Interesting question, I think it might. In the real world I have an interesting memory. I can recall facts, objects, scenes, details, how to do things, exceptionally well to the point people remark about it. But if I had a doctor's appointment tomorrow I'd likely forget it without a blatant reminder. I do think improving your memory in any facet, dreaming or not, could improve the other facets though. Especially where it involves lucid dreaming, because at least for me practicing lucid dreaming means questioning everything, a lot. Which necessitates paying good attention to things, which should help remember them. One of my reality checks used to be that every little bit I would try to go through the day from when I got up to where I am now, through every single thing I did. This worked because, even with perfect memory in a dream it likely didn't being "woke up at 12:44 P.M." If you go backwards through your day and the furthest you can go is "before that I was standing on the edge of a cliff overlooking a futuristic city" then yeah... there's your SIGN. |
