So this will be my first ever Dream Journal, which I think its quite exciting in itself!
I have a blog (see sig) that I will keep updated too but I have a pen and pad by my bed for as soon as I wake up. When I woke up this morning I forgot to try and remember my dream from the night but then I ended up accidentally falling asleep this afternoon and I remembered one of the dreams, which I'll post at the end of this.
Key:
Normal dreams
Lucid dreams (when I finally get there!)
Dream themes
Dream comments
OK, first dream I remember so far:
Saturday June 21st 2008
I was travelling/on holiday in Turkey with my 3 best friends from school: H, M and K.
There was a skinny black guy that people were crowding round in the street. I later recognized him as the guy ('Tunde') from the worst movie in the world that I saw recently: Phat Girlz. He was hunched over and looked scared. I pushed my way to the front to see what was going on. People were trying to talk to him to see where he'd come from.
I suddenly started chatting to him in French. Suddenly it was just me and him and we were literally just having a normal conversation. I remember saying to him (in French) that Turkey is a beautiful country and I wish I could stay longer to see more. And he asked why I couldn't stay longer and I said "pas de l'argent", which actually means "no money", and he shrugged and said that's not a real excuse. Before I could ask him why, the next thing I know - we're back in the street and he's gone.
Everyone was asking me where we went and what he said and where he's gone now, but I wouldn't tell them anything because I didn't think they would understand. What would they not understand?.
Back at the hotel, I was telling my friends what happened when I got to the centre of the crowds and we were all remarking on the fact that none of us knew I could speak French fluently... and then I woke up.
Dream Themes
crowds, disappearances, friends, languages, travel
I'm thinking I might have been close to realising I was dreaming? Because I certainly don't speak French fluently!! But at the same time I don't know how I could've remembered "pas de l'argent" from when I last learned French in school for my GCSEs, which was 5 years ago!
Weird...
edit: to the regular Dream Journalers - do you have anything to recomment to me? =)
