did you try to wake up during the night?
or try to tell yourself "before go to bed" that's you will remember your dreams

that's all I know

This trick could help. Works for me. When you wake up just lie there with your eyes closed. Do not ask yourself what you dreamt, but what you just did. To me dreams just seem like memories, but after I know it was a dream because these memories couldn't possibly have happened since I was asleep. Just ask yourself what you just did before you woke up.

For me best works when i wake up by an alarm six hours after falling asleep. Then i go back to sleep again and somehow i wake up more times and write down short hints that would help me remember my dreams later.
If you can try it. I hope it works for you.

I remind myself several times during the day that I will recognize that I am dreaming, and that I will remember my dreams. After a particularly long dream, I tend to wake up and write them down on the papers I keep by my bedside.

If you don't want to set an alarm to wake up, drink a ton of water before going to bed. I know that sounds funny, but waking up needing to pee has forced me to rouse from dreams - and since I'm remembering them, and I'm already awake, I'm almost obliged to write them down.
Good luck

You might also try something like B6. For me, it always makes me wake up about 3 hours after I fall asleep. It causes me to sleep lighter, so the dreams are easier to retrieve. Once you get on a roll and your dream journal gets going, your dream recall will improve. It is just difficult getting over that first hurdle.

And once you get in the habbit, try not to stop. Stay consistent with your journal. Once you stop, it is hard to get it back...... In my personal experience.

I thought I wouldn't be able to remember my dreams at all, when I started. Now I remember 2-4 a night, usually in great detail. Everyone is different, but this is how I did it:

I brought myself a small tablet that would ONLY be for lucid notes and to write down my dreams. I use a pen that would only be used when writing down my dreams. It's just to make it more special to you, so it becomes important. When you go to sleep, repeat to yourself 'I will remember my dreams'. You can also try reading about lucid dreaming or such before you go to bed.

In the morning, if you do not remember your dream, don't get stressed. Be positive. Say to yourself “I'll try again tonight”. Also write that down in your dream journal. Try to write something everyday as soon as you wake up. If you do have a dream, even if it is fragmentary or blurry, write what's in your mind (what you are feeling, how you think the dream was, etc.). It took me about a month to get to the point of remembering 2-4 dreams a night. To tell you the truth, I actually get tired of writing all the dreams I had the past night.

Good luck!
