I wanted to start keeping a dream journal, so I Googled about Dream Journaling and found websites about Lucid Dreaming. I found DreamViews, read it, and joined the forum a few weeks later.
Someone posted it on stumbleupon
Heard about Lucid Dreaming on another forum a while back then decided to look it up the other day and was surprised to find out that anyone can do it.
I think i was looking up lucid dreaming for information.. in google or someplace and came upon this forum... i dont know it was so long ago...
~R~
I had just read a play called "asylum" (very good, you can get about 1/2 of it on playscripts.com (net?) anyway, it's about lucid dreaming, so I googled "Lucid dreaming" and voila. Here I am. :content:
Hello all,
My name is Thimo and I live in the Netherlands.
I've found this site on my search for information in the internet.
On the site LD4ALL.com I clicked on the link and this is the way I've come on this site
Greetings
Thimo :yumdumdoodledum:
Well, in my profile I stated that I have been LD for about 2 years now but....I am not sure now. But I would say that I have been controlling my dreams for that many years though. Therefore, reality would be that I have had dream recall for over 29 years. So for 2 years I found that I could control the dreams and speak to myself while in them, doing whatever I wanted.
I felt alone and wanted to see if others out there could do the same. So, I goggled the name I gave it “dream waking”, (it may not be original, but it is what I gave it) and found an article with the words lucid dream in it, and here I am, HOME! :bigteeth:
I was directed here by the StumbleUpon add-on for Firefox, and I'm about to post my introduction.
Edit: Introduction's here.
Found a link to this forum in a halo forum (what are the odds?) the thread was about sleeping and dreaming, followed the link, liked what i saw, and joined. (i had also recently surfed wikipedia as i normally do, and just sort of stumbled onto the article about LDs)
I originally heard about lucid dreaming through a gaming site, but it wasn't till I actually had my first lucid dream that i sought a message board to learn from other lucid dreamers.
Bored on spring break so I googled random shit, and here I am!
Google, what else??
What else?:Wikipedia!
another forum.
I cant really remember any more, but I think it was through another forum I was reading.
I used Yahoo (always do, rarely Google).
I was trying to find info on having dreams within dreams, but couldn't get any hits on that. I kept getting other things like Lucid dreams, so I starting searching that and found this forum and then after much reading found out that what I'm having is False Awakenings! Whew!
Hi, I'm new!
My friend Will has been recording his dreams in a journal since October. Then I thought it sounded pretty sweet so I decided to give it a try. He didn't want me on the same forum he was on, so i found this one.
I have been recorcing my dreams since january 5th, so I'm a total newbie.
O yah, and for the Google vs. anything else...I just typed lucid dreaming into Google.
My friend's way of finding his forum was more intresting. He is color blind and he was reading stuff on that, he is also obsessed with the Beattles and the science behind LSD. A link on a LSD website brought him to the lucid dreaming forum he is currently on
Gzoogle.
Basically I've been trying to do this for a while.

Hello,
I found this site on accident, but I think it is definately what I was looking for. I started doing journals 5 years ago and am still seeking the lucid dream.

I knew from a member.
My husband.
He's addicted :dreaming:
I was sitting at the pc and was really tired. My eyes were closing and I was thinking 'What if I could control my dreams' so I immediately opened my eyes and googled controlling dreams and I found various websites on it, but then I found dreamviews and read everything for an hour and then clicked on message board.
The funny thing is that almost a year ago we had to do a speech for English. I picked out a topic from a bag, and it was the world of dreams. So when I was doing my research online for dreaming, I discovered lucid dreaming and a definition and even added it to my speech, but I never actually thought about trying it. ***Wishes I had started lucid dreaming when I first heard of it***
Hiya!
As far as Dreamviews goes, I think that though this site is more focussed on Lucid Dreaming, that said, there's still a MASS of information about pretty much every dreaming-related topic there is. So yeah. I'm no expert about FA's, I've only had them a few times, mostly in WILDs or when I'm waking up slowly from a dream and get confused.
But yeah. Welcome!
I found it in a dream. ;)
Actually, I started typing in random URLs in hopes of finding something interesting, and volia: I found this place. That's a success in my book. :)
