      radio or alarm

i have to wake up very earl. 5:10 to be exact. its very hard for me to wake up this early and i have to use an alarm cloc. which do you think would be less damaging to dream recall a beeping alarm or the radio?

ps: waking up by myself up is pretty much not an option since i don't get to sleep until late and i'm just terrible at waking up early on my own.

i prefer an alarm clock but one that gradually increases in volume. Not one of thoose that just all of a sudden make a huge noise.

I'm not a light sleeper, but I wake up to the 'flicking' sound of the power going on, for my stereo alarm. Then I just turn down the volume and quickly recall my dreams....

So, I like radio. Less suprising.

Yeah graduate increasing of sound Is best. To bad that my stereo goes very loud very fast =( I need an alarm that takes like 10 minutes to wake me up ^__^

However, sometimes I do wake up a few minutes (or 30) before my alarm would go off. If I wouldn't set it I would sleep for 5 more hours for sure. So maybe I could train myself to wake up at a certain time... I might try that! =)

I find a graduated alarm much nicer, it brings you out of sleep slowly. I find if i am jolted awake by something, then i'm less likely to remember my dreams.

I am going to by an alarm (needed one anyway) that wakes me up graduatly. I am sure it improves dream recall. If you wake up "OMG the alarm is going!11!' = stress. bleep....bleep... hmmm zzzz wakey wakey = relaxt = better DR.

i've heard of those alarms that wake you up slowly and have been considering getting one. can anyone recommend one that is effective and inexpensive? also, if you want, you can talk about how they've affected your DR.

I just bought a new alarm. It isn't a fancy super-dream0r-alarm or something, but it does have 2 alarms, so I can just set one 10-30 minutes after the other. I heard it's a good way to have good dreams/recall.

EDIT: Wow I think It worked, I had a nice DR today. I think eighter the alarm or the cheese allso make the dream look verry vivid.
