Hey everybody! A total newbie here. I found out about this site like five days ago and I've been trying to remember my dreams ever since. I normally don't remember my dreams except on rare occasions, but strangely enough I'll have days in a row where I'll remember dreams every single time I go to bed. I'm guessing it has something to do with my mental state, which makes it seem likely that I would be able to train myself to remember dreams regularly. Anyways, for the four days in a row that I've tried to remember my dream, this morning was the first morning that I've actually had something to write down in my journal!!!! The first few nights the only things I could recollect were vague mental images that I wasn't even sure were from a dream or were just produced by my imagination to answer the question "what did I dream?" But this morning I did have a dream that I remembered quite clearly compared to the previous nights, so I'm pretty happy. My main problem in remembering dreams is that I'll often wake up semi-conscious and I'll just be lying there thinking about random things and by the time I'm fully conscious I'll have thought about so much stuff that I won't even be able to remember the dream. Yes sounds weird but I think it's something that I'll be able to get past, as I did this morning. I just need better reminders and to step up the auto-suggestion. Before I share the dream I had this morning, I'll summarize some of the weirder dreams I've had in my life. You might get the impression from reading these that I only get scary dreams but I'm just writing about these because they are the most interesting. Lol. 1) Once when I was around 10 years old, I had a dream where I was captured by a huge, muscular, green hulk-like monster. He grabbed me and took me miles into a mysterious, scary place past a whole bunch of different locations (Deserts, plains, etc). Then in the dream I woke up and my dad walked into the bedroom, but little did I know I was still dreaming, and in the middle of talking, my father turned into a RED version of the previous monster and attacked me! 2) When I was living in my old house, I had a dream where I "woke up" in my bed and walked outside of my room only to find my house haunted by huge, furry bugs and other weird creatures. I remember specifically seeing a huge hairy spider and a weird furry sloth. Either way, the next thing I remembered was being chased by Brak from Space Ghost. I was chased by about 3 of them and they chased me all the way throughout the house. I don't remember if they ever caught me. 3) I had a dream when I was young where I was locked in a room with Talpa (a character from the cartoon Ronin Warriors, a show I used to watch a lot as a kid). Either way I don't really remember him doing anything but the reason the dream was weird was because in the dream, Talpa told me he would reappear in exactly one year so for the whole next year I thought that I was going to have another nightmare where he showed up. He never did. 4) Here's one I recently had. I was stuck inside a Legend of Zelda dungeon and I was being chased by huge horses made out of ground beef. I eventually reach the center of the dungeon and there's a huge pit with boiling water, which I leap over. The horses try to reach me (they're trying to kill me) but they all start falling into the water and I started mashing them up with my hands because they're ground beef. I see a few crab claws rising out of the water here and there so I know there's crabs inside it. Eventually the whole pool of boiling water with the crabs and ground beef becomes soup, and I drink it. It's delicious.

Here's the dream I had this morning. My first one since the beginning of my LD training! I only remember vague bits and pieces of it. I dreamed that I was being forced to take some kind of test with some kind of device that would cause a handicap. I don't really remember any details except that I was being forced to take the test under strange conditions due to strange circumstances. I think it was my mother who wanted me to take the test. Then I remember my mother yelling at me in a random parking garage. I remember someone throwing a pair of keys and then me walking off while yelling something rude to my mother and ignoring what she was saying. Then I remember walking over to my cousin's car (he wasn't even in the scene until now), walking around the whole car, and then hopping into the passenger's seat. My cousin was in the driver's seat at this point ready to go, and I don't remember anything past that point. I also have a vague memory of walking around a huge, castle like school building that was built in kind of a Spanish style. I think this was part of a dream I had earlier in the night, but I remember absolutely nothing else that happened in that one... all I can remember is the image of the building. Hopefully I'll start remembering more of my dreams! It's a skill that you get better at over time, right?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wow so last night was one of the first nights I didn't go to bed stoned in weeks... I did smoke earlier in the day but it was in morning. Either way, I have had absolutely zero dream recall (well actually I remembered fragments of like ONE) for the two weeks i've been doing this because of the green. Anyways last night I had some REALLY strange experiences. I think I had two dreams but the first one was really hazy. I don't remember many images from it, just feelings. I remember that I was fighting some type of foe but he had no name or face. Then (and this is the weird part) I realized that I was dreaming and tried to summon amazing karate powers to defeat the enemy but it didn't work. But the next thing I remember is an overwhelming force coming over my entire body and me being transported to another place. I also seem to remember experiencing sleep paralysis after waking up in the middle of last night, though I can't even say for sure right now whether it really happened like I thought it did. But what I remember is waking up and not being able to move, and then hearing roaring ghost sounds and seeing a sinister black form with eyes floating across my field of vision (the thing was really blurry but it just looked like pure evil). I woke up later and went back to sleep and when I woke up I forgot to even try to remember my dream but when I went to the bathroom I realized that I actually DID have a dream. I wish I wrote it down as soon as I woke up because then I probably would've remembered more of it, but here's what I remember: First I was walking around random neighborhoods at night looking for a party, and then I somehow got in touch with one of my friends who invited me over to his place to drink and smoke. I went over and went into his room and instead of looking like his usual place it was a fusion of his bedroom, a public bathroom (there were urinals), and one of the student computer labs at my university. So basically it was like his bedroom with the bathroom in its usual place, but right by the bathroom door in the main part of the room there was a row of urinals, and further past that there were rows of computers. He was sitting at one of the computers with a girl and I started urinating in one of the urinals and I did it in a way that was really funny apparently and my face looked strained because I was trying so hard to urinate (this is really weird but it really happened in the dream... maybe because I had woken up before this to go to the bathroom). Anyways somehow while I'm peeing I'm also on AIM (i don't know how) and he instant messages me from where he's sitting saying "haha why are you peeing so hard" and I look over and him and the girl are cracking up. I don't remember how I transitioned from here, but next thing you know I was on facebook and there were two girls who I had a thing with back in high school but who hated me now, and I saw them fighting on facebook on somebody's wall and I remember thinking in my head "hahahahhaa, they're still fighting after all these years!" the weird thing is that they've never fought with each OTHER and I also can't remember what they were fighting about but it was somehow related to a guy they both liked or something. But there you go... hopefully this wasnt just a one time thing because it was really cool. I'll try again to remember my dream tonight.
