      Waking up with an alarm.

do you have to use an alarm to wake up after each REM period to remember dreams better?
i just kind of find it inconvenient for the people that sleep near me, and dont want to annoy them every night.

what im saying is: is there another way to wake up or remember the dreams you had in the middle of the night?

i started waking up naturally after most REM cycles just by getting in the habit of trying to remember all of my dreams. i think intent is the key, and if you intend seriously enough to wake up multiple times throughout the night, you have a pretty good chance of doing exactly that.
