Dateless: I think late October 2007, beacuse I remember I had a bunch of wolf dreams around this time and these 3 were on the full moon and the previous day and the day after.
Dream #1
I was walking down a tunnel that lead under an overpass. I could see trees and bushes on the other side. It was a really dark night, and the lighting in the tunnel was a very harsh light blue. I knew I was being followed by someone (or something), but every time I turned around nothing was there. I heard a small chuckle every once in a while. When I got to the middle of the tunnel, I turned to look around again. As soon as I turned, someone very cold grabbed my neck and wrapped his arm around my waist, and turned me to look at him. I wanted to know who and what kind of person would touch me like that, so I looked him in the eyes.
They were a beautiful sea blue/ green, and seemed like they would never end. I relaxed into a stupor and just stared at him. He smiled at me, showing growing canines. You guessed it- vampire. =]
"Do you know why we want you?" He asked me calmly. His breath smelled like peppermints, and was intoxicating.
I tried to reply, but in my drugged state I could hardly even say the word "No." He moved in front of me, and I felt he commanded me to stay. I did. Why would I even move when all I wanted to do was look at him? He was perfect. Sculpted muscles, tousled black hair, and those rich, deep eyes.
"You're special." He continued, seeming not to notice my slurred reply. "And if we didn't get you," he moved close to me again, and I yearned for his touch, even though some part of me was screaming. I drowned it out. He went behind me and tilted my head to the side and held my shoulder, and I felt his cool breath on my neck. "Then they would. And we wouldn't want that, now would we?" I tried to respond again but this time couldn't make a sound save for a soft moan. The tips of his teeth brushed my neck, and I was aroused. I heard another voice that seemed very far away...
"Man, Duke, why do you always play with your food?" I was a little annoyed at this interuption, but hardly anything got through the haze surrounding me.
"This one's not food." he replied. "She needs to be turned, so if you'll excuse me..." He resumed his position and bit softly into my neck. I didn't feel anything but pure ecstacy. "Here, lay down." he said to me, and put his coat on the ground for me to rest on. "It makes it easier." I did what I was told, and felt strong, even though at the same time I still felt drugged.
"Well, that was easy." The other one said to Duke. "Yes...a little mind trickery and such... still, it helps that she's a teenager and hasn't had any experience with the 'paranormal'." They both snickered at this.
Suddenly I got a very sharp smell in my nose. It wasn't bad, just slightly painful. (Like when it's super cold outside, and you breathe through your nose... it hurts, but is very crisp.) The hairs on the back of my neck stood up, and I found myself crouched in a fighting position growling softly.
"She turned out well... pity that hairball has to steal all the fun." Duke said. A lone werewolf barreled through the tunnel, and attacked Duke first, senseing he was the leader.
He glanced at me and yelled "What are you doing?!? Help me!" I bared my fangs at him and he growled. "Too bad..." he muttered while bashing the vampire's skull into the concrete. I was pissed at him for doing that to my mate. (Whoa, guess that came along with the whole transformation thing :/) I leapt at him and dug my nails into his fur. My attack had distracted him long enough to release the first two, and they ran, promising to come back for me. He pinned me, and again I bared my fangs and hissed. "Now hold on." he said to me calmly, and looked at me with a mixture of pity and disgust, mostly pity. "This is going to hurt, but it's the only way to change you back."
"I don't want to change back!" I spat at him. It landed on his muzzle and burnt him like acid. I was about to go for his eyes when he suddenly bit me in the same spot the vampire had. There was no ecstacy now, only pure, blinding pain. I literally saw red and thrashed around, tearing at and biting everything within reach. Finally the pain subsided. He was now pretty patchy, and was covered in several gushing gashes. I wondered, "Did I do that?" and assumed I did. I no longer felt any loyalty to my "Mate". I was exausted, and fainted.
Well...that was..interesting... too bad I can't remember if I had read Twilight or Interview with a Vampire near then... and in there are some pretty obvious symbols for my drive oh well it was fun =] except for the whole searing pain thing.
Dream #2
I woke up in a huge forest. All of the colors were very vivid, and I was on my back looking up at the trees. They were giant, and a pretty reddish brown. The leaves stirred slightly in the breeze, and bright sunlight filtered in through the treetops. I got up and wondered what on earth was I doing in the middle of the forest, then I felt my neck and the two bite marks. I remembered everything. They didn't hurt at all, like the two had canceled each other out, and I saw my shirt was covered in blood. "Dude, I just bought this!" I muttered out loud. I thought I should try to find some people so I could go back home.
I walked along for a bit, taking in the pretty birds and rabbits along the path. Finally I came across a campsite, and asked a woman who was cooking breakfast for the day. She seemed shocked to see me, and looked disturbed that I needed the day, not the time. Everyone in the camp was staring at me. I thought it was very rude, even though I probably looked as though a train had run over me. Most likely I was covered in bruises too. The lady shut her mouth and told me. I thanked her, and asked if she knew which way was north. As she was about to reply a giant pack of werewolves surrounded the camp. "Again?" I said aloud. She looked like she couldn't decide which to be more suprised by- me, who already knew the werewolves and was covered in blood, or that werewolves existed at all. The wolves had some weapon that they stunned the humans with, then rounded them all up and put them in cages. I protested that I already knew Cirrus (The wolf from last night's dream), but they said I was lying like a dirty human would and put me in a cage too. They walked on and carried our cages. Any time someone would act up, they'd just shock them, sometimes knocking them uncontious. I tried to touch the bars and they gave me a nasty shock as well. One of the guards laughed. I was annoyed, but mostly scared.
We got to their camp, and they set the cages down, not too softly. We were arranged around a grey circle that looked like concrete, but was something natural to the woods. A big black werewolf with a white underbelly and a staff announced, "Every one of you will fight. If you die, then you die. If you refuse to fight, then you die painfully. If you're lucky, you might get something special. Any questions?"
A small man in a tweed suit who had been raising a ruckus before said "What something special?" his voice was nasaly and annyoing, and he acted like he knew it all. At the same time, I empathized with him.
The black wolf growled and said "That is for those who win to find out." he apparently didn't like being questioned, even though he asked for it. "So, who's first?" he opened a cage at random and pulled out the woman I had talked to earlier.
A smaller brown werewolf who looked like he needed a tank of Riddlin seemed eager for the fight. My guess was that he was a pup. She got up and made a feeble martial arts stance. The wolf lunged at her and left a set of claw marks on her chest. They looked deep, but he was only toying with her. They "fought" some more, but eventually he got bored and ripped her throat out. I was appalled and facinated at the same time, like a small beast within me had been awakened and it's appetite had been whetted with the smell of blood.
A few more pitiful "fights" occured, then I was pulled roughly out of the cage. I tried again to explain that I knew Cirrus, but I was shocked in the back of the neck. Some of the guards were betting on me. I didn't know why, it seemed pretty obvious that I would lose. I made a small snarl at the guard, and she laughed. "I want this one." She said. "As pathetic as she is, she might be interesting." We stepped onto the circle and she stretched. She was huge and toned. I heard "No chance" and crying coming from the cages. I put up a guard like in boxing, even though I was 99.9% sure it wouldn't help. She mimicked me and swung to punch. I put my arm up to block, but at the last minute she opened her hand and her claws gouged into my skin. I hissed in pain. My arm was numb. Had she killed the nerves? She sat down and waited for my move. I ran at her screaming and tried to punch her in the snout. She caught my hand in her mouth and all I heard was a loud series of pops and crunches. I screamed and tried to kick her, and she caught my leg and twisted it until I heard another loud pop. I saw red. I then tried to choke her, but she easily pulled me off and stabbed her claws into my chest several times, always making sure to twist them so a chunk of flesh came out too. Suddenly I felt like my body was being consumed by fire, but it was pleasantly warm. My skin healed over quickly and I felt my teeth extending and my mouth form into a snout. My leg twisted back into place and I saw dark black fur with some grey coming from my pores. I wasn't scared. I knew somehow that this was where I was supposed to be, where I belonged. Just when I thought I had finished the transformation, a pair of wings burst from my back. There were many gasps, even from the wolves.
The first voice I heard was the small man. "That's inhuman!" He cried. "Making another one of us civilized beings into you! And keeping us in cages! How dare you?!? I'm going to call my lawyer." His voice grated on me even more now. No sympathy. I walked over. "Quiet, Human." I snarled, slightly taken aback that I had changed sides so quickly. "Civilized?" I continued. "You people start wars, kill each other for money, destroy the earth, and hunt down and seperate those who aren't exactly like you. Is that civilized?" The man backed to the corner of the cage. "And if you haven't noticed, you can't do anything." I reached through the bars, protected from the shock by my beautiful silky fur. I grabbed the cell phone he was frantically trying to dial, and crushed it easily in my hand. The crying was worse now. I couldn't see why they were upset. The change was a beautiful thing. Why couldn't they see that it was a gift, not a curse?
Another small wolf came up and tapped me on the shoulder. I turned to look at him and he bowed. "The Alpha would like to see you." He pointed me in the right direction. I thanked him, and walked to the cabin. I ducked my head in, and saw a light grey wolf with beads and feathers woven into his fur. He smiled at me.
"That was lucky." He said. I gave him the I-have-no-idea-what-you're-talking-about-but-okay look. He laughed, and said "Finding the Kuten in a random camper sweep. Very lucky."
"What's a Kuten?" I asked.
"You don't know?" he frowned. "A Kuten is someone who has the Spirit in them. Two kinds of animals, as a symbol to the clans to unite. The Spirit appears once in every generation or so, sometimes less because of the lack of an appropriate host. One at a time." He flashed a grin. "You were picked because of some qualities you have, and now that you've discovered your blood, you can lead. Your father was one before you. He and I were great friends, and though the Spirit did not pick me, it left me a gift." He tapped his finger near his eye. "War is coming, apparently..." He gazed out the window at the fights, then up to the sky.
"I have a question..." I said quietly.
"Go right ahead, you need to know all you can."
"Why am I a werewolf? I thought that had to do with the full moon."
He looked at me for a second, his lips twitching in amusement. "The MOON?!? You actually believed all of those human stories about the MOON?" He was doubled over in laughter. I was very embarrased. When he had stopped laughing, he said, "I suppose you would... since apparently no one has told you the true stories. The moon has absolutely nothing to do with it. We hunt more then, because it's easier to see, but that's all. You can be a werewolf if one of your parents was (it's a dominant trait), and then have to be an inch from death for the trait to rise, or if both of your parents are, you get the transforming ability naturally." I tried to picture a fuzzy baby delivery, but couldn't.
"Speaking of which, how do I change back? It's a little hot." He looked like he was going to burst out laughing again.
"Just picture- your human- body." He said between spurts of laughter. I tried, but it didn't work. "Come here." He told me, and I did. He sniffed me and growled when he got near my neck. "Here, put this on it." He gave me a bag of herbs and I sprinkled it on the wound, then I was able to change.
I asked him what he meant about his eyes. "I can see who is a werewolf and who isn't, even those who have never transformed. Makes growing the pack a little easier, if you know what I mean."
"So you don't even have to do this barbaric fight?" I was outraged. "And what happens if they don't want to be a werewolf or join your pack?"
"To the first question, even if they were a werewolf, they'd still have to be nearly killed to transform. This is just a more fun way of doing it. Those guards bet on who is a wolf and who isn't. If they don't want to be a wolf, then they deserve to die, because this is one of the greatest gifts. If they don't want to join the pack, then we show them how great being a wolf is."
"In other words, you brainwash them."
"Call it what you want." We stared out the window for some time, and the small man turned out to be a wolf. He was crying.
"Why does the girl who fought me hate me so much? I've never met her before in my life."
"Oh...she is just mad that the title Kuten goes to a half-breed. She'll get over it. Anyways, you have to go now..." His voice faded and I woke up.
MAN that was a long one =P Somewhat same themes in this one, but me talking to the small man was pretty interesting...Oh yeah, Kuten means the people who are used by a spirit to be a medium. Wonder where my sub-c got that =P World cultures? It would be nice if I could remember dreams like that again...I know I'm missing a few details.
Again, I seem to get the whole "Better/Smarter than you" thing going on. It's sort of annoying, especially when I tell myself everyone has equal value. Apparently some part of me thinks that idea is crap. I wonder if others feel the same way?
Dream #3 This one doesn't mesh so well with the others, but it still has to do with me as a werewolf and it occured on night #3, so I decided to include it. It's much shorter, thank heavens =P
I was at a ski/snowboard resort on a trip with my school. I was super excited because I've only seen snow two or three times in my life, and here was a mountian covered in it. My best friend (In my dream, I've never met her in real life or even another dream) and I were rooming together, and for whatever reason we got an awesome loft. It was on stilts and the walls were full windows, so the view was great. The carpet was nice and soft and a royal blue, and the heater worked really well. I kept wondering how I was going to change into my PJs when the walls were windows, and finally resolved to just change, so I looked around for any creeps and did so. My friend and I were talking about our greatest secrets, and I told her that I was a werewolf. She seemed a little suprised, but not really. Then she told me her biggest secret (which I think was actually one of my real-life ones, but I don't remember so I don't know).
At some point in the night, I woke up (false) to the sky being a violent reddish-orange outside the big windows. My friend woke up too, and we both ran down the stairs (now at my house/neighborhood, but it seems empty and spaced too far apart), and outside. We turned onto the street perpendicular to mine, and I saw a figure standing near the top of the hill on the road. The clouds were swirling above her, almost like they would form a tornado, but in high speed (like when people set up cameras pointing at the sky and it plays in FF) I walked closer to her, and knew she was a very strong person. Her face was dark, but dramatically lit. I heard her telling me to change telepathicly, but I told her I didn't want to hurt any of the others. By this time many of my classmates were coming around the corner, they were all following each other, originally following me. She made me stay with a beam of light that came from nowhere. I yelled at the others to stay back, but they ran forward anyway and became trapped in the light. Every time I yelled "STOP!" more came. Soon we were all stuck like flies in honey.
She made me change then, and I tried to stop it because I knew if I was too far gone I would do what I pleased. She knew this, and tried harder. It wasn't even a contest. I was totally wolf, complete with wings. The "release" of emotions happened, and it felt great. (In this dream apparently I had transformed many times, and had associated pleasure and unrestrained feeling with changing) Some of the people were amazed, some were disgusted, and some just wondered what was going to happen.
I tried to struggle again, but I couldn't move at all. She released me from the beam, and I felt great gratitude that she had done so, forgetting that she had trapped me in the first place. She also released my friend, who was not afraid of me. Then she made a circle of light around us, so we could move, but not leave. The lady told me that if I killed my friend, she would free me, let me become a leader in her army, and let me save a few others. The pleasure of the hunt rose in me, and I was sickened because the person was my best friend, not some prey. The conflict rose and I puked on the rim of the ring. My friend looked at me.
"Do what you have to. One is not worth many. Just do it for the right reasons." I felt horrible, but let my consiousness be replaced by the hunter's, and slashed at her. I leaned down to rip out her throat. The last thing she said was with purity and an innocent's eyes, "I forgive you. Remember that." I killed her.
The lady on the hill came up to me.
"Bravo, honestly I didn't know what you were going to do." She patted me on the shoulder. I knew she was laughing at me, that she knew all the time what I would do. I thought it was awful how I had killed one innocent for the lives of these other people who meant nothing to me, and who had teased me. I threw up again. All the while in some part of my brain I knew she wouldn't stop hunting them.
"Pair up!" she told the people. Naturally everyone went with who they trusted most. Best friends, twins, and the like. I tried to tell them it would be worse, but the lady made it so I couldn't speak. I was paired again with a very mean girl from my school, who would hardly ever say anything bad about anyone to their face, but was a serious backstabber. I remembered she had tried to cut apart my group of friends, and had told me I belonged with her group, not the pathetic losers who weren't as pretty as her. I was filled with rage. The lady thought to me "Feed it." I clawed her open, and in the back of my mind I saw the other fights going on. Relationships and ties held nothing when survival was at stake. Not not, anyway. I tore her guts out and asked her "Are you pretty now? Can you accept beauty now?" Before she could answer, I ripped out her throat. The lady smiled and sat back to look at her work. I threw up again and woke up feeling a little sick.
Wow... my twisted mind... prehaps it has some spiritual reference as well as my own hatred for some things. :/ Pretty sick that I actually enjoyed it though >.<0
