Homestuck

Homestuck is an online comic written by Andrew Hussie, as of now it is 3,462 pages long and is still being written. I can't really tell you a lot about the comic without spoiling it, I guess the most I can tell is it's about 4 kids who play a video game. Trust me, it gets a lot more interesting. This comic is so big that it has it's own art and music team. Some pages have flash movies of one being 5 minutes long! There is a lot of plot and characters and all kinds of stuff, Andrew updates with a couple of new pages about everyday unless he is working on a flash. I'm sure some of you are familiar with it, if not I highly recommend you read it. Be warned, it starts of excruciatingly slow, but stick with it you'll be glad you did. A while back I read maybe the first 30 updates, then I just gave up. Interactive stories are a lot of fun, but it's very hard to get into them if you weren't there from a very early point.

XKCD is better anyway XKCD is pretty good, but it doesn't have an engaging storyline and character development. It also doesn't have occasional flash updates with amazing music. Interactive stories are a lot of fun, It's not an interactive story. It doesn't branch out or anything, it's all straight forward. Also, the first act, as stated in the first post, is "excruciatingly slow." It gets better.

Aha. Maybe I should give it a shot later. I really hated the beginning of the series though. As has been said in this thread, it goes really really slow.

I read like the first couple hundred pages or so. Got about 80 pages into the third intermission and ragequit. Haven't looked back since!

Aha. Maybe I should give it a shot later. I really hated the beginning of the series though. As has been said in this thread, it goes really really slow. Yeah, the start goes really slow. I mean the best I can say is that the slow beginning sets up for a lot of plot later on.

Ok, right now I've made it through the introduction of both kids and his house is now standing on a pillar of Earth. I like how it's going so far, the whole game thing is kind of intriguing.
