I was "googling" about lucid dreaming
Watching ABC news and they were going into the personal life of Jared Loughner, face shooter guy in Tucson, and they said he was a lucid dreamer so I went to teh googlez to learn what that meant and voila!
Someone told me in my dream to search for "dreaming" on the Internet. I don't remember what came up when I googled it inside the dream, but when I woke up I found this website :goodjob2:
A friend from the german community told me about it :)
dessssssssssssssssstiny
no but really, it was via lucid wiki.
Short answer:
Google.
Long answer:
When I was around ten years old I had to read a book and write a report about it for school. I can't remember which book it was, but about halfway through the story the main character had an out-of-body experience.
Years later, in December 2010, I was suddenly reminded of this story and decided to do some research on out-of-body experiences. I was reading an article about it on Wikipedia, which also mentioned lucid dreaming. Back then I already had a lucid dream before, but I didn't know what "lucid dream" meant, so I looked it up on Google.
DreamViews was one of the first results that came up. :P
A Google search for "Dream Analysis Forum". I needed someone to interpret a bizarre dream that I had.
A google search for my own blog :P
Its called thedreamvoid...but stumbled upon dreamviews and no looking back :)
A random forum that talked about lucid dreaming then a google search to hereeeeeeeeeee :D
lets just say someone from a different website mentioned this site and now i'm curious.
Many years ago, I thought about the idea of controlling dreams. I had had a LD before that, but I didn't knew I could controll it. I came over this site many times during my search for a way to control dreams, and here I am! :P
About half a year ago, I was watching TV, don't remember what program it was, but there was something about lucid dreaming. Day after that, I was bored (as always :cheeky:), I searched dreaming in wikipedia. There I found lucid dreaming wasn't sure what to think about that. (I am a skeptic) Well went along the day looking through forums about other stuff, when I saw a thread with lucid dreaming on its title. Clicked the thread, read it for a while. Someone had posted a link to this site, clicked the link and here I am. Even though I lurked around the site as a guest for about 2 weeks before I decided to join.
I needed interpretation of a dream that I had because it was the first of its kind and it was vivid. I was killing people and escaping from the police in an awesome sports car, well the main reason was because I'm killing people, it's completely different from what I'll do in real life and I needed experienced people to analysis it. I googled and DV was in one of the top results. I liked the design so I decided to create a thread in it.
But I sorta forgot about the forum for a long time till I found it again recently. :D
I was researching about Salvia Divinorum - LD - OBE, then I ended up here :D I started LDing when I was aroung 10 thus this site was like a heaven for me. Then I read about WILD which blew my mind.

While looking at the viod trilogy by Peter F Hamilton, his book "the dreaming void" I managed to find this website and my intrest in Lding was resparked.
I was researching something to help me get some insight into my dreams, and I ended up here!
I woke up and couldn't sleep
Pop onto Netflix and watched a program about dreams
Then I still couldn't sleep so i hope on the comp and googled lucid dreaming forum
and BOOOM!
Oh, you think dreamviews is your ally. But you merely adopted dreamviews; I was born in it, moulded by it.
through Google :) I was searching "Lucid Dreaming" that time
Google, and this forum didn't seem to be as elitist as the other forums I found so I joined it [:
It was one of those nights when I couldn't sleep and was just looking at random websites and found a "How to control your dreams" thing. It was the coolest thing I had ever heard so I searched on Google and found Dream Views. I'm glad I did, it changed my life more than I feel like explaining. I can honestly say it's one of the best things that has ever happened to me.
I agree, most people here are generally equal, nice atmosphere.
I feel the same, I'm pretty sure I came across it like that. Unlike with other things I also didn't doubt whether it was true or not and started researching immediately.
