      Extreme delayed DR :)

Yesterday evening at about 22:30 I was going to bed. I was just relaxing and starting up some HILD when all of a sudden I rememberd the dream I had the night before

lol most of the time if you don't remember a dream allmost right away it just totally gets erased from your momory... maybe It was becouse I had the feeling all day long that the dream was on the tip of my tounge (brain ) I allso knew it was about a videogame in the morning, but nothing more.

Anyhow then I wrote down exactly what happend and shit. But I was kind of happy becouse the last few days my DR sucked abit... luckily I just rememberd 2 dreams this morning again ^__^

Anyway, anyone else had something like this? I think it would be highly inikely that anyone would remember a dream that happend a night ago..

This has happened to me before, not long ago if fact. I was just dozing off when I remembered a dream I had previously. The dream I had that night was very simular in mood etc, than the one I remembered while dozing off. I wonder why....

This happens to me alot, only not with lucids. And it's not that I just then realize I had a dream the night before. I usually completely forget it about 2 minutes after waking, and then remember before I go to bed that night.

      Tip?

Like many of you I forget most of my dreams as soon as I wake up. Thats why I have purchased a small cassette recorder which I keep near my bed. It really surprises me to listen to the tapes later on (because I usually dictate and then fall back to sleep). Its the best thing! Try out, fo shizzle.

A lot of times I remember more details of my dreams from the night before as I crawl into bed. I think it's a combination of being in the same place as I was when I had the dream (my bed), in the same sleeping position, or just the smell of my bed. Those small things can trigger your memory very well.

Hmmm, I am allways to lazy to grab pen and paper... to bad that, otherwise nice way to record your dreams, would wake up my dad : (

Before i had intent on LD, i was able to have good dream recall. Now if i dont remember it before i get up, it's completely gone.

I usually remember all my dreams as soon as I wake up after them (or sometimes a few moments afterward). On rare occasions, I may see an otherwise ordinary, significant object in the middle of the day, and it will suddenly remind me of a dream I had, but I almost always remember very little of it, maybe just one image and that's it. Other than that, I don't think I ever remember dreams from previous nights; if I do, I have no clue when I had them, so I have no way of knowing whether I had them the previous night or earlier.
