Me too for some reason, waterslides recently have been popping up in dreams. Mainly though I normally dream about school/uni or about whatever game I am currently playing.

It looks like my dream sign is rushing to get something done or complete thinking that it is of the upmost importance. Often I will have a dream of not getting my work done for college or school or else it will just be a project that is focusing my attention and keeping me in my dream as oppose to lucid. Rather it would be nice to recognise that ultimately I am in a dream and it does not really matter if I get the required task done or not. This crops up in different ways like I could have chatted to this attractive girl but I didn't out of moral reasons as I thought I was awake if you like but the point was that I wanted to chat to her but did not have the lucidity to realise it was my choice. Even though the best choice to leave her alone I thought of it as a rule and that kept me from being lucid.
Having said this cars are often my dream signs. I am either in one or looking at one and if I look closely they are not the usual type of car. They could be a vintage car or I could be in one but I am not hearing the engine or seeing the road very clearly. I don't see or hear cars much where I live so if I do i could reality check.
This week I finally realized one of my dream signs. RUNNING! For the life of me i cannot run regularly in a dream. It's like I can't bend my knees or some shit. Sometimes, even though this should be a dead giveaway, I will just be like, "Oh I feel like I'm 'dream running' right now." and go on blindly through the dream. Looking forward I hope to recognize this and be able to enter a LD upon noticing my unusual way of running. Anybody else have this?
Mine are:
sexy womens
group of kids
and flying.
How do I do RC on flying?
Almost every dream i fly, or jump in air, or swim in air, or do some special movement that only I know in air
My understanding of dream signs is that they are supposed to be recurring and therefore recognizable clues that i'm dreaming. As such, i don't have official dream signs—at least not yet. (I'm technically a beginner.) But i have recently had success with induction by looking at buildings in my dream environment and getting curious as to what city it was. At first i thought it resembled New York City (where i once worked) because of the sheer density of structures. But i could not recognize any actual NYC landmarks. Then i tried to see if it was Vancouver (where i was living at the time). Suddenly i recognized a building in my home town, Dallas, Texas (the setting for most of my dreams—simply because i lived there for so long, i suppose). "Oh but i don't live in Dallas anymore...so this must be a dream!" I'm hoping to learn to use Dallas landmarks as dream signs. That should be efficient because, as i said, most of my dreams take place there.
Would my broken finger (imperfectly healed and thus slightly crooked) serve well as a dream sign? Or would i just get OCD about looking at my ring finger all day?
If I'm pregnant or trying to get pregnant in a dream because those parts are gone & it's impossible!
perhaps my most accurate dream sign would be not knowing I'm dreaming in a dream, since 95%+ of the time thats what I wake up from :)
My dreams tend to be all over the place, but some things are very common and could be used as dream signs.
- I'm inside a game.
- Monsters (This is by far my most common dream sign. I have ton of dreams with all kinds of monsters.)
- Gravity is different or I can control it.
- I hear music. (Strangely enough, this happens on it's own when I'm lucid or close to waking up. Music without source. At least once it has made me lucid, so it works as a dream sign.)
Here's a weird one- shooting indoors. Usually I'm shooting a rifle from indoors through a window that is closed. Then I realize that this is causing damage and I get really anxious. Sometimes, this just wakes me up, occasionally makes me lucid.
I grew up hunting and shooting, lots of emphasis on gun safety. The realization that I'm doing something so stupid and dangerous is quite a jolt.
I just though of another one. When I was a kid I took Tae Kwon Do for several years. One of the exercises we were required to do almost every class as a warmup was to squat down, grab our earlobes and duck-walk across the room, then turn around and frog-hop back, all while still squatting. Ever since, I have had frequent dreams where I adopt that pose and find that I can "hop" hundreds of feet in the air. Sometimes I try it in real life, as a reality check. Looks funny, but I live in the middle of nowhere, so nobody's watching:yddd:
Old friends
trying to go to the bathroom in dreams but it doesn't help. (lol)
Being in old places I haven't been in years.
seeing dead people
Oddities in my dreams rarely faze me. Oddly designed bathrooms, driving cars (I don't have a license) or my body suddenly becoming all wobbly and tired, on the other hand... though, more often than not, I'll just go "oh, this is just like in my dreams"... My favourite was one time where I, in the middle of a dream, thought about "missing dreamsigns" and that I was doing that now - yet not making the connection (but I became lucid later in that dream).
some main ones are being on a highway not knowing where I am; being at college and not knowing my schedule and trying to find it; being in stores/malls all around the world. Like one I was fighting a murderer (she had a knife) and I was using my martial arts training she was in the mall trying to kill everyone and then I kissed her and she tried to kill me and I defended myself and woke up.
being in the middle of a highway (though I've been so many times in real life, getting there by regular bus or even just walking...maybe some of it was dreaming who knows), being in college trying to find my class schedule, being around big rocks. I'm sure they were more I have to get back in the habit of remembering and recording my dreams.
I seem to use technology a lot in my dreams. Or sometimes I'll just have my POV be basically my internet browser. A few years ago my dream sign used to be a big black panther. Which, admittedly, was easier to point out.
I haven't gotten lucid via Dream Signs but I keep seeing School in my Dreams
Well, seeing people from my waking life(school, or familial) or fictional characters.
I do not know if its a dream sign to see famous celebrities in my dreams more often which includes my relatives who already passed away in an event. I'm having them in my dreams.
I have many dream figures and dream locations that keep re-appearing, but the only one that has made me lucid is when I am alone in my dreams, and then I am more likely to realize that I might be dreaming and more likely to do a reality check.
Serial killers or other monsters killing me.
Trains man; those god damned trains.
Mine is dreaming about my summer. I used to participate in an English immersive program and I have at least one dream about it every night or so. Gotta learn to RC whenever I think about it!
I typically go lucid when I go off by myself in a dream. It's like I have time to reflect and realize the world I'm in is actually a dream.
