i would say about 60% of my dreams i am fishing in them. Sometimes i catch fish, and some i dont. In my last fishing dream i caught something that looked like a flounder while i was on a pier. Other fish i caught look like something from a sci-fi movie. I seem to have this recurring dream about me goin to this same lake thats off a freeway. Once off the freeway you have to walk up and down a series of hills. In one i was fishing with dogs that could take and walk like people.

What percentage of your waking life do you spend fishing or thinking about or talking about fishing? Just wondering it there is a connection. If it is very little IRL, I think this is quite strange. If it is a lot, I think that this is probably normal.

LD could be a way for people who never get enough fishing to do it some more. Also a good dream sign for you. I recommend reality checks whenever you go fishing.

See if this interpretation has any relevance to you.

      Fishing

To dream that you are fishing, indicates that you are confronting and bringing your repressed emotions to the surface. In particular, to dream that you are ice fishing, suggests that you are breaking through a hardened emotional barrier and confronting difficult feelings from your unconscious.

Consider the common phrase "fishing for compliments".

      Now here is Nowhere

I woke up this morning and got into bed. Went up to the roof and swam down the chimney to the mall. They had a special on meat so I poured some into a glass and watered the milkman. Then I drew myself home and found the fish had ate the cat the cat had ate the dog and the dog had been eaten by the mailman. Then I got out of bed and went back to sleep.

I have always had a lot of dreams about water ,being swimming or doing something in lakes or near them. Ive been around lakes my whole life which explains it. I can usually breathe underwater too which is fun. Maybe fishing is just something you think about a lot.

Are the dogs a bit frightening? Can you make out what they say or is it all growly??

From a shamanic perspective any animal or aspect of Nature that shapeshifts into semi human form and/or speaks in your language is potentially your totem Spirit nature guardian of that Nation/Family opening the possibility of a deeper spiritual relationship of it's realm....how you respond, by asking meaningful questions or showing fear determines if that Spirit will respond with ffuture deeper meaningful wisdom teachings depending on the level of our today life demonstration of respectfulness/gratitude...the response of the guardian in future dreams could be helpful to situations we are presently encountering in our life....next time, in dreaming lucidity the shapeshifting dogs could provide the Medicine Way answers to why you are fishing in your dreams and what this represents in your today world... in the shamanic perspective the dreamtime is the realtime....dream experiences are seed forms for manifestation in the mirage of our today world...
