Alright, all you fans of the Sci Fi/Fantasy genre, name some of your favorite series.
Can be any media: book, graphic novel, comic, even t.v. show or movie.
I guess it could include your favorite author as well, since many authors of sci fi/fantasy write multiple works with a common theme while technically not contained in one continuous series.
The Sandman - Neil Gaiman. Actually, I haven't read anything of Neil that didn't immediately become one of my favorites of all time.
Akira - Katsuhiro Otomo (the graphic novels), much longer and more in depth than the movie. But then, that's true for most original inspirations for movies.
Dragonball Z - the t.v. show and movies
Dragon Prince - Melanie Rawn
The Matrix Trilogy - Wichowski brothers. Including the Animatrix.
Vampire Hunter D - The two movies are great, but again, the books they were inspired by are even better. Especially the first one.
Evangelion - anime t.v. show
Hayao Miyazaki - Japanese anime director. His entire body of work is spectacular.
Wheel of Time- Robert Jordan.
Speaking of which, does anyone know of any high fantasy epics out there that I could get into. I've felt pretty empty after finishing this series. If it came anywhere close to it, I would be happy.
