Hi folks, I've been interested in lucid dreaming for around 3 years now, had some mediocre successes but somehow... my attention to the topic slowly vanished, I came back to it several times but never persevered. In the end I WILDed unintentionally when doing a WBTB, but it wasn't an attempt on my side. We were at the beach and my mother woke me up in the morning to go to work and she took me home (cos I left some stuff at home), the trip took around an hour and I was sleepy and tried to sleep in the car. When I was home an hour later I got in bed and entered lucidly in a dream, I wasn't trying to... it was an accident I've never had a succesful attempt when trying though. My dream recall was very good around the last christmas holidays but now it's very bad again So that's why I'm gonna start a dream journal again. No point in trying to go lucid again if I can't even remember it The main point of this thread is to improve my dream recall but you're free to comment on my dreams and stuff, that's why it's online after all

21 aug 09 Ski Elevator NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID With a title like that you can guess the scene was in the snowy mountains. I was on a road underneath a ski elevator, as far as I know I didn't have my snowboard with me. I went along and suddenly the set-up of the elevator was changed a bit, I wasn't really underneath it anymore. The elevator stopped at the road I was on, it didn't go over it anymore. Now it was quite dangerous cos I had to cross the 'benches' coming in from the elevator. So I jumped and passed a cabinet of the elevator succesfully. Suddenly I heard my brother, I looked back and he was in a cabinet or 'bench' like I like to call it. He was waving at me and shouting something, he jumped of the elevator and walked towards me. We walked a bit further down the slope and suddenly the whole ski elevator jammed. I looked back and saw that my brother was still holding onto the cable (which is impossible btw :p He was holding the big steel support that's holding the benches onto the cable, only this support wasn't in reality a cable... yet he was holding it). It's kinda hard to explain but he did jam it alright by pulling at the cable and another cabinet crossed it and boom... stuck. Then my brother got a call... on his walktie talkie?! It were the mechanics of the ski elevator and they were pretty mad, my brother walked back up the slope towards the top of the ski elevator and I saw him talking to the mechanics a moment later. I was left alone and looked around a bit and I saw some people from my class, at that moment the snow kinda vanished and there was more dirt than snow (like it would be if it were summer). I walked towards the group but there was only one person I knew, a friend from another class which followed the same course as me. I guess the rest of the people was from the same college, just followed different courses, or maybe the same but just a grade higher than me? Things got blurry here, don't really know what happened but I'm pretty confident the next part is a follow-up to this dream. 21 aug 09 Beach Stuff NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID We were on the beach and there were people in the sea, at a point in the dream I jumped in it as well. There was this dude that could swim, really, really fast. It wasn't normal at all, he was doing butterfly strokes and as he did it there was so much water he pushed away with his arms. Then another moment I was sitting on the sand and I saw one part of my swimming trunks were greenish brown and the other blue (blue is the actual color of my swimming trunks). There was a guy sitting next to me and he explained that it was because of the seaweed, it dried up in the sun and got that brownish color. And apparantly the seaweed was only on one side of my trunks. 21 aug 09 Rainbow Six NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID The setting was like the videogame 'Rainbow Six', it was night as well. But before that there were some blurry parts I can't recall to the fullest. I was in some flying thing in a factory and beneath me were mice, lots of them. I get the feeling I was actually a mouse as well. There was a bird up high where we were and we scared it away with our flying machine, the bird flew down and started eating mice, poor mice... xD Now here's a part I don't remember. POOF the setting is much darker, it's still a factory but there's a robotic atmosphere. Now it started to feel like a computer game. The first part of the 'game' was on the ground, there were some soldiers and that's all I remember. The 2nd round, we were in some flying thing again, shooting the soldiers from above. The soldiers weren't really human soldiers though, they were like androids or something. Then I got scared a bit and my attention was drawn on the furthest part of the factory and I heard this creepy noise of a huge robot moving. It was the 'boss' of the level. There's again a gap between parts... Now I'm on a boat (a big frater ship), and it's at night and now it's starting to feel like 'Rainbow Six' I was talking about in the beginning. I jumped of the boat and was on some docks and there were old factory buildings there, probably to load things of ships and such. The docks were formed in a U-shape. When I was on the corner some helicopter flew by and started shooting me, then another weird boss appeared (it was a living van or something ). I don't think I got killed but it was game over alright. I was back on the boat again, I jumped of and before going to the corner I looked for some weaponry. I found a sniper rifle and a flak jacket. I walked around the corner and 1 helicopter stayed to shoot at me and the other just flew away, I aimed my sniper rifle at the pilots and shot. The helicopter then started flying upside down, it was like it was about to crash but then it flew normally again, there was a person that was about to fall out of the chopper but then a hand grabbed him and pulled him back in. I shot the pilots again, I think the helicopter crashed then. Anyhow, my attention was then on the boss. Oh... there was something different than before, there was a weird creature and a huge hole in the ground, when I looked closer it was actually a tunnel. The weird creature throwed some lightning sticks in it for some light. And then... the boss van was there again and pushed that weird creature in. I jumped back and I don't really know what happened, it started shooting me but in the end... I survived and won I think, or maybe my attention was drawn on something else and I forgot about the boss or something. Doesn't really matter I suppose I was now on the other side of the docks, oh... I forgot something, in the middle of the 'U-shape' there were buildings. So the docks were rectangular actually but there were buildings on the docks and that's how the 'road' how it's U-shape. I walked further now and got inside a building, it was deserted and the windows were broken. I saw some stairs and walked up them, being in the video-game world I was in saw a radio like in another game 'Bioshock'. And it announced some events, my attention was on it and I soon forgot about the warehouse I was in. I looked to the left of the radio and there ware some xbox games on the shelf, I remembered they were actually of my little brother. Poof, blurry again I think that focussing my attention on the xbox games got me into another dream 21 aug 09 BIG Tv! Technique used for getting Lucid NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I was in my room now and there was this HUGE, really... HUGE tv in my room. My friends were playing some video games and I thought... 'hey, I'm gonna hook my xbox to this thing'. I tried to hook it up and had some problems with the cablework and stuff, then I had a conversation with my brother about the origins of that big tv. How it got there and stuff... Apparantly, my stepbrothers and sisters thought a tv was the most important thing for their dorm so they bought one together, now they didn't need it anymore and I got it, or something like that...

I had some dreams I could remember but didn't quite wrote down, I did from the 21st because they were interesting. I hadn't decided to keep a Dream Journal and now... well, I forgot those dreams of the last couple of days. 25 aug 09 Axe guy NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID This dream is really vague, I can't put things in order and I have very little memory of it. Some would call it a nightmare, I wouldn't... I wasn't terrified, it just happened and that's that. I was in a house, not mine... I was more like a cafe and some other people were there as well but I haven't the faintest idea who they were (I mean I can't remember who they were, in the dream I probably knew who they were). Then there was some guy that came in with an axe, I don't remember his intentions... to kill us or not. I somehow remember a bit that I had nothing to be afraid about because he wasn't going to harm me. It's really dumb that I don't remember what happened. 25 aug 09 Jump Game Technique used for getting Lucid NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Another one of those vague dreams, it was something about jumping around and hiding for a girl. It was some sort of trial and error course, there was a way to complete it if you did the right things but me and that other person that was doing it kept failing. The girl was directing the events of the course I think, I caught her off guard by doing unexpected stuff and I think I made it to the end. We had some weird equipement as well that made us jump really high and stick to the ceiling or something. Blurry blurry blurry I had sex with a girl, I think it was the one from that course, really...really strange, and vague as hell, can't remember much but I know it woke me up. Normally I would label this as another dream but I'm beginning to suspect that I don't really have 'other' dreams at all, they're just long sequences of weird events and scenario's during one REM period and that they all connect at some point. There was something peculiar about this though, she spoke english! And for a moment I remembered other dreams where people spoke english to me! My native language is not english, that's why it's so weird I thought the language was always like the voice inside your head, but come to think of it... I can 'think' in english if I want to, like I'm doing now to write this down. I remember though, that she used words that didn't make sense at all, that probably weren't even english, probably for words that I didn't really knew. But in the dream, they made sense :p 25 aug 09 Back in Belgium NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Another vague dream, my friend who's on a trip to France now (he really is IRL) was back here in Belgium and he said he actually never leaved but his parents did. That's pretty much it.

Not much and vague dreams I can't remember fully I'm starting to think that the more I try to WILD and thus sacrifice my normal sleeping pattern, the worse my dream recall gets. 26 aug 09 Creepy Presence NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID You know that creepy feeling you sometimes get when doing WILD? I only got it once though. My dream is about that 'presence'. I was in my room and I walked downstairs and suddenly I felt this presence, it was a man, I'm sure of that but yet he wasn't really there (it was just a presence, not a real person)... Yet it scared me and I thought: in dreams, you have to intent the things you want. So I forcefully said I didn't want that presence near me, it had to go away. I'm not sure if it DID go away though. 26 aug 09 You forgot an assignment! NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID It was the day I had to go to the exam for my digital drawing course and apparantly... I wasn't finished yet. I had forgotten to color in one of my drawings, the drawing in fact is real but for my exam I didn't need to color that particular one So I began searching for my drawing and suddenly I found this big heap of drawings that weren't mine, they were of my teacher. They were examples of what I needed to draw and techniques. This even slowed me down more because now I had to sort my drawings and those of my teacher. When I was done I got out of my room and there were people from my class in the corridor (hmm, what the!?). And there's still girl I get along with pretty well and she said: "What! Still not done? What have you done in there for one hour!". I then explained of that mix up of drawings and she said I only had one more hour until I had to catch the train. So I got back to my room and started hooking up my digital drawing pad to my computer, looking for my pen and other stuff. Then I thought I didn't have an hour at all, the next train was already in 10 minutes, the exam however was an hour further in time. I decided I was gonna skip this train because before we went to the exam there was a concert we had to go to with the class. My intention was of using that time to draw and then join in with the class after the concert and give my drawings to my teacher. That's it :p

Pffft, if this continues I'll have to give up on my WILD attempts :/ Only 1 dream...wth, that hasn't happened it a while :O 27 aug 09 Hotel Girl NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I was in a hotel/motel kind of building (open pool in the middle), on the 2nd or 3rb floor and there was this girl that was just perfect. She was blond and had a nice figure and apparantly... she was my girlfriend. She was mad at me, kinda, and we we're talking things over. Apparantly I had 4 other girlfriends at the same time I was in a relationship with her, but I couldn't remember that at all! I really didn't remember it and I only knew I loved her and no one else. And that's what I told her, then she wasn't mad at all anymore. At that time we were in my hotel/motel room, talking on the bed. Then we were kissing and we slept together. Case closed, can't remember anything else but the fact that she was absolutly stunning

Been a while since I've updated it, I really just don't like writing I guess xD This dream is significant, finally lucid! 15 sept 09 The lucid chase DILD NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I was in a city that looks like those in Italy, all the houses were very southern and such, the buildings very close to eachother. There was some man following me, he was harrassing me or trying to at least. I kept running away and suddenly the scene was more lord of the rings landscape like. Grass and hills. I remember going over a pond or something. Then I was in my garden, I was running around like crazy, trying to shake him off me. I jumped on a wall next to my house and he passed me but then I turned 180° and ran away to the other side of my house. I jumped over the fence/hedge and landed on a palm tree in the garden of my neighbours. Btw, palmtrees are nonexistant in he region and climate I'm living The palmtree bent downwards and I jumped off, I think I shook him off me then. I was crawling through the grass to get to the front yard of my neighbours, I was crawling cos apparantly the whole family was bading in the sunlight there and sat in long chairs. So I crawled not to wake them up or notice me. I reached the street but it wasn't really like it normally is and at that moment I thought: Hey wtf is this, this is getting way too goofy and vivid, this ain't real. So then I became lucid, hoeray! I was no longer on the street but in the front portal of a house, it wasn't mine. My friends were there as well, they were discussing something and a friend of mine said: 'hey, I think I have some more champagne!'. Then I said: Hey guys, screw you, you are SO boring, this is a frigging dream... I'm not just gonna just stand and talk here, I'm gonna fly, cya!'. Flying was a bit harder than in a normal dream so it seemed, I couldn't raise while just standing so I jumped in the air and I nearly hit the ground with my bottom, then my legs started hovering up and I was kinda upside down. I was kinda startled that I was having a lucid dream and didn't really know what to do anymore. I then remembered the assignment on this forum here, it has to do with letting leaves fall of a tree and regrowing them or something. I turned around, the door was still open and went outside. The dream was fading a bit, it started to look like I was thinking it inside my head, daydreaming instead of actually dreaming and 'seeing' it. I tried to do a nose RC again but then I started wondering if those were my real hands or my dream hands, then I woke up.

Another lucid dream, very strange that I'm having another one so soon It wasn't really succesful though. I didn't write it down in the night like I did with the other dream and it's been a day now so... :/ 16 sept 09 Is it real? DILD NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I was having a vivid dream and I was lucid, then I woke up. I got out of bed and was scared I was actually still dreaming so I did a reality check: I pinched my nose and I could breathe through it! I freaked out and tried to do another check, I tried to push my hands through a wall in the corridor but it didn't work. I tried another nose RC and it didn't work as well. I thought I had really waken up then and my lucid dream was over and it was a normal dream back again. The dream was about the topic wether your still dreaming or not and being scared of not knowing. I'm actually not so afraid of that IRL though, when you REALLY wake up, you know it... you just do. False awakenings seem real to but whatever, you're gonna wake up sooner or later and then you're gonna remember that the false awakening was a dream
