      My recall problems

When I wake up from a dream, I can't focus enough to write down everything I rember, I know this is a crutial part of learning lucid dreaming, but I just can't focus that early, and when I am ready to write, I can't rember the dream, any tips?

i had alot of trouble with this when i first started, i dont know if it wil lwork for you but all you have to do is close your eyes and ask yourself exactly this "what did i dream last night" and just think about that scentance in your head once i do that it starts coming back to me end to start.

hope that helps out a little

Thanks, but that's not my problem, I can rember the dream, it's just by the time I feel like writing I forget it, on a few occations I have summoned the will power to write my dream down right after waking up, but it's seldom that I do.

OH i see what the problem is now.

What i do scince i also never feel like writing the whole thing down is write 3 key words from your dream that will trigger your memory.

For example if i had a dream about a walk on the beach with my girlfriend (lets say her name is jane) and the dream included a full moon then i would write on a pad by my bedside

      Full moon, Jane, Beach

Then when i looked at those words later the dream will come back to you.

Get a voice recorder, or if you cannot afford a voice recorder, than simply narrate your dream so that you can express it out into the open air and hear yourself speak. Either way, it will help you solidify the dream into your useful memory.

when u wake up, dont move at all. try your hardest to focus on what you were last dreaming. just wait until something pops in your head and roll with it. dont try to write right away. that will screw it up. play the dream over in your head a few times and get all the details you can out of it. then try writing it down.

      may help

Never assume that you can remember a dream. Playing it over again in my head I sometimes feel like I have it flawlessly remembered, only to forget after putting it in the back of my mind.

If all else fails just go through the day with your dreams in the back of your mind, do your routine activities and some bells might go off.
