      Rising ocean dreamsign...

I've noticed a recurring theme in some dreams... I'm at the beach, and I either get swamped by a big huge wave, or the ocean level starts rising, higher and higher, and I'm forced to move further inland... I've also had recurring dreams about being on the beach when a tsunami is coming... Anyone else had anything similar?

Never anything with the ocean. I am assuming that this causes you anxiety.
One of my main anxiety dreams involves not being able to find something. Like my car. I use these as dream signs, most of the time they will result in lucidity.
Is the rising ocean one of your dreamsigns?

Well it rarely causes anxiety, and it's only occasionally useful as a dreamsign, it's not common enough to be a dreamsign I guess, but it's definately a recurring theme... Sometimes the tsunami will actually occur in a semi lucid dream, and I've been pretty pissed that I can't control the tsunami stuff...

Paperdoll: I don't live near a beach either ^^;;... Don't see too many beaches in Atlanta or Nashville, but then I did live in Florida for awhile, so I guess that's it...

      DAL,

If you have that dream again, maybe try diving into the water and swimming towards the tsunami instead of going away from it... Or maybe put on some scuba gear? If you're running away from it, it's probably like Seeker said and may have something to do with a fear/anxiety.

i agree with evangel. water is supposedly symbolic of emotion, bodies of water with the subconscious. could be that you need to face up to some fear, sorrow, anger, etc. - not necessarily having to do with water - before you are overwhelmed by your own emotions.

      www.joecartoon.com is great...

anyways, what medicinewoman was saying, i can totally agree on.

water is associated with emitions, usually overwhelming ones. i write some music, and sometimes it is in there.
      and with my favorite bands,too.
