I recently discovered that I have Isolated Sleep Paralysis Disorder and I researched it and came about the knowledge of lucid dreaming. I want to learn how to become lucid in my dreams. I have had lucid dreams in the past, but I want to learn how to do it at will. This will begin my dream log. Goals for Lucid Dreams: 1. Use Powers (Blue: Achieved once or twice, Red: Achieved often) -Fly -Create things from air -Create Fire -Create Ice -Create Lightning -Change things/people -Laser Vision -Leave my body and possess another one -Phase through things such as walls and doors -Control Sand and Water the way Imhotep does in the Mummy movies -Transform into animals like the Dragon Emperor -Control Time like Neo in the Matrix 2. Discover signs in my dreams and list them here. -I think that the second part of the Dream on Dec 4, 2008 means something to me. I used to be in the Navy, so I saw a man I knew to have retired from the Navy as a Chief. I also want to be a good father in the future, so I am being watched by the retired Chief while I am playing with my son. I grew up around this man and saw him be a good father to his children. So I guess it is a sign that I have nothing to worry about... hopefully. 3. Discover common patterns and list them here. -Mississippi Location (where I grew up) -Classrooms 4. Ask people who they are and why they are there. 5. Play a huge concert with a band. 6. Learn more about myself. 7. Stimulate my creativity and focus it into art during my waking life. I hope this will help me achieve skillful lucidity.

I kept a journal a while back but was not consistent. I am going to become consistent from now on. Anyway, this is some things I dreamed a long time ago. I was not lucid. I do not know the dates =(. The colors are to easily distinguish between the dreams. Purple signifies lucidity. 1. I am standing in a field in Mississippi near where I grew up. My wife is with me, and we are staring at the street. Suddenly a team of gnomes attack us. I smirk, somehow knowing I have amazing abilities. I tell my wife to stand behind me; she does so curiously. As the horde of gnomes advance, I focus my energy into the area around my hands. I stretch my arms out like I am shooting a bow and arrow. Amazingly, a bow materializes and I begin firing upon the gnomes, killing them off. I soon realize that I cannot defeat them alone, so I create a mud gollem. I direct the gollem at the gnomes and he smashes all of them. I smile, and suddenly the scene changes. I am visiting my brother in the hospital (he really was hospitalized at the time due to "Non-TB Michobacterium"). I am there with my wife, my mom and dad, and my sister. I leave the room to get a soda. When I come back, everyone except my wife is gone. I wonder what happened. An evil man appears. He tells me he knows of my powers. He tells me that to get my family back, I must use my powers to rob a bank for him. I tell him, "Sure," and he believes me. He leaves, and I begin practicing my abilities. I shoot ice and lightning from my hands and create a nice ice sculpture. Then my wife turns around, and I use my power to spin her around very fast. When I let her stop spinning, her body has transformed. I take her in my arms and kiss her. Then I begin making ice sculptures again. Suddenly I became lucid, and I woke up. 2. I am in my house back in Mississippi. Something horrible is happening to the planet. It seems as if the world is about to be destroyed. I look outside and a giant Tyrannosaurus Rex is out there. I know that he/she is not the cause of the world being destroyed, but he is still a threat. He suddenly picks me up and eats me. The scene changes. I am running from somebody in a very dark and dingy deserted house. The house is small, and I am about to be caught. I run into the bathroom and close the door but for some reason I turn the light on. I jump in the bathtub and close the curtain. The people beat the door down. I suddenly remember my real life in the real world, but I don't realize I am dreaming. I know I must escape, so I teleport back to my real life, which causes me to wake up. I fall back to sleep very fast. The next scene I am in a HUGE Target store. It is the size of a mall, with many floors. The entrance is very sophisticated with marble floors and even a reception center. I walk around but suddenly I am being pursued by Norwegians. The rest is rather hazy. I am going to be imprisoned by the Norwegians in a dungeon or something, but when they free me I will be a Viking warrior. I contemplate this idea for a few seconds and decide I want to return to my real life. Once again, I can remember the real world, but I still think that the dream world is also real. I teleport out and wake up again. This time it was morning. 3. This is actually recent. I am not an active character in this dream. Instead, I am watching. Anyway, I am in a strange world where Winnie the Pooh is a real person. And I do mean person. He is a human being. Christopher Robin is a cashier at a Kroger Grocery Store, and Winnie the Pooh is his best friend. They talk about Christmas and things, and that is about all I remember. What is strange is that my brother dreamed of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger being real people with mental handicaps about the same time that I dreamed this. Funny.

Not many dreams last night that I was able to recall and jot down, and none of real interest. Oh well. 1. I am standing in a city much like New York. I hear angry yelling. I realize I have just caused a building to collapse like the WTC. Debris is everywhere; people are running for their lives. Someone asks me why did I destroy the building. I don't know. 2. I am a robotics engineer. I have engineered a legion of robots that will obey humans and follow a set of safety rules. Something like "I, Robot"... 3. I am hanging out at night with some friends after a party of some sort. We are walking down a neighborhood street. I am wearing a black suit and black gloves. We enter a backyard and make some sort of deal/trade. We then leave the backyard and continue down the street.

1. I am in some kind of class or something. There are rows of folding metal chairs, mostly full of people. I am near the back row. I think we are waiting for a speaker to arrive, but I am anticipating someone arriving to pick me up and leave to take me somewhere else. An annoying kid in front of me keeps taunting me about something. I grab him and put him in different choke holds. He squirms. Suddenly I am at a church that I used to attend in Mississippi. I have a baby boy. He is wearing a blue one-piece outfit. I am tossing him up in the air and catching him. He seems to like it, giggling and smiling. I can see a guy I used to know named Wayne in the background, watching me. I go around a corner and get a drink of water with my boy in my arms...

1. I am with my wife in her great grandmother's house. It is a small two story home. For some reason, we have to get these two papers signed and notarized together, and the only person authorized to do it is her great grandmother. She is very old and I fear she may die soon. I keep urging her to do the process before she dies. 2. My wife and I are being held hostage by a gunman in our house. I am thinking about how I do not fear death. The gunman puts his pistol to my head, but I just smile. He then puts it to my wife's head. I get mad and remember that I am dreaming, so I reach into his head and rip his brain out. He screams in pain as I smash his brain on the floor. After it is a pile of mush on the floor, I use telekenesis to toss him into a wall. I say, "Honey, hide," to my wife and she goes invisible. I say, "Not what I meant, but okay..." 3. I am riding a motorcycle to my grandmother's house in Memphis, TN. Suddenly I see a poor man in rags. I stop and ask someone who he is. They tell me he is the "Crazy Man". I talk to him and he tells me he isn't crazy. He says an evil man took everything from him. I realize that I am lucid, so I tell him to hold onto me. He does and I fly away into the sky to find the villain and kill him...

1. I am watching a movie. It seems to be at the climax of the movie. I see a scene where the main character, a black 50 Cent type character, is being beaten to death by a gang of other black guys in an abandoned warehouse. The music is very dramatic. A guy takes a final swing with a big glass shard and busts it on the 50 Cent guy's head, in slow motion. Blood and glass spray everywhere. The 50 Cent guy suddenly receives a burst of energy, somehow still alive, and he jumps up and throws the attacker several feet. Another gang member rushes him but he drop kicks him in the chest, caving it in and killing him. I can see the two impressions of his feet on the guy's chest. The 50 Cent guy runs out of the warehouse and escapes. 2. This was an incredibly complex dream. There are a lot of details that I didn't remember. I am with a friend in highschool. We are walking home from school. He gets a call and seems very upset. He says he has to go, and he runs away. I later find out that Obama is being held captive by terrorists in a futuristic complex. It is very well guarded. A small team of elite soldiers are sent to rescue him. Somehow I can see all this happening, but I am not there. One of the members of the team is my friend who had to leave. He is secretly an assassin/spy/SWAT type guy. They rescue Obama, but it turns out he arranged the whole thing, or something. There is a ground battle between the U.S. Military and the terrorists. Later, an aerial dogfight breaks out and the battle becomes very epic. After it is all over, I see it happen again, like a replay...

1. I am in school again. I am sitting in class in the back row near the teacher (the teacher's desk is on the side, but all of the students are down in a kind of dip). It is like a built in swimming pool kind of place, so that the teacher is above everyone. My teacher is a slender blonde woman in her late twenties. She reminds me of someone, but I don't know who. I have a time lapse or something, and I am alone in the class room with the teacher. Suddenly the built in swimming pool area is full of water, leaving the classroom halfway submerged. The teacher seems to be scolding me for something. I jump in the water and swim down. Suddenly I am in a part of the classroom that resembles my old kitchen in Mississippi. My teacher swims down there with me, and she is walking like she is not underwater. She says something, and I say "Yes, Mrs. Jessica." Jessica is my wife's name, but the teacher was not her...

1. I am watching a live action Charlie Brown special. I don't know how it is Charlie Brown, except that somehow it just is. The characters are talking about the corrupt government. Someone mentions something like, "If a rebel seeks refuge in your home, do not turn him away." They talk about stockpiling weapons and bombs. Someone asks about healthcare, and the reply is, "They set up the healthcare so that we could never be free." It was a weird dream. 2. An Asian man goes into a restaurant. I am an invisible character just watching this dream. He asks the waiter if they serve human children for dinner. The waiter gets upset and tells him to go to a certain place, which ends up being a desert. Another man kidnaps the Asian man's girlfriend and takes her into a dark alley.

I haven't updated in a while because my grandmother just died. I went to Memphis to be a pall bearer at her funeral. I am drunk. I am with some friends and we are having fun. Suddenly I have a false awakening. I look outside and it looks like it is very late in the afternoon. My wife is in bed and says it is late. For some reason it feels early to me. I look at my phone. The time says 1:2. I wonder why it says that. Shouldn't it say 1:20 or 1:02? I'm not sure what is wrong, but I tell my wife it is 1:20. I am so close to being lucid. I am in a room. A Russian scientist is describing his process of making a mechanical copy of Joseph Stalin. He says he now believes humans were intelligently designed. My view zooms into his tissue and cells. I see that his arm is not connected to his body. I can see the cells broken apart. I zoom back out and both of his arms fall off. He screams in pain. Suddenly, the whole room goes crazy. The Russian's skin falls off, gravity goes away, and dinosaur bones are floating through the air and cutting through the agonized Russian. I look and see an astronaut jumping and looking around. He seems to be fine. A boulder hits him, but he survives. I see Grant from Jurassic Park get eaten by a plant eater (Brontosaurus).

I had an incredibly vivid lucid dream this morning after my wife went to work. I woke up and experienced Sleep Paralysis. Then I think I drifted into a WILD. For some reason, I was too mesmerized by the realness of the dream, knowing that I was dreaming, that I forgot all about using powers and stuff. I am able to step out of my body, already lucid. I look around and I can see everything like I am really there in my house back in Mississippi. I can see all of the pictures that used to be on the walls. I walk into my parent's room and see their bed. I see the mirrors on their walls. I know that I shouldn't look in the mirror because my face my frighten me. I decide to anyway. My face is normal, but rapidly changes into the face of the Emperor from Star Wars. I jump back, a little startled. I decide to look again. I remember that I am lucid, and that I can control anything. I look into the mirror and transform my face into different famous people's. I am amused by this for awhile, but then I open my mouth and my tooth falls out painfully. At this point I lose lucidity and begin dreaming a normal dream... I can remember only fragments of dreams because my Dream Journal was in my bag which was in another room, unpacked... All I remember is something about a classroom (again), and something about a snake that transformed into a cat that I enjoyed shocking with electricity. It didn't hurt the cat, but it kinda made it talk or something...

1. I am in school... again. A friend is offering me phone numbers to put into my phone. He gives me an old lady's number. I think she is the janitor or something. He tells me she is a mean old lady. I go into the bathroom and find a guy snorting coke on the sinks... 2. I am standing high upon a mountain in the desert watching a huge battle. I seem to be in command of my side. I can throw lightning on the enemy soldiers. 3. I am in the car with my wife, sister, and brother. We are sitting in the driveway at my house in Mississippi, waiting for my mom. My brother is learning to drive. He gets in the driver's seat and backs the car up for some reason. He puts a huge dent in my yellow Chevy Cobalt SS. It upsets me.

1. I am traveling a strange road with my wife, sister, and brother. We are on foot. It is dark. There are weird signs like, "Do not continue" or "Turn Back". One sign says we are on the Dallas North Tollway... We arrive at a cavern entrance. We have to jump over a small chasm. Inside the cavern it is well lit. Most of the cavern is a large underground pool. There are fish swimming in the pool. We swim across. I am being pulled by a current, so I grab the edge of a rock and climb up. I am far above the others. Some guy starts calling everyone names in good humor. He calls my brother a "Deck Seaman". I laugh and say, "How did you come to that conclusion?" Everyone laughs. 2. There are two girls. They are best friends, until one cracks the other's car window by accident. They get mad at each other... until they reconcile because they are marrying each other's brother. I marry my wife, and my wife's brother marries my sister. We are going to school together one morning. As I am getting out of the car, I crack the window. I tell them I will fix it and not to get mad. I walk through the school parking lot with my wife. She is in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and has to help make 200 pizzas for special thing. I say, "Fucking Business Leaders of America," because I am mad about it. I want to sit with her at lunch but I can't because she has to make the pizzas. So I sit with some friends instead. Everyone is eating and drinking school provided beer (?!??). My friend asks me if I can go up and trade his Miller Lite for a Keystone. I'm like, "WTF?" but I go get in line and do it. 3. I am standing on a catwalk in a dark facility like room. I am actually inside the last scene of the movie Lord of War, where the Interpol Agent has caught Yuri and they are talking about how it won't last. Nicholas Cage (Yuri) spots me and pulls a gun out. He fires it at me. I go into slow motion mode and dodge the bullet. It feels so real. I jump down from the catwalk and look at the puzzled Yuri. He is like, "How did you do that?" I tell him that I am in control of this world. He begins melee fighting with me, but I can dodge every punch... almost. Somehow he punches me in the mouth, so I use my power to throw him across the room. Suddenly my view zooms outside where it is daytime. I see an important lady walking hurriedly. She is surrounded by bodyguards. A man is next to her, panicking about something. She says, "We must meet. Contact the other 20 and 9 members of the Council..." What important international group has 30 or 31 members? I don't know of one.

1. I keep having this same recurring dream throughout the night. I am able to spend a little time with my grandmother at her house before she passes away. In real life she passed away on Dec 13, 2008, and I hadn't seen her since last Christmas of "07. This dream meant a lot to me, because I was able to cherish a few precious moments with her, even if it wasn't in the real world. 2. My family and I are poor. We all live in a small trailer. Some people enter our house one morning while everyone is asleep. They plan to steal all of our stuff... which isn't much. I overhear them planning it. My parents wake up and think the people are kind visitors here to welcome us. They all eat dinner together at my grandmother's house. My dad and I get into a squabble because I know the people have ill intentions and he doesn't. I tell him and he asks the people to leave.

I am in a military facility of some sort. Some kind of training base. Something happens and I go insane. I curl up in a fetal position and scream super loud. Nobody knows what to do. The scene changes and I am driving a car. There is a black guy in the passenger's seat. I realize my brakes don't work, and we are zooming toward a gas station. I end up hitting some guy's truck. He kicks my car door in anger, and wants to fight. The black guy in the car with me shouts at him. I tell him to let me handle it. I explain what happened and the man calms down, satisfied.

1. I seem to be watching an "80's Harrison Ford action movie. He is an assassin, and in the scene he is on top of a bridge ready to snipe a target. Suddenly a woman creeps behind him. He recognizes her as an old friend. He says, "Looks like we're both here to end someone's life... but which one?" He thinks she is going to kill him, but she replies, "Mine." He realizes she is about to commit suicide by leaping off the bridge. He stops her and has a dramatic scene of reminiscing. He persuades her to teach him Kung Fu or something. Later, he almost dies of a drug overdose. 2. I am sitting in my deceased Grandmother's house. My aunt and little cousin Dylan are there on the couch. We are watching a home video of my Grandmother. As I watch it, I begin to cry. Dylan calls me a crybaby. My aunt scolds him, but I pick him up and explain why I'm sad. "Nanny died and I hadn't seen her since last Christmas," I told him. He understood, and we both cried. 3. I am driving around in a van because the Mob is holding me hostage and forcing me to drive them around. I drop them off at a gas station and go into a relatively empty parking lot. I need to make a left turn onto a very busy highway. Someone is behind me in an SUV. I try to go but I can't make it, so I reverse back into safety. The person yells something at me, so I floor it, thinking it is clear. My sister is with me suddenly, screaming because there is another van coming from the right at about 70 MPH. We are about to have a fatal collision, but somehow I end up in the grass, safe. My heart is pounding so hard that I wake up sweating. 4. I am in a house with a strange man who clones himself at different sizes. He shrinks a bunch of himselves into little doll sized guys, and begins singing like the chipmunks. I show him a song that my brother and I wrote. He likes it at first, but when there is no singing, he and all of his clones leave the room.

1. It is my last day somewhere before I am flying home on a plane. I don't know where I am, possibly Mississippi. I am hanging out with my brother and a bunch of friends. We go into a grocery store and talk about tattoos and the different types of Rotel Queso dip. 2. I am eating in a diner at night with my brother, sister, and our parents. We are having a good time conversating and laughing. Some guy behind us seems very threatening. My sister pulls out an airsoft pistol and threatens to shoot him if he doesn't leave. He gets mad and makes a show. I stand up and quietly tell him, "It's in your best interest to leave, now." He storms out of the diner. I tell my sister she didn't have to pull out a fake gun, that I could have protected us. My brother says he was planning to beat the guy to death with drumsticks.

My brother is sculpting/molding an alien mask. I go to a small diner at night with a group of friends. We all go outside and sit around in the parking lot talking. Suddenly everything gets out of hand. Tensions rise for some reason. People start yelling and punching each other. I see some preacher get escorted out of the diner for punching somebody in the face.

1. I am in my kitchen. We have my grandmother's body for a wake at the house. Suddenly her body starts flailing and she screams. She says she wasn't dead, just in a coma. 2. I am walking through an old church in Mississippi in my Navy dress whites. I see my dad, but he is only about 30 years old as opposed to 50. As I follow him out into the parking lot, I realize I'm dreaming, and everything goes fuzzy. I touch his leather coat with my fingers in an attempt to stabilize. It works, but he turns into his normal age, and for some reason that causes me to think I woke up, and I lose lucidity.

I'm with my dad and brother. We go to England on a business trip, but England is tropical. It is sitting at the foot of an active volcano. We go to a motel to stay. Later we go to a water park or something. I end up meeting some friends and we go skating in a high school. We are getting in trouble, so I put my skateboard in some random kid's locker, then we go watch a movie about genetically altered dinosaurs that can kill the regular dinosaurs. All of the genetically altered dinosaurs have leopard spots...

This dream feels like it was based off of a dream memory from another dream. I am searching my old house for something that is the most valuable thing in the whole universe, much like melange from Arakkis. I can remember clues being hidden from before. I find all the clues and they lead me to an old computer in the house. The solution of how to get whatever the substance is is found on the hard drive, but it can only be retrieved through special instructions that only I have.

I am with some friends in a semi-futuristic room that appears to be my house. In the living room there is a huge plasma screen TV, only it isn't really a TV. It is a portal control system. Somehow, my friends use it to travel to a distant desert planet... by accident. I realize I need to rescue them, but not by myself. I go with my brother and his girlfriend to a Japanese restaurant and ask Hiro Nakamura to join us and help us. He doesn't have any powers like he does in "Heroes". He agrees, but his father doesn't. His father sends some guy and his sister to prevent us from taking Hiro. We get in a fight, but me and the guy are evenly matched. We both realize that we are British, and we start talking about British things. I tell him, "We can keep this up all day, but we are just gonna kill ourselves". So we stop fighting. I am back at my weird house and I go into my closet to get some desert clothes. I have Obi-Wan Kenobi's old robes for some reason. Suddenly I spot a book on a shelf in the closet. I pick it up. It is a hard cover, but the front cover is missing. The title page reads: "Lucid Dream". I look at it for a moment, and then I realize... that the book is years overdue to the library!! Oh No!! Suddenly I wake up and realize that I was so close to lucidity.

I am in the US Navy again. I am stationed on a small ship, probably a frigate, in Florida (this is where I really was last year). I find out that the Navy is funding blue and gold themed Nascars to drive around the base... ?! All sailors have to pay a $500 fee for this. I reluctantly pay the $500, because they tell me I will get it back in the near future. So I go on my way. Later I go back to the people collecting the money and ask when I will get my $500 back. They tell me there is a change in plans, that I wont get it back. In fact they tell me I must pay an additional $9000!! I go berserk. I yell and punch people and smash tables in anger. I yell about my wife who is 9 months pregnant and I can't afford a mandatory $9000 non-refundable fee to fund some fucking Nascars. I refuse to pay and leave. Then I wake up thinking, "What the hell?"
