Thread: DVA Awards System

Some time ago I promised to set up a genuine award system for the DVA. Now the time has come to introduce it!

By clicking here u get to the new DVA Awards page. There people can watch all existing DVA Awards and which people already have them.

The system works this way: Once a user passes a DVA course, you (=DVA staff) will assign him the appropriate course award. This award will be shown in the postbit of the user (check Dreambot's post below) and in his profile (not unlocked yet).

As you can see the current images for the awards are default ones which are not quite appealing. So what I want from you now is to create genuine images for all possible DVA courses. You are free to take the current graphics and modify them. Just watch out that the new ones have the exact same format and size like the current ones.

If no DVA staffer is able to do this, please let me know quickly, so I'll assign this task to someone else.

However, please do not talk about this system with anyone but DVA staff at this point.

Could the award for my course say something like "Intro to Dreaming/DC Award" then underneath it should be Dream Control, not Dream Character

Anyone really good at editing? Like photoshop editing? We could take something like this...



And change the colours, or put a class acronym inside it...?

Mmmm it would be really small. Is there a chance we can change the dimensions?

Someone much better at editing than I could probably trace it with a selector tool and enhance it. I'm not that person for the job I have no skills with picture-y things! I'm just good at finding images

Ok wow, sounds good. Unfortunately, I don't have photoshop so I'm not exactly the person for the job. Just to let you know.

Ok I am still working on finding an artist for us. I am sending out PMs right now.

i have a broken right/main hand atm
but i'll have a crack at it within a couple days, depending on if the surgery tomorrow leaves me able to click or not

Thanks a bunch. Don't strain your hand after the surgery. Take a few days before trying. It does suck getting work done on your hand because it is something you use a lot. Just take it slow.
