      would rereading dreams improve recall?

obveously not just reading them but seeing the dream in your mind too. does anyone know if doing this during the day would have a positive outcome on recall or not? i guess it couldnt hurt.

has anyone done this and notice an improvement? the only time i read my dreams is when im writing them.

Well you should think about it. If when you are writing down your dreams you are simply recalling them using text. By recalling your dreams in your head using images or in other words replaying your dream in your head you are recalling it using a different method. Seeind as it is simply another way of recalling something it would seem logical that it would help you. So therefore recalling your dreams using images or replaying them would have a overall positive outcome and I have noticed that it does in deed help.

I don't know if rereading is better than rewriting, its like reading a book twice, you come aware of more and more details. Well, i don't use this as a technique but when im writing my dreams i always come up with some lost things in the dream i had forgotten. But i do feel like rereading can open your eyes and remember you stuff, i sure think it can improve your dream recall, if you do it everyday.

I have my own technique that i use, Its like a feeling i memorize about "What was I doing?" before this, or "Where have I been all night?".. and my dreams are always related to people so "Who have I been talking to?" and they always come. I feel like with this method I can have a great recall. I consider that.

I see you have alot of posts with trouble with recalling. You should try out rewriting or my own method. Maybe it could work. I think if you do my method everyday you manage to train your memory and inprove it.

I don't know if this has to do with anything about recalling but every day when i have to go to sleep i try to remember what i did in the day. With clear details and everything I did in class. I think that also can help you with your recall generally. Also with dreams.

its like i can read over my dreams ive had years ago and have no idea i even wrote it, let alone see it in my mind. but with newer dreams this year, yes i can still see them play out in my mind like the original recalling. that seems to be what is needed to stimulate a growth in recall.

i do notice that lately i cant usually remember my dreams upon wakening, but if i just try to think about it, it instantly comes to mind. i hope i can keep this up at least. so far its been flawless

i find it does help...another thing i do as well, is try to remember the last image, and work backwards from that.
that usually brings it back, a sort of 'hang on, there was something/someone/somewhere before that happened'
'all of the moments that already passed/
try to go back and make them last.'
