be along right behind me. I have her purse. then I see her come up to the screen door. two scuzzy looking men grab her. at first I think they will leave her alone but then they start taking her away. I get really scared. I grab my moms cell phone and it has no numbers on it. I start pushing random buttons. a woman answers, I say is this 911? she says yes. I start telling her my mom is being kidnapped and then realize it's not really 911. I find my phone which opens sideways and has a whole keyboard inside. I dial 911. while it's ringing, I look outside and see the men driving off. they back up right to the door and pause so I look at the license plate. it is 49111S or something like that. I keep repeating it so I'll remember. then I notice the car is black with blue and red angled stripes. I wake up before I talk to anyone.

I had a weird amalgam of dreams at first. I was in the mall I go to in my dreams. then we're in this mansion type place and there's a story line where a guy throws himself off a balcony and his boy apprentice does the same because he respected him so much. later, J and I are at some park or convention and I go to use the restroom. a bunch of women are in lines, it's like a ride. we all sit in a row and the seats move together on these tracks. then doors close in front of you and you're supposed to go. I can't, I just wait for it to go back and get off. narnia later I dreamt of narnia over and over. at times I was in Narnia, other times I was one of the actors in the movie, other times I was watching it on tv. this was first. there was a big crowd around the 4 kids, they were all older looking and were being asked questions. they were saying lucy is the best, she makes the movie! and that susan was wanting to leave but not to worry she has several brothers at home to take her place. (?) then I guess I am the girl who plays lucy. I am in a basement with edmund where we are going to open shops to sell stuff. edmund has several face peircings. his face looks very young, like 3 or 4. his shop is going to sell body jewelry. later the jewelry is gone and we are older. I am more myself now. we are lying on a couch together. I think, I should kiss him, I want to and this is just a dream. he is more like J now. when I realized it was a dream I remember looking around and noticing the texture on the walls. Jand I start kissing. I open my eyes and see J lying next to me in bed. I think I'm awake now, but he has a book sitting on his face so I was still dreaming. I go back into the dream, Im not lucid anymore. now I'm lucy in narnia. Im holding hands with edmund, we're wearing fur coats. we come around a bend and see the ocean and cair paravel which looks like a mansion. nearby is the stone table where we realize a war is going on. we start to run towards a nearby forest, we're being chased by warriors. an old reddish truck starts coming after us. I think, they don't have trucks here, how can that be? we get to a path in the forest and these large ape men in overalls come out and beckon us to follow them. we know them, they've come to save us. I call one momo. then I woke up.

going hiking we are at sarah and adams house and are packing up stuff to go hiking. we have a huge truck load more like we're moving. I show sarah some handmade dolls I have, two are not very good, I made them. the other is much better, made by someone else. there is also a large paper/fabric doll I made. adam packs it in the truck and I tell him we didn't need it. I get in the truck with adam Im sitting on the wrong side. he is driving through a wet road in a forest kind of recklessly. I think, he's a crazy driver but he's never been in a wreck. he says earlier I drove this road and it was icy, now I can go faster. convention I am at some kind of convention with some of my coworkers. I am writing on a large orange paper an announcement to come to our booth. I run out of space so I use a smaller white one for the rest. I don't know what it said. I remember writing the last bit up the side cause I ran out of space. stephanie comes in with her baby who says something retortful. she calls her a diaper head. I take my sign to jenny and heathers table who are supposed to be giving the announcement. jenny is selling small prints of photos and heather has beads. I give her the white paper and leave to go find the orange one but I can't find it in the stacks of big orange posters. by that time tons of people are there.

I am in a house where I apparently live with my parents. I am feeding two cats. one is the one next door. I look out a glass door and see a coyote sniffing around. I worry about my dogs outside and try to think whether it could get to them. I go to the door and let them in. there seems to have been a part where the coyote is chasing one of the cats but she gets away. I go back to the glass sliding door and look at the coyote. I try to lock it. I bang on the glass to try and scare it away. I realize it's wearing overalls. it's mother wearing a dress comes out of the house next door and brings him in. I call to J to come look. when I look back they are inside with the lights off. when I feel all the animals are safe I go to lock a different door, it is a large wooden one like at my parents house. I fumble with the chain latch and a tiny key , realize I'm dreaming and shout at the door, "lock!" I still know I'm dreaming but go over to my parents sitting on the couch and try and tell them about the werewolves I saw outside.

starsky and hutch I am somewhere with starsky and hutch, J is starsky, we're getting ready to go somewhere. an annoying woman and her husband come over. they think we're they're friends but we don't like them. the man grabs my butt and I grab his hand and remove it with my fingernails. the woman doesnt seem to notice or care what a jerk he is. then I'm in a car with hutch in the back, starsky, J, is driving. hutch and I are talking about the guy and I'm saying he makes me want to kick him in the ass. then we're talking to the lady and she says we should come on a trip somewhere with them. J says, you should come to panama with us next year and I think ugh why did he have to invite them. we're on a porch, there is a find the hidden pictures poster there with cupie dolls on it. s & h collect these. I write hi cutie on this one for them to find. then I am driving a truck, I get to the comic store. it is two stories and packed with people.I don't know why I'm there without J. I see clint and he comes running toward me and gives me a big hug. we start walking around talking. I see the comic store owner and don't want him to see me so I duck down. he has gotten a perm in the back. we're standing on a sort of balcony and clint is telling me he and some friends are going to alabama, then vermont to ski. I leave in the truck, notice a bag I left in the seat is still there. then I'm walking along a road, realize it's a dream and fly up into the sky. It fades out shortly.

art show/ book store In one dream I am in some big ware house with rooms. J is calling me and mrs. b is with me. we find him in one room where my artwork is hung on the walls. several people are there and he is telling them about my work. J is very tall, wearing heels and dressed like a woman in a black curly wig. another dream we go to a comic store and heidi and tom from mpc are working there. h seems really nice, I want to talk to her about seeing her online but I don't we look around and they have tons of old books for 70% off. I find one about disney animation that is really rare but it doesn't seem that cool and some of the pages are missing. I pick up a smaller one that has better pictures and stuff. it costs $60 but I figure with 70% off it will be pretty cheap. I go to buy it and it is $6.

early (saturday) night I dreamt about a giant cat dragon in a gym or a big pool. I wish I could remember more of that. tornado I am in a truck with a guy I work with and we see a dark sky ahead. a funnel cloud touches down nearby and it gets really windy and dark. I can't see anything but some headlights ahead but I feel the truck being blown off the road. then we are in a building and I'm putting on tennis shoes.

kids I am at a house with J and my cousins. we're sitting at a table in the front yard talking about why we don't want kids. they are supporting us. H is saying how she would like a job as a creative manager and I tell her she would love it where I work. then J and I drive to where J and A live to pick up them and their kids. it is crazy and hectic and I get out of the car to walk home. we are in CG and my house is nearby. I'm carrying an armful of round tins and stuff which I almost drop. I get home and construction workers are there. I go in the front door which is open. I tell them they're letting flies in. we sit on the floor awhile, my dad is walking around naked. later I am in a gym PE class or something. someone is telling me I suck at whatever we're doing. I get upset and leave. in the locker room I am looking for #18 where my stuff is. I can't get any of the #18s open. a lady helps me. then I remember I was going to buy rich a pop since it's his birthday.

staying with mom and dad first I am getting ready to eat, I'm going to sit down at a table. some girls I work with and s and l from my HS are there, sort of crowding the table where my plate was. I say excuse me can I get to my plate please and they move for me. I sit down and they start talking about girl stuff. someone says if you had one wish what would it be. everyone says things about their kids or wanting kids. S says to me, what are you going to be when you grow up? I say I haven't decided yet. I say, I want to live in a little house on the ocean one day. I feel uncomfortable and out of place. then J and I are staying with my parents, it is christmas time. I have gotten up and am looking for a bathroom to get dressed but they are full. I go into a large closet. I start thinking about how I always get depressed when we visit them. like I've left the person I used to be there and I have to go visit that person. J and I are getting ready to leave. we're saying goodbys and then we're driving around town with my parents. we pass a house with #6s all over it and a sign that says I love the beast. we kind of laugh, I say well ironically he still celebrates christmas, he has lights up. we stop at a house, my uncle's van is there too. we get out, some people are having a cookout or something. a group of kids are doing a song and dance about chewing tobacco. J thinks it's funny.

earthquake I am somewhere with Js family, my neice is sitting on my lap. J starts playing a computer game and H wants to play too so we go to a computer. it starts out small but soon takes up a whole wall. the object is to match batman characters at the top to their homes or surroundings at the bottom. several other people come in to play and it becomes more like real statues instead of a game. we're all sitting on the floor in front of the screen and the whole building moves like it's tilting backwards. we go outside and no one is around, we are in a city in California. I think I bet it was an earthquake. a small house nearby has a fenced yard that has been broken. 2 baby lions come out and some horses. 4 wolves are sniffing around and the animals leave. we all go walking down a street but we can't find anyone. the people Im with decide we should get in our cars and drive back home. there are like 8 of us, we get in 2 cars. we drive across a flooded bridge and the sky looks really cloudy with weird lights. we have the radio on but they don't say anything about what happened.

saturday: closet. I am staying with someone who reminds me of my cousin. I'm staying in a large room with only a bed and about 6 big closets. most of them are full of old clothes. the girl comes in and tells me about how she's getting married soon and her dad who is kind of crazy has been taking clothes out of her closet and hiding them, thinking she won't be able to move out if she can't find all of her clothes. to keep him from stealing my clothes we put them in the back of one of the full closets. last night, photo. I am at work and J is there too. there is a large bulliten/chalk board in the hall with notes and stuff tacked up. there is a picture there of a man and a woman sitting at a cafe counter in a city. they are both looking depressed. I start writing some captions around the photo, making up a story about them. I don't remember what it said but it was short and kind of artsy and poetic. J starts adding to it too. we talk about how it's a good writing exercise and we should find more photos to write to. I notice J has written a cuss word there and think I should change that or people will be offended.

getting ready. J and I are getting ready to go to church, I'm trying to find something to wear. his parents show up to pick us up. we are kind of rushing around, at one point I look in the mirror and notice my bangs are all frizzy so I straighten them. we end up not going because we are too late. treasure. I am with some archeologists and we're in an underground tunnel system looking for treasure. one man goes ahead and finds it through the maze. he has a gun and starts firing it so the rest of us follow the sound and find him. it is a large room full of gold, pottery, clothing and antique store type stuff. I start walking around looking at stuff. I pass mirrors occasionally and notice when I look in them, I see someone else, overweight women with curly hair, kind of old fashioned looking. some of the others are freaked out by it but I think it's funny. I find a rack of old cloths, one dress is an old dance hall girl dress with a lace up bodice. I get really excited and scream as I take it off the rack. marsha. I am sitting on a gravel area with a lady I work with, marsha. she is quizzing me from a book. one question she asks is what year ki adi mundi from star wars came into being. I thought I remembered him from phantom menace so I count back the years in my head and say 1999. she says no 2001. a woman and several kids show up and start crawling all over her. she leaves at one point and I notice some small trees growing up a nearby fence. their roots are sticking out and the are dead. I can grab the roots and turn them side to side. later I go across the fence and there is a large feild of rolling grassy hills. they have put a person on each hill to sit and relax. one near me has a large hole in it and two hands come out. I think, it would be nice to lie in those hands, like they're God's hands. so I go over and they split into two and one is black. I lie down and they pull me under ground and start touching me all over. then it is J touching me.

law office. I am sitting on a couch in a law office. behind me a man and woman are filling out paperwork and talking about her case. He mentions the legal term for it which I'm not sure of so I look it up on a computer. it brings up a scan of a legal document. I start reading it but then I see images of what she did, she was basically a scam artist and tried to sell beauty products to these three little girls. she was very nice and admitted the whole thing, making sure the girls weren't in any trouble. then it's like a church lobby or something, lots of people start coming out of a room and leaving. S from my HS is there and I'm waiting for her. she's talking to someone. finally she's done and we leave together. we start running, she is running normally but I feel like I'm going in slow motion, but my steps are very long so I'm staying ahead. I'm also using my hands to propel myself as well. we're jogging down a street where several new gated communities have been built. they are all color coded. this is something the conservative government has cooked up, only conservatives are allowed to live there. dog fence. I am in the back yard and notice some of the boards in the fence are broken and there is space enough for the dogs to get through. they run through one space but come back when I call. I think I guess they just stay in the yard most of the time on their own. then it is dark out and my parents are there. I notice the dogs are gone so I start calling them. they come back, also the cat from next door is there. I try to put the boards back in place and then take the dogs in to feed them. we go around to the front. inside our house doesn't look the same. on tv is 20/20 or something, they are doing a story on my cousins touring group only it is a singing group. they interview the conductor who is flamboyently gay.

I don't remember much of my dreams last night, but this morning I had several false awakenings. each time I felt really tired, like I couldn't keep my eyes open. each time I was lying in bed looking around my room and noticed some things were strange. J talked to me a few times and I heard music. at one point I realized I couldn't move. I tried lifting my arms over my head, I felt them raise but couldn't see them. I realized it was a dream and tried to float out of my body. I felt a sort of vibration and my eyes fluttered. at one point I felt like I was rolling off onto the floor but then snapped back. then I woke up for real.

saturday: first I dreamt that I was keeping my friend E's pet bird. he was flying around free and I was trying to catch him and put him in a cage. there is a room with lots of birds in cages. several of them are out and I'm trying to put them all away. I catch a small purple bird and it breaks it's foot trying to get away. later, I am in a church, the sanctuary is huge, the ceiling is like 100 ft high. I keep trying to leave but every door I go through takes me back to the sanctuary. then I realize I'm dreaming and immediately fly up towards the ceiling. I grab some people and pull them up then drop them. they're not hurt. I see J, but he is a drawing. then he turns into a little kid. I grab him and try to stretch him out to be the right size, pulling on his arms and legs. later, I am with some people I work with talking about how topher grace is going to be on the new spiderman. we sit down to wait for a class to begin. somehow I get dirt splattered on my face so I leave to wash it off. I go in a bathroom which is a large room with long tables and chairs set up. mr a is there teaching the class we're supposed to be in. I tell him we didn't know it was here.
