"I was looking back to see if you were looking back at me to see me looking back at you".
Be Here Now
It's extremely popular of a feature film. Go to any book/video store, chances are it's there. Especially if it's a new age store. |

Curiosity killed the cat but at least it didnt die an ignorant bastard
I saw the movie in 2004 when it first came out. Yeah, some of it was kinda airy and New Agey. One part that made me cringe is the scene where Amanda throws away her medication. Granted, one can elevate their consciousness and grow spiritually and emotionally through many disciplines offered on this planet on which we reside . . . but I would seriously advise someone under a doctor's care for emotional and/or physical disorders to not just toss away their meds in a sudden burst of anticipated enlightenment. As for the general tone of the movie, I'd have to say that I did enjoy it. To many of us on some sort of spiritual quest, perhaps the message DID come across as a little overly-simplistic. However, it's my contention that a large segment of human beings simply don't bother to think past their televisions and morning newspapers; they simply wait to be told what to do next, hoping the person doing the "telling" is onto something. For people who are like that (and yours truly certainly once was, so I make no judgment, I'm just expressing empathy), I think that "What The Bleep . . . " was, indeed, long overdue. I liked the movie's emphasis on creating peace, something this blue globe of ours is in dire need of if we don't want to end up having the topography of the moon or mars. |

I thought this was a very thought provoking documentary. |

The movie was good. I liked seeing the main character walk around in Portland Oregon that's my stomping ground. Belive me when I say there are plenty of hippie chicks on the Max (the light rail system she was ridding on) |
