      Dream Recall Help

hey... i've tried to lucid dream before (without success) a couple of years ago, and i got interested again (i have a short attention span... this is my longest "spell", i guess i could say, of being interested. anyways i'm still working on my dream recall cuz it's not that clear, like i'll remember around one dream a nite, which is what alotta people say you should do, but like, it's not clear if you know what i mean, like its fuzzy and i dont remember all of it. or at least, the ending doesn't make sense, like i don't remember a single moment when the dream ended. maybe thats the way they're supposed to be, but still... anyways getting to my problem here... so like, i do autosuggestion in combination w/ MILD, cept for dream recall, not lucid dreams yet and it works too! except when i wake up, it usually takes a minute or so before my dream comes back to me unless i was RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE of a dream. so i nearly ALWAYS go right back to sleep without even thinking about dreams or writing them down or anything, and then i dont remember anything in the morning... it sux! anyone have any way to like, remind me to get up and write? thanks, and sorry bout the rambling, i do that sometimes

You're not alone. Hardly any of my dreams actually "finish". One way I used to put myself to sleep was by trying to finish them myself while in bed. It's also how I used dream re-entry to induce LDs when I had time in the morning to re-enter one.

As for recall, it sounds like you have a journal. In case you're interested, this is what I do: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=114723 - There's no real way to force yourself to journal except, as Kaniaz once said, "DO IT *****!" (that being edited by myself). I hope that was helpful and if you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Before I begin, I'll tell you this... MOVED TO THE DREAM SIGNS AND RECALL FORUM

Anyways, this is a large problem which is kind of hard to "fix." Some things you can do is write a note to yourself "Write in journal!" or something to that effect. Also, if you tell yourself the night before to remember to wake up and don't go back to sleep, you have a larger chance for it to happen.
