I don't know the answer to your question with respect to dreamsigns specifically, but it is known that the characteristics of people's dreams are very consistent over time, even over decades.

Your dreamsigns can vary depending on your situations outside of your dreams. Keep taking notes as to what could be possible new ones. As said before, though, they usually stay pretty consistent. It would be an overstatement to say they though are there 'for life'.

It's hard to say because dreamsigns are usually a result of day residue. So when the day residue is no longer active the dreamsign will be less frequent. Then again some dreamsigns like recent tragedies or losing someone will last very long...years. IMJ

It depends. Some dream signs will last a very very very very very very long time. Some signs are constantly changing. I recently picked up lucid dreaming after a two year hiatus, and I had to find a whole new set of signs.
