OK, people: i've decided to make a thread in which i'll post some reviews of movies, tv series, maybe some books, and music... also note that these are MY revies and opinions, and that you respect them, as i will respect your's... feel free to comment on movies i've reviewed, feel free to debate about them, and.... well... i can't think of anything else... i shall also post my reviews at the IMDb website, and i will comment about them with a series of things i can comment on (i have absolutely NO IDEA what word i'm searching for)... example: -summary: WTF is it about? -genre: what to expect -languages... and which one to take -music: self explanatoraryly -length: see above -voice acting -acting -how it (probably) could've been improved (in other words: what i'd like to change (note: this will not always improve stuff) -memorable quotes: i'll try to get some quotes i found memorable -memorable scenes: scenes i found were great... right... that sums it up nicely... now prepare, as i will make my first review note: let's see how long i can keep writing sh*t and not get bored enjoy!

OMG! double post! so: this'll be the first review i'll make and it's about the anime i've had waited for for SOOOO LONG, and the one i just HAD to see... cut post here: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- name: "Rabu Hina" (a.k.a.: "Love Hina) episodes: 24 of 22 minutes each, with 2 movies of 45 minutes each, then there's an OVA serie of 3 episodes of 22 minutes each, and then there's a start of a second season (never finished) of 1 episode of 22 minutes... (names: "love hina", "love hina :christmas special", "love hina: spring special", "love hina again", and "love hina" (2nd season, one episode) Plot Summary: Keitaro, age: 20, successfull attempts to enter "toudai" (Tokyo U(niversity)):0 failed attempts to ender toudai: 2, girlfriends he ever had:0 reason?: when he was a child, he was a friend with a little girl, now when the girl had to move away, they made a promise, to meet each other at toudai when they'd grown up, where they'd "live happily ever after", since the myths say so... and as if failing his entrance exams twice already wasn't enough... his parents decide not to support K anymore... and yet... things start to look better for him when his grandmother decides to make him the caretaker of her inn, while she goes away for a while... what he doesn't know is that the inn has been a female dormitory for awhile... the group of tenants, who all are unique in some way, tease him, and desperately try to get him out with their secret plan of loading him with as much work as possible... and yet he won't give up on doing his job... or getting into the Tokyo U to meet his childhood friend... if only he could remember her face... or her name... Genre:Romance, Comedy, animation Characters: the characters in this anime are particulary unique, and extremely original... this serie has probably one of the strongest cast of any anime in this genre... the absolute main characters are: -Urashima Keitaro, - Narusegawa Naru, and Otohime Mutsumi the story follows the love connection between these 3 people, but there also is this "Seta", that plays an interresting part in this... the characters: -Urashima Keitaro: Da Loser: Incredibly Clumsy, always slipping, falling, or touching the girls where it (to say but the least) not so appropriate, and yeat... he's a very likeable character... as the series goes on, he gets more and more accustomed to the girls, and they to him... which makes just THAT bit more interresting -Narusegawa Naru: a great character... really well done, and above all: believable... except for the fact she kicks big K to the stars everytime there is just a hint of pervere actions... (which, at times, can both be annoying, or incredibly funny)... she tries to make herself look strong and secure on the outside... but is extremely insecure on the inside... get GREAT GRADES WHEN MAKING TESTS YAY!!!! -Otohime Mutsumi: strange... just weird: gets even worse grades than Keitaro on the entrance exam (and thus, has also failed them multiple times), faints at random times... almost dies at random moments... and yet, extremely polite... and she REALLY likes watermelons... -Maehara Shinobu: 14 years old, and has mastered the art of cooking and cleaning... very cute, and extremely shy... one of the first girls to get a crush on K (love triangle&#33... -Aoyama Motoko: Samurai chick who fiercely battles for feminism... at the start... since she didn't approve of a man in control of the inn... but later in the series, they all go along... and everything becomes well again (yay&#33. -Konno Mitsune: a.k.a. "Kitsune" ("Fox") for her fox-like face... she and Suu always ALWAYS make things go ludicrously insane... as she is Nosy, prone to getting drunk, and meddling... -Kaolla Suu: 14 years old, has a photographic memory, and is a GENIOUS... too bad shes weird... -Haruka: an interresting character... extremely laid back on even the craziest of situations... shes older than the girls, and they look up to her. the aunt of Keitaro... -Nariyasu Seta: Professor Seta for you... works at Toudai as an archeology teacher... and (of course ) is an archaeologist... very adventurous, and just crazy when driving his car... the story:the story's centre is the love connection with Seta, Naru, Mutsumi, and of course: Keitaro... at times... another of the girls will develop a crush towards him to bring even more life into the mix... the plot isn't THAT groundbreaking, but the series do a great job at sucking the viewer in, making them prone to the "just-one-more-episode-syndrome"... i found myself relating to the characters. the worse (but not too bad) points are that the anime never actually rounds off the story: it isn't finished... when i finished the anime, the 2 movies, and "Love hina:again", and the 25th episode... i was left unfulfilled... the reason they "started" the second series (the 25th episode ) but never finished it.... is because they didn't have any money anymore... so i've forgiven them... there also are a bit too many filler episodes... while some are just bad and boooooooooring... the biggest part were well made, and enjoyable. Music: ABSOLUTELY GREAT... from now on... there will be a genre of music known as "love hina". the music is really well made... it sets the atmosphere perfectly, and it is just beautiful. the pieces are really well thought out, and none of them are the same, and yet they also are: when you hear a song of love hina, you KNOW it's a song of love hina. the ending song was a little bit less... (i thought)... but the opening song is just fantastic... you'll be singing it along after 3 episodes... conclusion: there is no way you'll dislike this anime serie... you can only be dissapointed by it's ending... and the maybe just too much filler episodes... another great point of this serie is that it combines humor with not-so humorous situations... i found myself laughing at times, and right after that: i thought: "WhyTF did i just laugh?" the specials: you definately HAVE to watch the christmas special... but i think the spring special isn't that good... love hina again wasn't that good either) languages: Japanese, and English so, should i choose subs or dubs? in my opinion, you should do subs... so: put on that japanese audio and read, lazy buggers!!! my tip: watch the anime first, and then read the manga... you'll have the same laughs and tears all over again, as well as many others... (note: i found the manga better than the anime... but at some points the anime makes great, subtle changes... the best of all is that shinobu is already there in the manga... and in the anime: they get her in after the serie starts... but it's a great entrance, i tel you... memorable music: "Sakura Saku" (opening song -"warmth" -"Koi no tenshi maiorite" (from winter special) -"Twilight" -"hinata inn's theme" -and much, much more memorable quotes: [Mutsumi gets a perfect score on her practice exam] Naru Narusegawa: Wow! Urashima Keitaro: You got a perfect score! Naru Narusegawa: You're actually a total genius! Urashima Keitaro: H-How could you fail the entrance exam three times with these scores? Mutsumi Otohime: Well, I'm guessing it's because I'm a klutz and I'm frail, and I'd keep forgetting to write down my name, or I'd faint before reaching the exam hall and be hospitalized. - [Naru meets flunkee Keitaro at cram school] Naru Narusegawa: Third-time loser? [Screams] Naru Narusegawa: Let go of me! What if your grades are contagious? [hits keitaro, who flies around the entire corridor] - [Kitsune "accidentally" dumps water on Naru's cheerleading uniform] Naru Narusegawa: W-What the heck are you doing, Kitsune? Mitsune 'Kitsune' Konno: Sorry! I'm really sorry! My hand slipped! Naru Narusegawa: I have to be at work in a few minutes! What am I gonna do now? Mitsune 'Kitsune' Konno: I feel SO bad! I'll earn your share of the money, so please forgive me! Naru Narusegawa: You will? Mitsune 'Kitsune' Konno: Cross my heart, trust me. Just look into these eyes. (since she always has her eyes CLOSED... this is funny ) - [a giant mechanical turtle-robot is about to crush the hinata inn] Kaolla Suu: the target is about to breach the last line of defense! Cool. I do a lotta music reviews for my high school newspaper (We're one of the ones that doesn't suck, like, ranked in the top 10 nationally most of the time) and it's a lotta fun to write (Most of the time.) Although the format we use is a lot different. Reviews = awesome
