      Drugs and dream recall?

This past Sunday night, I was at a club with some friends, and someone dosed my drink. Probably accidental, but nonetheless.

Anyway, I've recovered alright, except that my dream recall is worse than I can ever remember it being. All my life, I've been able to recall my dreams fairly well, but I havent' remembered anything but snippets since Sunday, and never enough to reconstruct the dream. I was just wondering if anyone else had had this problem and if so, what there is to be done about it?

Any idea what was put into your drink? It could have had something to do with it, or it may just be part of a cycle. I know that I have times that my recall is pretty bad.

Have your sleep patterns changed much this past week as well?

The drug was GHB, which leads us to think that it was accidental, as that's not usually a drug that's 'slipped' to people. I was drinking water at the club, since I was driving, and we assume that someone put into his/her OWN water to take it slowly and therefore extend the effects somewhat, and somehow we got our water bottles mixed up without realizing it.

And yes, my sleep schedule has been all over the place recently, as I've been sleeping alot in the recovery process, and whenever I can find the time to do so. Perhaps that's part of it as well ... I just hope it comes back and I don't have to work hard just to get back my original, natural recall!

ok, drugs do affect dream recall. i know this. it makes it worse. although sometimes i can go to bed high and have amazing recall. most of the time it is bad though. so if you are having trouble with recall, make sure not to use drugs for a while. recall will improve, but it wont be as good as when it is completly out of your system.

      GHB - gamma-hydroxybutyrate is a Depressant Intoxicant

GHB is a sedative used both as a sleep-aid and as a recreational intoxicant. It is known for its ability to induce a short (several hour) coma-like sleep at high doses.

Masterfully cut and pasted from erowid.org. But that should explain why you've been having problems remembering your dreams.
