Dv| Counter Strike Clan Server

Hey hey, everyone! I know i've had this topic up here before, but a number of factors kept it from actually happening. Now that Source server prices have fallen, significantly, its now do-able to have a DV CS server so we can both spread the word of LD-ing with the help of DreamViews, and have a great time while doing it. Once the server comes in, i'll post the I.P. Address here for anyone that plays CS:S. in the meantime, i need players to help be Assistant Admins and keep the server running smoothly. I have some people interested that i know, but it would be nice if I could get some people from here at DreamViews. For those who know, the admins plug in i plan on using will be the Mani Plug in. Easy to use, and quick to set up. All i ask is some minor donations( $5 to $10 USD), just to get things rolling ( Ill set up a paypal account for it over the weekend).I'll pay for it initially, but with gas prices, its gonna take some outside help . then maybe later on ill take what money we have raised (a portion of which will go, monthly, to the DreamViews Website itself) and maybe purchase a Dedicated Server so we won't have to rent anymore. I think this will be a great way, for those of us to far away to get together, to meet and have a good time in a great and fun enviroment. for those who play counter-strike, you know how much fun it is to go to a server where you are known and can have a great time,, and I hope to create that kind of atmosphere with this venture. the Clan tag i was thinking would look like this: Dv| Doc Holliday . Huh, thats odd, i replied to your post but it didnt register i 'spose. alrighty! our first month has been paid for and i should be receiving the IP in about a week or so along with stats and such. A few questions... How much does the server cost? What kinds of things do the admins do? Is there going to be some kind of password? When came we arrange a game? Anyone up for playing this Saturday? I'm in the UK, so how about 22:00 GMT (16:00 Central)?

The Server costs $60 USD a month. The Admin mod it uses is Mani Admin Plug in, so an admin can do anything from Ban and Kick players, to Slap, freeze and Set ablaze. There is no password, its an open server, available to anyone that has Counter Strike to play, we run Valve AntiCheat 2 to insure no hackers or cheaters log on, and as far as when we can set up a game, the server runs 24/7, so whenever you want to Log on and play, come on in a join us

BOTS SUCK! I tryed today to play in the DV cs server and i was trying to comunicate with the people for like 10 min untill i relised there bots... anyway... whever anyone want to get pwn3d in CS by by just give me an email to [email protected] I have Gtalk to it alerts me when i get a new message

ill have to work on gettin people in over night, but during the day it does pretty well. In an attempt to get get more players and a better base, the servers being converted to Day of Defeat: Source. With CAL coming up for DoD, there should be lots of interest. As far as the clan goes, if you have CS or DoD or Steam for that matter, just PM me youre SteamID ( To get your steamID visit any server, go to Console [~ button] and type "status", highlight and copy the line with your name in it, and just send it to me, it should look like this: STEAM: 0:000000, or something close to it.) and DreamViews Members are automatically made Assistant Admins. Once we recruit more from the gamer base, i'll post the practice schedule here.
