      Dream Recall

My Dream Recall is terrible... I only remember 1 dream a night(if I'm lucky enough to remember that one) but I know I've had a dream the night before, I just can't remember it... any exercises or brain stuff I could do to help my Dream Recall?

Dream Journalling is the absolute best method for remembering your dreams. Keep a notepad and pen(cil) by your bed, and whenever you remember a dream or anything about one, write it down. Whether its the whole dream, a chunk of it, scattered bits and pieces, a scene, a person, a place, a feeling or mood, or just that incredibly annoying feeling of "Damn it! I had a dream but I can't remember a damn thing about it!"

When you wake up, wake up slowly. Keep your eyes closed, and concentrate on remembering the dream. When you remember something about it, always think "What did I do before that? And that?"

A method to help this is the WBTB method. WBTB=Wake Back to Bed. What it simply does is crushes your later REM periods closer together, and you'll have longer, more vivid and more memorable dream, thus recalling them much easier. The method is simple. Go to bed for about 4 hours, wake up and do something for about 10-15 minutes, making use of your motor skills. Read, go for a walk, take a shower, anything. Go back to bed.

A lot of people like to use an alarm, but other ways work too, such as drinking lots of water before going to sleep

Vitamins like B6 and B12 allegedly help as well. B6 allegedly increases dream vividness, and B12 supposedly helps dream recall. Don't know if they'll help you, but give it a try if you want!

      Good Luck!
