      What is your dream journal?

      What is your dream journal?

Whether you use a notebook, tape recorder, your computer, or just your brain, every lucid dreamer has a dream journal.

I wasn't sure whether I was supposed to put this topic in the Dream jounal Section or the Dream Recall Section, so I flipped a coin.

My dream jounal is a simple 91/2" x 6" notebook. After a few days of writing in the journal, I tansfer them to the computer in Microsoft Word, and copy and paste them into my dream journal on this site. http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3077.

Damn... there was supposed to be another option ion my poll. "combination of the above", but it won't allow me to fix it. If you fall under this category, click other.

i use TextEdit, which is basically "Notepad" for Macs. I like it because it doesn't complain about bad grammar like Word does.

What is IdXLog Dream Edition 1.1? I've been searching online and have come up with nothing.

I use a word processor, but would like a good template that makes me write even more every dream.

IdXLog DE is a program I wrote, but despite that handicap it's very efficient as a dream journal, and is very easy to use. About fifteen of the users here use it or have requested it, if you want to join them (excuse the obvious promotion here), just P.M. me!

I just write them as text files on my computer, then upload to my site and my journal on this site too.

I use a notebook. I always think it was wierd to make a dream journal. I call it my book of dreams. But I keep mine in a different language that I made up when I was 10 one boring summer. I still use this langauge and everything because I have the nosiest sisters and parents, so the only way for privacy in my house is to write in this format. I also dont want my hidden secrets learned and the secrets of the universe told just yet. Anyways. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who is strange enough to have these crazy dreams that are even worth recording in writing.
When I dream, theres always a
little girl playing in the dirt, that
turns to me and says "Why are
you here? .... Are you blind like
      me?"

      What I've found
      What I've known
Never shined to me what I've shown
      Never be
      Never free
I wish to see what might have been...
...So I talk to you unbeliever.

Ha, I made my own language too, based on the mutation of the english words. In my language, my name is Yaisehelei.

I don't use it anymore, pointless really.

Yeah I'm sorry the program uses a lot of controls that are not used by everyday programs (RichText, Calendar, CommonDialog etc.) and unless you've got an up to date version of them it won't work, thankfully on most peoples systems it works first time.

I find that installing old games sometimes overwrites the files with crappy late nineties versions.

I use a digital tape recorder right when I wake up and later go back and record it in length in a notebook.

I use a notebook, or Microsoft Word. My family is nosy too, so if I have a sexy dream or a personal dream, I write it using the cyrrilic alphabet. (Russian) When I learn more of the language, I'll use that instead.

lol this is funny. here i was thinking that i was the only person who ever made my own language up. and i did it when i was about 10 myself. i couldn't tel u my name in it, becuase im 25 now and dont use it . let alone have i ver used it. but , however. i do have it on alarge poster somewhere n the closet still. alphabit and how to say it. very interseting... and my dreams r deep within my mind..... and besides my typing im to lazy to put caps and punction parks where needed. but n my book i do so.. i have started to write books. and my dreams a a major role n it for inspiration. so i can not type all my dreams here ... hehe

Yeah I find that if I write a dream down in my Dream Journal, I can recall the details without ever needing to read it again - e.g. it is like I have recorded a video of it and I can just play it back in my head.

And I thought I was the only one to make up a secret alphabet. When i was 10 I made an alphabet that my whole class in elementary school caught onto and used to pass notes. Without the teachers knowing what it said. *sighs*
