      My dreamsign...

Today I just figured out my dream sign. It is my driveway... Most of my dreams take place on my driveway with weird people. For example, going up my driveway is a common dreamsign for me... or doing something on my driveway like a war or putting out an imaginary fire ...

Also, my other dream signs are teeth falling out or they are weird looking (which doesn't happen to often), or not being able to run or something, and being in public with out pants or shirt (I'm never naked thank god )
I had one of those not being able to run ones (and a going up my drive way one in which I ran up it really fast even know it was 2 tenths of a mile and I'm fat ) last night and it was so cool because I started runnign backwards instead and I went of a jump (and everything turned into slo-mo) and I did 2 360s (a 720 but they seemed seperate somehow).

And I have a question, how do I use my dream signs to my advantage... I would check if I'm dreaming when something like this happens but I'm always able to run. I think that I would at least check if I'm dreaming every time my driveway comes up somehow and tell myself throughout the day to recognize it and know I'm dreaming when I see something like it...

Lol, I was bored so I felt like sharing...
      Any advice?

Every time you see your driveway in reality, do a check. It should eventualy make it's wat to your dreams.

Once I figured out what they were, I found dream signs very useful. Lately, I get mostly lucid by recognizing dream signs.

First, I try to do a reality test whenever I recognize one of my dreamsigns. For example, I seem to drive a lot with my car in my dreams, so I made a habit to do a RT whenever I enter my car.

Second, when I do a RT for another reason (like, e.g., every full hour) , I now do always 3 things

      (1) watching out for dreamsigns in my environment
      (2) trying to figure out how I got into the current situation, and if there were any dreamsigns during that time
      (3) checking the stability of my environment (usually reading the numbers on my digital watch several time)
      Sleep well and prosper.

I am beginning to recognize out-of-place people as dream signs. I dreamed I was having dinner with my next door neighbours once. Suddenly I realized that it was not possible for them to both be there because the husband, in real life, was out on the tugboat for a month tour of duty on the Mississippi River. I did a reality check by looking at my left hand and making my fingers grow real long. Dead relatives are dreamsigns to me. People I don't know being where they don't belong are also dream signs for me, like strangers at family reunions. Vehicles I used to own are also dreamsigns. My old '72 Suzuki t-350 has shown up in many dreams.

      my dreamsigns

My car not functioning correctly is one of mine. Sometimes I will get really frustrated trying to work this car that's not doing what it normally does. Maybe because I'm bad with cars anyway - as far as knowing how the inside works and all. Another thing is my sense of morality - if I'm doing something I normally wouldn't do, in waking life, for personal moral reasons. I've tried to use my glasses as a dreamsign but I generally don't remember to check. If I'm not wearing glasses and I can see - I must be dreaming. Or if I take them off and can still see. One time I remembered, as i was floating high in the earth's atmosphere, looking at some stars, to see what things would look like with my glasses off (since I had them on but knew I was dreaming). It totally skewed my vision. And as i put them back on or took them back off again, everything began to look more and more like Dali piecing together Hubble photographs he took while strapped on the wing of a stealth jet. That's the best way I can describe it. Isn't that funny how hard it can be to describe some visions from your dreams? Anyone else - dream signs?

all my dreamsigns are things unaviable to me - like I see trains/subway tunnels a lot in my dreams, but I havent used either for like 1 year...

I see scenery from my childhood and my relatives from another contry too...

Operating any machinery is a dreamsign as well. I cant engage in a dogfight above the ocean in a WW1 airplane in real life.
I cant drive a car without a steering wheel. Neither can i reach 196mph (320 km/h) on my isuzu trooper SUV...

Another dreamsign of me is public bathrooms... i dont know why, but i used to see them a lot...

Using magic/guns is a dreamsign as well...

Yet i cant seem to recognize them... It just seem normal to blast an enemy away with a lighting bolt or confront my foes having an M16 in my hands... :yumdumdoodledum:

but i will try to recognize them...

I think my dream sign is my old house and area around it, but its almost so hard to realize it because i feel so at home. i just miss home, back in the U.S.

I am bottled, fizzy water and you are shaking me up.

Haha, I can identify with you Werburn. Well, I can conclude that anybody doing something incredibly immoral in a dream is a definite dreamsign for most people! And, I figure that the less one might do those immoral actions in real life, the stronger the distinctions of the dreamsigns.

I'm a little unsure about mine, but one funny one is complete darkness. It's happened several times, but I've yet to find out if it's really dreamsign or just sleepy yet external awareness. Another great one is when somebody says something completely irrational to me, such as "I need to take your candy for my robotic water." The weirder, the easier to tell!

I just moved, and I have the same thing as lowercase. (except for my 1st natural lucid dream, which was because our old garden was in the wrong place ^^) Most dreams are either in our old house or in another house, which basicly has the same floorplan as our house but then the furniture and all other things are really different. I havnt thought of that before, good thing I do now though, might make me more aware... yay!

      My signs

Does anyone have a dream sign of 2 different places merging into one? I get this quite often- i walk out of school and my house is right outside. I also get the sign that my eyes are really heavy and i cant keep them open- last night i had a dream of skiing down a hill with my eyes shut last night, because i couldnt open them no matter how hard i tried. This annoys me- one of the few times i actually realised i was dreaming was when everything went blurry and i couldnt manage to stay lucid. It seems to happen quite a lot. And i always have dreams either about forgetting something or being late. I rarely have a dream that doesn't involve forgetting something.

Yup, my old/new house blend sometimes, my 1st lucid dream was because I stood in the new house looking at the garden from our old house.

I used to have a lot of dreams where my house blended with my old primary school. My schoolmates always ran allover the place, wrecking my house.

I guess I have many dream signs but the one that I recently discovered helps me to become lucid is a person who appears in my dream and in my dream we are very close. In real life, we would never be around each other at all. Well, at least the chances are slim to none anywaze.
