      Do any of you...?

I know that in Dream Recall its wise to wake up several times at night..
I began doing a "dream diary" three days ago when I read about this.
This night was super for recalling because all without help I simply woke up after each dream, wrote it down and went to sleep again.
Does any of you have this special "ability" ?
Life is nothing but a shadow of a passing nightmare...

It is not actually an ability. This is cause and effect.
You are reaping the rewards of your efforts.
This is why it is so commonly expressed that it is so important to keep a journal/diary and to tell yourself you will remember to wake up after you have a dream.

It's not the standard, but quite common. Training to wake up a at certain time without any external things like alarm-clocks could be a second step. In fact there's a whole lot to explore. When I go to sleep it's like doing a decision in the future... I can choose whether I want to wake up to remember dreams or use WBTB or if I want to sleep through the night. And you can just chose the time you want to wake up by intent and a bit of practice. It's really great to be independent of alarm-clocks and such. Usually if people have FAs and then a dream of going to school etc. it's not that they actually really didn't hear the alarm-clock, they just don't want to go to school so their subconscious might as well let them stay in bed for a bit longer.

      It is...

It's not something I trained and I only kept a "dream diary" for three days now.
This happened all natural last night and I didn't ask myself for it, tell myself to do it or anything else. It just happened.
      Is that normal?

Your use of "natural" is not very precise. You formed the intent to remember your dreams and kept a dream diary. It doesn't matter whether you feel the intent or speak it out loud or imagine it visually. It's enough to just have one, and it's just as natural to use autosuggestion as it is to imagine it or just 'will it to happen'. Yes, it is normal.

I keep a pad of paper and a pen next to my bed. I wake up several times during sleep. The problem? I can't get the motivation to actually reach over, grab the notepad and write anything down. Am I just lazy or am I missing something?

Just keeping a dream journal can have this effect. It's always in the back of your mind that you will recall your dreams so you can write them down, therefore your mind wakes up after each dream so you can recall it perfectly and write it down. It's al related to conditioning your mind to do what you want. After I started keeping a dream journal, my recall increased 100%. It's cause and effect.

Sometimes I can't be motivated either, that usually means the dream was boring and not worth remembering. so usually how interesting the dream was is the motivation.

My body clock seems to work almost perfectly, I wake up multiple times a night like most people but if I need to wake up at a specific time I can. I found this out when I set my alarm for 5:00 and I woke up at 4:59 (I usually get up at 7:00) so I tried setting my alarm for a time like 4:39, I woke up at 4:38.

Speak of the devil. I hate waking up one minute before my alarm clock goes off. It just like, "It's only a minute but still... I wanted that extra minue of sleep."

I was doing it so I could WBTB before I had to get up for school, but when I woke up before the alarm I knew it was going to go off soon and waiting for it before I can try anything is annoying.

I do this all the time and have been able to when I want it. For me the problem is turning it off when I am especially tired so that I can get a regular night of sleep.
