Well, I'm new here, but I'd like to start my dream journal as soon as possible.
[6/28/08: Epic dream of swords, flying and lunar waterparks]
It begins with me at home, on the computer, when I go outside. I see a man standing outside with a few others. He's tall, black, wearing dark clothes and a black trenchcoat, but despite his grim appearance, I'm not bothered by his looks, as he is carrying a sword. Him and his friends turn to me, when I am thrown a sword that resembles my practice sword in RL, but the event doesn't trigger lucidity. We get in fighting position, and though the man appears to be an expert swordsman, I do maneuvers that I can't do in RL and defeat him. It's only a practice fight though, not a duel. He rewards me by sending me to wal-mart to buy some new Legend of Zelda game.
I'm in wal-mart with my sister when I find the game, and am relieved to find that they have the game on Xbox. I also see that wal-mart carries a wide selection of swords and practice swords. I don't have time to peruse the selection.
My memory of the dream is blank until I find myself flying through the air. I am flying alongside a girl I know from school in RL, and we are both chasing a falling girl. The girl is black, but I cannot spot anything notable about her. Another blank spot in my memory of the dream, and I find myself in the backseat of a car, looking at a picture taken of me and my friend flying after this falling girl. I cannot tell if we ever caught her or not, but I hope we did.
Another blank area. I am now in a waterpark with hundreds of friends and kids from school. I am holding onto a false palm tree for dear life, feeling nauseous, when a friend says "no, we aren't somewhere else". I fight the nausea to look up to see the moon, when instead I see a distant Earth. I quickly look back down, shuddering and shaking. Then the waterpark begins to distort in view, until we are all sent flying towards earth, which has somehow transformed into a rectangular desert. We all crash, and shortly afterwards, I am told that "only six survived". I somehow know that they mean we were the last six humans alive. One more blank memory again, and I'm back in the waterpark as it was, but there's more people, and it more closely resembles the one in my city.
Everything jumps forward to me and an old friend from middle school sitting at a computer, researching a topic for some assignment he's doing, when he tells me it's on "those who fly". I look at him and smile to myself, seeing a flash of the picture of us three flying. The dream ends with us watching a black and white powerpoint, and the last thing I see is the picture. Me, and this girl flying after this falling black girl.
A long, long dream, but I've had much longer, much stranger, and much more prophetic. I may post old dreams in the respective forums later.
