Anybody ever feel like they can't breathe?

OK, a common aspect when it comes to my dreams, expecially after I become lucid, I feel like I am suffocating. I'm just curious to see if this or anything similar happens to you all.

I often have a choking sensation when I try to enter sleep paralysis. I've never had in when becoming lucid in a dream, but I'd hazard a guess it's still due to SP. It could be that you wake up too much while being lucid, and become aware of the paralysis, thus the choking sensation. The only thing I can think of is to trying hard to remain firmly grounded in the dream, by rubbing hands and spinning, maybe that will make it go away.

When ever I try a technique that involves concentrating on breathng, i usually feel as if breathing gets harder. It makes it harder to relax and concentrate (which is hard enough as it is)
Recent Dream journal note : I was swallowed by some kind of sea-snake thing

You could have rolled over face down on you pillows with lack of oxygen.

That happened to me once. I was dreaming that the house was on fire and I was trying to blow out the flames. I was so panicked that I could barely draw enough breath to breathe, let alone blow on anything. Finally I became so distressed that I woke up and realized my face was buried in my giant feather pillow.
