      Improving dream vividness

My dream recall is improving. I usually recall one dream (sometimes more) a night. But I only recall the general outline of the dream, any conversations and visual stuff. I also sometimes remember emotions, particularly if thery are very strong.

I never recall any smell, taste, touch or sound information. Has anyone got any tips on how I could try to improve my recall of these senses?

Be aware throughout the day. Be aware of everything you touch, taste, smell and hear, and eventually you will do the same in your dreams which will make remembering them more easier.

You could also try using autosuggestion. Tell yourself that you will be able to recall these senses, and really believe that you can do it.

      Hope this helps

Just keep working on recall. I never remember my dreams THAT vividly; my "vivid" dreams are usually considered vivid when my heart is still racing after I wake up if it's an exhilerating dream.

Basically, if you want to increase vividness, keep working on your dream recall. Use autosuggestion, keep writing in your dream journal, and pick out some of your dreamsigns!

Its funny I kind of came up with this answer while thinking today. I thought that I'd like to be able to remeber my dreams as clearly as I remember yesterday in my waking life. But actually how well do I remember yesterday? Do I recall any smells, tastes or sounds from yesterday. Not really, all I remember is the basic outline of the day and a couple of conversations!

I'll have to work on being aware throughout the day. I'll try the autosuggestion too.

      Thanks for the advice.
