Does washing your sheets affect your recall?

I had this kind of experience:
I had a long dry period in recalling my dreams. My sheets were getting pretty dirty and so I decided to change them to cleaned ones. Anyway, the next two mornings I recalled 3 dreams without much trying. After those I've recalled 1-2 dreams.

So, I thought to ask if anyone else has similar kind of experiences or other experiences regarding to washing your sheets and dream recall.
Don't think about those damn kangaroos.

Heh well there's just 'something' about nice clean bed sheets. Even better if they're brand new sheets!!

I have to say I tend to sleep better the nights I change the sheets, but than again, my mornings are pretty busy and chaotic, so I have no time to actually 'make the bed' (does everyone else make their bed in the morning? or am I just an oddball?) so when the sheets get changed, that's usually when the bed gets nicely made back up again as well, other than just pulling the comforter back up to the pillows and giving it a quick straighten.

I have found lately though, my dream recall has been increasing, not sure if it's due to the fact that I've been keeping the electric blanket alot cooler than it usually is.

Yeah i reckon it might. Certainly the kind of bed, location of bed, etc. affects how well i recall dreams quite significantly; so probably the type of sheets influences recall too.

No you're not an oddball. I rarely have time to make my bed in the morning.. but I have to make if before I get in it to go to sleep at night.

My husband just burrows in but I like to have the sheets, comforter and pillows all in place before I get it!
