I lost my ability to recall?

For the past few months, it was going fine. I was having plenty of lucids, and remembering dreams every night. But then, about 3 weeks ago, I just stopped remembering dreams. I can't remember any dreams now, no matter how hard I try. Sometimes I get brief and extremely vague flashes of memory, but then I forget them immediately after. What happened?

Firstly, I'd like to say hello and welcome as I've not met you before.

Anyway, do you keep a detailed dream journal? As in, do you write every dream that you have immediatley upon awakening until it's habitual?

It seems like quite a few elements in our lives factor into successful dream recall. I find that any time I'm stressed I totally lose my ability to recall dreams. I've had an exceptionally stressful week at work and right now my recall is at absolute zero, after a month of nearly uninterrupted recall. I really miss remembering my dreams!

man i have the exact same problem..i think it relates to my late bedtimes.

it could also be related to my desire for a first LD, as iv had one. i miss dreams.. i will try tonight.
Do not try and bend the spoon--that's impossible. Instead only try and realize the truth...there is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends

As has been posted, stress is definitely a major factor. Stress and an irregular sleeping pattern have thrown off my recall a tonne in the past year or so; I would love to (and am currently trying to) get back to where I am remembering 2-3 or more dreams a night, every night.
